The only thing I will complain about is the delivery window was 12pm-6pm (very long). It was my birthday so around 3:30 he called and they told him 30-60 minutes out. I had an acupuncture appointment and was worried they would have trouble getting into my building so I gave them a directory code to open the door and directions. The flowers finally came at 7:30 pm and the delivery driver called me vs. following the directions my boyfriend gave them to get in the building and leave the flowers at the front desk. I specifically requested morning delivery, and I paid almost $200 CAD for a medium-sized arrangement expecting reliable and timely service. This delay is unacceptable, especially considering the high price paid for the order. The recipient is no longer home in the evening, which defeats the purpose of the delivery and has caused significant inconvenience. I'm sure Coley gets away with this bait and switch cheating of customers because they don't expect anyone to send flowers to themselves so the recipient has no idea what flowers were ordered. Well, I sent a beautiful Teleflora bouquet to myself for New Year's called Toast of the Town. Beautiful mercury glass vase, festive silver mask with stars to celebrate the New Year and an arrangement of roses, miniature gerberas daisies and cushion mums with seeded eucalyptus and silver-sprayed salal leaves. $70 plus $15 delivery. $85 total. What I got was some tall nondescript cheap glass vase, two roses, some carnations and some daisies with a huge glob of greenery stuffed all over dwarfing the flowers and some curly sticks sprayed silver. It's huge. It's hideous. It's horrible and it is NOT WHAT I ORDERED. While the Teleflora website does mention some substitutions Flowers by Coley substituted the entire arrangement. Everything. It bears absolutely no resemblance to what I ordered. They made sure not to put any of their business information on the print out that is supposed to substitute as the "card". I had to call around to find out who sent it. No wonder they didn't want to own up or associate with this insult to the eye. This doesn't look like something a florist would produce. It looks like something my sister would do; buy a bouquet of flowers from Home Depot, unwrap it and cram it into any handy vase. She doesn't arrange and this isn't arranged either. If you want decent flowers, go to Dave's Flower Box and avoid Flowers by Coley. I ordered this because I had a discount and credit on the Teleflora website. Never again. I don't care how much credit or discount they give me. I will never order on the Teleflora website again unless I can specify no substitutions without my authorization and NEVER Flowers by Coley. I can't stand to look at this disappointing piece of bovine excrement. I will likely chuck the entire thing, vase and twigs in the trash and foliage in the green bin. Ordered a Love's Bounty deluxe bouquet as a congratulations gift for a coworker! They had a wide variety to choose from, but I liked this one because of the mix of red and pink flowers, which give a romantic vibe. The bouquet I got had more reds than pinks, so slightly different from the online image but it was still very beautiful and full, and came in a nice vase! I believe the total ended up being around $115, which seems like a typical price for a specialty bouquet of this size. The location is very easy to get to in Kearny Mesa, with tons of parking spots. All went well except during pickup. I set my pickup time to be 3pm on a Sunday (1 hour before their official close time). I arrived on-time to find that their doors were locked! I tried calling multiple times with no answer. Finally, as I was about to drive off, I try calling one last time and got a response. One of the employees had come out of a side door and walked me in. I'm glad I stayed a bit before driving off! I wish they would advise an earlier pickup time on Sundays if they close up early, which would have prevented this issue for me. read more

Terribly disappointed with the service. My first and last time here!!! I had our millstone wedding anniversary and thought of trying out this Flowers by Coley for the first time. I did order flowers two days in advance. I made a request to deliver the flowers by noon. We were planning to get out of station for 3 days. The flowers never came. I called the office around 4 P.M. and I was placed on hold and call never answered. Around 5.30 P.M. I got a message that flowers got delivered but we had already left the place and there was no use of the flowers. I had left them a VM to cancel the delivery around 4.30 P.M. BUT I noted that they charged me and I never received my flowers!!. My anniversary was ruined and I truly regret trying this flower company for the first time. My boyfriend was visiting and wanted to bring something to my relatives as it was their first meeting. I told him my aunt LOVES lilies and found this shop with beautiful arrangements. It's located in a business area with a lot of different businesses around in the upper part of Kearny Mesa. There's a parking lot with ample parking on the side of the building. There was a boutique area for people to shop around while they wait for their arrangement which is pretty smart. Lots of cute little knick knacks to browse and buy! My boyfriend ordered the Someone Like You that was beautifully arranged with mainly pink florals. He made an order a few days before on their online website and got a call confirmation the day before. He mentioned he'd be there in the morning to pick it up. When we got in, we had to go through this cute boutique store (peep at pic) to the back for our flower order. The workers were actually confused and our order wasn't ready. Which was fine since my boyfriend and I haven't had breakfast yet. We came back after breakfast, about 30 mins later, and our order was ready! The arrangement was beautiful (peep at pic)! Loved it! My aunt also loved it too! I felt it was a tad pricey but the amount of flowers and plants in it was worth it. Aside from the confusion on when the order was getting picked up, everything went smoothly! They also do deliveries around the area (not sure from where to where, though). I called multiple times and was met with excuse after excuse about why the flowers still weren't delivered. This was supposed to be a time-sensitive gift, and the lack of communication and reliability was extremely disappointing. If they knew they couldn't meet the delivery window, they should have said so upfront--not leave me waiting all day. Definitely won't be ordering from them again. read more

**Updated Review** So as you can see the shop advised me to give them a call, when I did, I was given 2 options. 1) Pick up and replace or 2) 10% off orginal arrangement. Now, let me tell you what's wrong with these options, with the first, the company wants me to ask the person I gifted flowers to bring the flowers back to their job so they can be picked up. I find me having to ask that EMBARRASING and I find a company asking me to ask for a gift back distasteful. They screwed it up and I have to do the leg work to correct it? Pass! Second, 10% off... Arrangement was $75, by the time everything was said and done it was $96. What the heck am I going to do with $7.50? Pass! I contacted them and no one has even responded. Worst customer service and worst floral designer ever encountered so no choice but to post here. I honestly was and am still appalled at the flowers that were delivered for my best friend's birthday. I ordered the Citrus Smile arrangement specifically for the pretty colors and leaf fillers but instead, I received an arrangement that was absolutely not what was ordered! The floral colors were different and cheap fern leaves were used! Where in the picture shown on the website do you see fern leaves? How do pink and purple depict 'Citrus'?! Had I wanted to order purple flowers, I would not have selected the Citrus Smile arrangement. Look in the pictures and even the entire foam is visible to the naked eye! Horrendous job! I specifically selected and ordered and paid for that arrangement to be delivered as is but a different arrangement was delivered instead. I was so embarrassed by my birthday gift to her, since it was not pretty at all like the actual image and very disappointing. The differences between the two arrangements are very obvious from what is shown on your website versus what was really delivered. I expect a full refund, no ifs and buts since this is clearly a true embarrassment! I have very clear pictures but you should have it too since the person who delivered the ugly embarrassing arrangement took pictures as well. read more

I do not recommend this service--completely unreliable. I ordered two standing sprays for delivery to a funeral home, providing the correct address and phone number in case of any issues. Despite that, the flowers were delivered to the wrong address, and no one bothered to call. Reaching them was nearly impossible, and after more than 20 phone calls, the flowers finally arrived--at the very end of the service, just as people were leaving for the cemetery. In short: you pay, but receive no service. Stay away. read more

Imagine waiting to walk into church behind your husband's casket and being told the altar flowers haven't arrived yet. That actually happened. On March 1, I ordered two altar sprays to be delivered to the church on March 6, precisely at 9 a.m., for the 10 a.m. funeral mass. The young lady on the phone was very precise and said the flowers would certainly be there at 9 a.m. Satisfied that my order was taken care of, I didn't give it another thought until . . . . March 6, when we were lined up to follow the casket into the church at 10 a.m. The coordinator double-checked with me that I had indeed ordered flowers. I said "Yes, why?" She said the altar was bare. No flowers. She immediately called Flowers by Coley and didn't get off the phone with them until their van arrived with the sprays. They immediately unloaded the two sprays and hurried into the church and put them at the altar. The priest then led us into the church. We were at least 10-15 minutes late entering because of the flower delay which then affected the second hymn that was to be sung near the end of mass. The singer had to leave at precisely 10:45 a.m., which we knew but it would not have been a problem if we hadn't been delayed. The "Ave Maria" was not sung, and it was very special to us. The occasion was already somber, but that made it very sad and later angered me. I went to the flower shop the next day and was told the owners would get back to me that afternoon or the next day. It is now March 25, and I haven't received a call or apology from them. When I first complained, the ?manager? told me there could be no refund since "you used the flowers." Huh?? That still doesn't make sense and no one has called to explain that. What were we supposed to do? Reject the delivery with a casket waiting to enter the church?? I now am disputing the charge on my credit card and letting you know not to depend on Flowers by Coley for your very special and sentimental occasion. They failed us. read more

So disappointed I ordered flowers from Flowers by Coley through Bloomnation Marketplace for my daughters birthday. Who is also sick and couldn't celebrate. I ordered an arrangement called Citrus smile. Beautiful orange toned roses with an abundance of greenery and complimentary flowers. I also paid additional to have the deluxe version of what was pictured. So bigger and more blooms. Instead what was delivered was a sorry pathetic version with red roses. No lush greenery. I could have gotten better at the grocery store kind of pathetic. And yes there is a substitution policy. The policy states it should still maintain theme and color. With equal or greater quality flowers. I can't believe I spent almost $150 for this. I called ahead of delivery to give some additional instructions to help the driver with delivery. All I have to say was the person was rude and she could have told me then they do not have the flowers as pictured and asked if I wanted to hold until they got them or do something else. Easy fix. But no. Now I am an upset customer who is frankly embarrass to have sent such a poor quality arrangements and I know my daughter hates red roses and I would never send them to her. Went to the store in person to buy an arrangement for my mother in law's birthday. They didn't have any pre made but I spoke with a floral designer (Asian man, I didn't get his name) and he asked me what flowers she liked (pink lillies). And he asked what color scheme, purples and pinks? I said that sounds good, told him the price range ($100-$125) and he said give me 15 min. I waited in the store, and he came out with the most beautiful arrangement I have seen. It was absolutely gorgeous. I'm never buying flowers from anywhere else!
