I bought some flowers back on Mother's Day and what they came up with for me was wonderful! I gave them a budget, gave them examples and a color palette of what I wanted, and they were able to do a last minute delivery as well. I don't live in the area, so this was all over the phone. Let me just say, the flowers were such a beautiful surprise for whom they were gifted! They came together so beautifully. I appreciate them listening to me and giving suggestions! read more

I absolutely love this shop! Don't let the size of the "kiosk" fool you... this is a full service florist! I was particularly pleased with the arrangements they did for my mother's funeral. They created a heart wreath from the grandkids and a tropical spray for the top of the casket. Their flowers are top quality, full of color, and very fragrant. Also, although I do not have a photo, Flowers à la Carte came through a pinch when we had a last-minute homecoming-goer and needed a corsage. They had several options on hand and ready to sell just two hours before the dance started! Great service. Friendly staff. read more

Purchased flowers and had them delivered for a birthday gift. and ordered the designers choice bouquet. I figured for $180 I would get something that doesn't look like it was picked up at Vons and thrown in a vase. Wild what they are charging for a very lack luster bouquet. I would definitely look elsewhere for arrangements unless you would like to over priced arrangements. read more

I ordered flowers for my mom from Flowers 'a La Carte on mothers day. It's been a while, but when I was scrolling through photos, I felt the need to write a review about this beautiful arrangement! I made a walk-in order about a week in advance. I told them my budget was $50 and showed them some reference photos that I had saved from their instagram account along with the color scheme that I wanted for my mom. They were very helpful in putting those images I had brought into words and showed me what types of flowers they were. I had to call them a couple of days later to adjust the pick up time, and they allowed me make the change. When I went back for the flowers, I was pleasantly surprised with a in bouquet of pink pastel happiness! Next time I think I'll ask for an earthy arrangement just because I'm curious of how beautiful they will be. read more

This place is unbelievably unreliable with their delivery service. My first order I set for morning delivery, by noon the flowers still weren't delivered. I called and left several messages and emails. I was later told through email that my order was delivered but I saw no one come to my front door through my cameras. I come from work and of course there are no flowers delivered so I leave several voicemail at the business and an hour later someone contacts my wife and sure enough the damn flowers were delivered at the wrong address! A few months later, I decided to give them another try thinking the first might have been a fluke. I set the delivery for morning time, but again it didn't come on time and was delivered late. That's 2 strikes. I like supporting local business, not bad ones. Never again. read more

Ordered half a dozen flowers for my daughter's last soccer game at RBHS. Got three flowers and a broken one laying on top. In had my second daughter pick them up, otherwise I would never have accepted them. For the cost of $50 you would expect more. I was embarrassed to give them to my daughter and had to apologize. I recently ordered a graduation Lei for my niece from this this florist. I called & was asked to order online. I realized I added the incorrect pickup date when I ordered so I called & whomever I spoke with promptly changed it. I called several times the day of pickup to confirm if the Lei was ready. Unfortunately, I was unable to get through or leave a voice-mail, as the mailbox was full. However, I took the chance & left on my lunch break as planned to pick up the Lei. When I got there, a sweet blonde lady helped me. She did not have my Lei, but after a quick phone call, she was able to confirm where it was & that it would be there in about 20 minutes. I was unable to wait (only 30 minute lunches) & I worked til the time they closed. They were able to accommodate me by delivering it to me (I believe by the owner) & my goodness, the Lei is GORGEOUS. I know my niece is going to love it! Happy to recommend this florist to anyone else! Just plan ahead because they seem like a tiny business run by those who wear many hats to make their customers happy! Cannot wait to order from them again! read more

I was so super duper impressed with this company and personally Kien. Even at this precarious time (quarantine due to Covid), Kien Answered my phone call at night when I just found out my friend's brother passed away from a car accident. I was trying to help a friend who is from Canada to get flowers for her so it's kind of a complicated situation. 2 for 2. Second time I come to this place and ask them to make me a pretty seasonal bouquet for $50, second time they exceed my expectations. Great florists aren't too common. People own flower shops, but not everyone is a florist, not everyone has an eye for flowers, colors and arrangement. They got that special touch. Fifty dollars really isn't too much to pay for a beautiful bouquet to make someone smile. This place is it. Grab your flowers here over a super market. Yah you may save 10 bucks at the super market. But I think your person may be worth the extra money. Don't be cheap. Cause you get what you pay for. read more

So disappointed... I made sure that I asked Faith for my delivery to take place at a specific time in the afternoon- 4:00, and she assured me my $65 (+ $15 delivery fee) was well invested in a shoppe that would honor my request. However, my delivery was made just after 2:00, and the desired outcome was all but lost. This was a special occasion, and Flowers a la Carte didn't seem to treat it as such. While the flowers were beautiful, I don't understand why I paid $15 for delivery, when the delivery wasn't carried out as expected or assured. read more

It's so hard to find a good florist, but I called Kien based on a recommendation from a buddy. Great! Professional, responsive, efficient, straight to the point. Her expert touch in analyzing what I needed and wanted was much appreciated. Kien took my order, explained the charges and within a matter of seconds I had an email receipt. Such a nice man working at this place. I hope he is the owner, which means he really knows how to run the business and take care of customers, even prospective ones. We were just walking by to our car parked close to the Flower shop and our little one just tried to sniff a flowers as she usually do when seeing them and the guy gifted her a beautiful rose. My first time using Flowers A La Carte. I ordered flowers online. They have an amazing selection of flower arrangements. After I placed my order I called to ask if they could possibly deliver today. He was so nice and helpful. He said I will personally make sure they are delivered today. They also called me to let me know they were delivered. They have awesome customer service and do amazing flowers. There flower arrangements are so creative. My friends said they were gorgeous. They especially loved the iris! This was our go to place for flowers, until today! My son ordered a corsage for prom. We went in person with picture and the person working helped me order using 'florist terms'...baby red roses (her dress is red so true red roses very important), black ribbon and baby's breath. Easy right?! Picked up and the roses were deep burgundy. The woman (not owner) at place was very nice and understanding as she agreed the red was not right. They would have another made by 5. I was so grateful. Received a call but no message. Went at 4:30 to be told owner would call me. She did and proceeded to tell me they gave me what I ordered and that is "what nature gave me"! I said given the aren't true red roses the website says they would call to discuss any discrepancy. Silence! I asked how we can make this right and she said she takes customer service "seriously" but she made the corsage and it is what I ordered so no ability to replace roses with red nor give my son a refund of $48.00. No longer our florist of choice. Went to Four Seasons in PQ, they had one ready at 8:30am for my son and it has true red roses and so pretty! Another $36 but well worth it! read more

Looking for a florist for your wedding is a daunting task....however, Kien made the process SO unbelievably simple. I stopped by the shop, let the gal working know that I was in need of a proposal for my wedding. Kien called me not even two days later and we set up an appointment. We met at a Coffee Bean and went over every little detail. I had a very specific vision and she completely understood! Not only did she understand, she over delivered. I mean seriously, everything was even better than I expected it to be. Since the wedding, I've gone back to Kien's shop for birthday flowers for my mom, arrangements for my house, and even my new husband swung by to pick up flowers on Valentine's Day. Whomever this mgr is who took my call....she needs a lesson in customer appreciation and not to be sassy when people are calling. 0 stars if possible! in response to the post...i did not ask for a refund of the purchase AND free flowers. I wanted the flowers...why would i want a refund and to deliever the flowers. no one works for free! I wanted a $10 refund but the gal who called me wouldnt listen, was snappy, and short.

Don't get me wrong, it was still a pretty bouquet and I know it won't always look like the ones online, but for the price that it was, it could have had more roses or something if they ran out of the ranunculus and less of the filler. This was not indicated at all during the order process so was very off putting to hear day of for a Mother's Day arrangement. I am currently out of state for work and an unknown number was calling my cellphone, it was the delivery driver from a trusted florist that was sublet to take care of my order. The driver was going to deliver to the wrong address even though she read the proper address back to me over the phone. I spent about 10-15 minutes on the phone walking her through finding the location of our home and verified delivery via camera and doorbell. When you're paying a premium price to have something done properly and this is the outcome, it was extremely disappointing. I will not be using four seasons flowers for any special occasion again, big let down on many levels. 5-10-2026: To the owner of the shop that just replied back to my review. I am not sure how much more clear I can make this to you, the CORRECT address was provided and everything was filled out appropriately on my end, I am not understanding why you are harping on the fact that this was an online order, if your operation doesn't have the capacity to accommodate this then don't offer it as a service. There is absolutely NO difference in placing an order in person, over the phone and or online. The "trusted" florist you decided to pawn this order off on still attempted to deliver to the WRONG address. Nothing about this was as a success and I cannot believe you have the audacity in a public platform to try and deflect the way that you are. I spent 10-15 minutes on the phone with an elderly delivery driver explaining to her very kindly, that wherever she was going was not the correct address, I am struggling to understand what about this are you not understanding? I am absolutely flabbergasted that instead of reaching back out in attempt to correct the issues, especially in a review, this is your stance. Your address is irrelevant when you're listed as one of the top rated florists in San Diego, if you didn't know, Chula Vista is 100% part of the city. Adding photos for context, maybe you want to rethink your "trusted" partnership approach. Pretty ridiculous again your take on things. Will NEVER be using your shop again and will be sure to spread the word to friends and family to steer clear of your establishment! Very funny that the florist is claiming this is the first email they received, my first communication to them was not the one they decided to include in their review, don't believe everything you read. The owner is incredibly defensive and does all that she can to deflect and spin any negative review to benefit her operation. Go and check yelp and google and get a kick out of it if you have time. The only thing good that came of this after airing things out publicly was a refund.

They sent the wrong order first of all-then sent a dead depressing lei rather than a the big white orchid and red rose pictured. I can see from the comments above that they have done this same mistake many times. One or two times is reasonable, but to keep repeating that mistake and ruining people's orders by cutting corners and using cheap Flowers as fillers is called a Scam or fraud. Then when I complained they agreed to refund my order. They charged me $124 for dead mini shriveled up roses a shit ton of white carnations that hadn't barely bloomed yet. And brown tipped ugly sad gloomy dead supposed to be white orchids. All the flowers were mini and there was string showing already! The Lei was shoved in a bag in a box wrapped with an ice pack. I had to sadly compost it. It was that sad. After all that. Only gave me a partial refund and won't respond anymore to me. Please Don't give this place anymore chances to screw up and scam you into buying dead flowers with carnations as fillers. (the other pics of them doing the exact same thing to other customers!)
