I don't usually leave reviews. Normally the Tide here is a 4-5 star experience but not tonight. I've been coming to this tide for about 4 years now with my coworkers, fairly consistently. Never before has there been an automatic gratuity. This wouldn't have been a problem if it had been expressed to us when we were seated as most places do. The server (Angela) did not once come to refill the party's waters or sodas. We sat there unattended to until we flagged her down to get the bill. One of the people in my party ordered the spaghetti with no mushrooms. It arrived cold, they reheated it, and it came back... with mushrooms. I normally have 3+ drinks when we come here but since she left us sitting for so long I only had 2. Angela your automatic tip would have been bigger had you actually checked on your table. read more

Came screeching in at like 1751. We were seated quickly and greeted by server Rebecca D who quickly entered our food and drink orders. We were trying to make it before happy hour ended at 1800. Success! Rebecca D straight slayed! Our food and drinks came out quickly, all correct and tasting delish! It was a busy Saturday night with the Wolfpack vs Boise state game on several tvs. Rowdy fans filling every other booth/table. We were invited to meet our daughter/ son in law and grandson here for lunch and to watch football. We weren't in a hurry so the lag in service at first wasn't an inconvenience. We ordered drinks and food. I ordered coffee to drink at first. For food I ordered the Blue Cheese burger and sweet potato fries. I wasn't that hungry so I picked at the fries and ended up boxing up the burger. The coffee was not great. It was weak and warm but I didn't want alcohol at that time. I really enjoyed the fries. I asked for some hot coffee from the server who brought our food. When she brought it back it was cold. When our waitress Cathy returned I told her my coffee was cold. She brewed a new pot and that was much better than the previous 2 cups! She was fantastic! She checked in with us often but not annoyingly. Our family left but my wife and I decided to stay and watch the end of football. It was then that I ordered the Bloody Mary. Cathy said it was made in house and had lots of things in it. I was used to the Bloody Marys with lots of items in it. When it arrived it was smaller and more plain than I was expecting. It was tasty though but plain. It had a lime and lemon as garnish- that was all. A few minutes later Cathy showed up with a string bean, and 2 olives. She said "it looked kind of plain so I brought you some things ". That made it so much more fun and tasty. She is an example of a waitress who takes care of her customers without being asked and complained too. It's positive experiences like that which keep me going back to certain places. I like the familiar and routine and also supporting people who give great service! Oh, and my team win in overtime so that helped as well! I'm going to eat the burger tomorrow night for dinner . :). read more

Well, this is embarrassing for the establishment. I tried again with exactly the same result. My daughter and I walked in mid day and were seated. Then, after 15 minutes, we walked out without so much as a cup of water or any acknowledgment by a server. What's worse, they seated another couple at a table close to us after us, and a server immediately brought water and completely ignored us. I can't understand how this company is expanding and definitely will not try the new SS location closer to home. Disgraceful. read more

I have been coming to this place since it was Sparky's. There is lots of room in this large restaurant but it can still get noisy. They do have plenty of screens for watching sports. They play the volume on an NFL game to make the proper atmosphere for watching Sunday games. The menu is extensive and everyone can find something to eat. The food has a good flavor. The food is consistent with the other locations which is nice. The prices are reasonable. Service is typically good at this location. read more

Today we went to Flowing Tide on Prater with our daughter, son in law, and grandson. We wanted to watch the TB buccaneers game and have lunch. We sat for a bit without any service we don't really know why but when our server Cathy arrived she was friendly and took our orders right away. 3 of us got the wings and hubby got the bacon blue cheese burger with sweet potato fries. There were 2 option for the wings...6 with fries or 10 without. I ordered the 6 with fries with the wicked sauce ( Buffalo) You can also split the flavors, which is what the others did-Tide (honey and bourbon) and wicked/nitro and Tide Someone came by and asked which game we wanted to watch since the tv was above our table so we had front row seats for the game Yipee!!! Flowing Tide has happy hour 7 days a week. Half price drinks and some menu items. It's quite loud and it wasn't from the broadcasted game I think people were just loud talkers ‍ Our order was brought out by someone else, but Cathy came by quickly and noticed only half of us got food and ran to get the rest. She also noticed when someone else brought us our beverages they didn't add the correct garnishes for the Bloody Mary or Modelo so brought that out for us quickly as well. A friend and I came in for Happy Hour, and we had a fantastic time. Our waitress, Ms. Mitra, contributed to our wonderful experience. Mitra's timing was impeccable. We ordered several drinks to start and eventually order some food. Mitra checked on us regularly and always made sure we had another ice-cold drink in front of us before our other glass was empty. When the food arrived, it was hot, delicious, and, most importantly, made accurately. Mitra made sure we had extra napkins, as well as silverware. If there was such thing as a perfect dining experience, this was it for sure. I've been visiting this FTP for over 7 years. They are a pretty typical sports bar on most days of the week - Lively, Loud & Busy. Their food has always been top notch! Their wings - heavenly - I always get the Tide wings - it's a spicy bourbon that's just amazing. They're always good sized & very flavorful. Their salads are always fresh and flavorful. I've never had a bad appetizer. They also serve breakfast late at night/early morning. It's a great place to stop when the other breakfast establishments nearby aren't open yet. Their service is the reason for my 4* review. Their service is pretty consistently "okay". During my most recent visit, I'd ordered my wings with Blue Cheese dip; however, it arrived with Ranch. When i asked for blue cheese -My wings were almost cold by the time it showed up. Also- my friend asked for a "single size Shipwreck" (their giant two person fish bowl drink). The waitress acknowledged it was possible, but then brought her (and charged her for) the big two person drink. My guess is that it was so loud, she didn't understand what was being asked - but it was annoying to waste the money and product that didn't get consumed. I came back occasionally for their fish and chips dinner because I thought it was very good. But today it is not as good as it was. This portions were much bigger before. Now they are finger sized pieces. It seems like they're trying to copy Ramsy's fish and chips which are also finger sized. I am not full and will not return to try it again. read more

The tide has always treated me solid and is definitely my go to for late night food. They have always delivered a consistent product. Do they have the absolute best burger in town.... eh probably not. But what they do offer is a nice selection of good quality food and I feel like they got a little something for everyone. We always stop in midweek after midnight so it's always a little less hectic than the tide tends to be. Seth has been our bartender 95% of the time and he's a rockstar. He's engaging, makes sure your taken care of and seems to have a good mingling with several of the late nighters. The menu consists of several breakfast options, a healthy dose of appetizers, salads, burgers/sandwiches, a few seafood items and a couple other items that work well for bar food. I've tried a majority of the menu and haven't found anything I don't like. If I had to pick a favorite I'd shoot for the fish n chips of the mandarin chicken salad. If you're a happy hour kind of person theirs is solid. And they have two happy hours for those who might not be ready for a beverage right after work. They have a couple of pool tables in both the smoking and non-smoking portions of the establishment. There's is also a few arcade machines for the kiddos if you're stopping in midday. have eaten here twice recently and both times the burgers were tremendous. Last time we had jalapeno poppers and their basic Tide Burger. The burger was the highlight, it was surprisingly great. This Monday we went after an event and had the French onion soup, an Italian Burger and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich burger. Flowing Tide is a good laid back place for decent drinks and pretty good food! Prices are reasonable. Depending on the night the service you receive can vary. I was in on a Friday night with a friend. It was busy and loud. Knowing this I was sure to speak up when placing my order for a Shipwreck in the individual size. It's usually a fishbowl style drink for multiple people but in the past I've been able to get it in a size for 1. My friend heard me say "individual" so we were both a little surprised when the waitress returned with a fishbowl. When I questioned her about this she said "oh we don't offer it that way anymore". I wish she had told me that when I ordered... I'd have changed my order and saved myself some $$. read more

Flowing Tide recently opened in the location of a closed neighborhood eatery. The old restaurant was popular and a tough act to follow. The food at Flowing Tide is decent and the prices are good. The draw here is the employees who worked at the old restaurant. Crystal and Pam are efficient, warm, and friendly. They make us feel like family rather than just customers. They are used to serving a good sized crowd while giving every single person the attention they need. So glad they're working at the new restaurant. They're the reason we decided to give Flowing Tide a try. read more

Lunch today was quite a disappointment. The tot appetizer can out at same time as our meal. The music was very loud and the speaker above us was blown, making it cracking on top of being loud.
