I had a 3:15 appt and it's 3:37 and I'm still waiting to be seen, there's 4 stylist and only 3 have someone currently in their chair, one of them had no one for the entire time of me being here. Do NOT book with Marie L!!! Waisted my bfs and my time. My bf had an appointment at 1pm and waited patiently for his turn while I waited in the car. Over 40mins later he walks out with no haircut!!! This is frustrating because there was no communication from the stylist or anyone there to inform Marie was running behind or how much longer it would be until my bfs 1pm appt. And we arrived 15mins before appt. Time waisted in total 55mins. Awful customer service and there should have been better communication instead of the stylist waiting for the client to ask how much longer. Worst haircut of my adult life (mom haircuts as a child don't count). I won't be going back to this location. You can make a second cut to to make it shorter, but you can't add back on. It is buzzed on the sides very short. I needed business look. The transition from side to top is boxy not smooth. He took like 60 minutes for a 15 - 20 minute job. Seems like a recent graduate with a few months experience or someone who just wants to do it his way despite asking question. BTW, asking if this looks right after you just buzzed something doesn't add value to the process. I would rather have gone to supercuts. read more

Asked for a Mohawk and came out with a fade, and not a good one. I honestly don't even know what to say. "Do NOT cut off the tail, it's the most important part." First thing he does is cut off the tail. Cried the whole way home. Didn't get charged for the blunder, but it doesn't make the hair grow back. According to them it was a misunderstanding--so between the adamant instructions AND the photo, it was hard to understand through all the clarity and demonstration. The barber did take full accountability and said it was his fault, but the front desk was wishy washy. If you want something specific, don't come here unless there is a barber you know is legit. Update for 12/17/2022. We returned to a different Floyds. We went to Floyds on Melrose and had Cherie as our stylist.. She is AMAZING. What a miracle worker! She really took the time to do it right. She went to the length he wanted which was right below the eyebrow, then when she wanted to layer his hair she showed him what she was going to do first, got his approval and then cut his hair. She really took her time to follow what he was saying -- even though that meant having to change his sideburns twice. In the end, my son was SUPER happy. He got that trendy tiktok boy haircut that's all the rave and Cherie did a great job. read more

I feel bad writing this review because they're friendly at this salon, but my haircut is awful. I went in and asked for long layers with curtain bangs, I walked out looking like Lord Farquaad with some long ends. Was told to come back for any fixes, the bangs were fixed but my hair still looks like I have horrible extensions installed. Don't really want to ask them to touch my hair anymore because I'm afraid it'll just get worse and worse until I'm bald. I've never had a bad experience with Floyd's until today . I went in to get an undercut, my appointment was set 7pm I get a text at 6:00 that the stylist is running 15 mins late and to show up at 7:15 . I agree with the changes, then at 7:05 I get a phone call that they're ready for me . I do not live close to this location so it is a 30 min drive. I get in for my cut and everything looks fine to me when leaving as I could not see fine details on something behind my head. When I get back home, I have a photo taken where we can all see that this line is not straight, one side is clearly higher. I feel super bald now , and do not wish to return to this place ever! I am super uncomfortable as this is not a minor difference but a pretty major one as you can see with the photo . read more

Got haircut by Jessica, I said not to cut length off bangs and just trim little bit of ends to clean it and ends up chopping them off to my forehead line. Didn't ask what I wanted so I brought up pictures just to make sure she knows. Length was long in the pictures, but now my hair is unbelievably shortened and one side is a bit choppy compared to the other. I am not rating the shop. This shop is amazing! I have had my hair done here a couple of times. Giselle is one of the best barbers there! This is rating their "stylist" Rachel. Went in there with a picture of what I wanted. I told her I wanted a fade with 1 being the shortest. She did my so called fade. And then asked "what do you want on the top" I showed her the picture again and I asked her if it was possible. She said she would even my part and she would take some weight off my hair. Well the pictures don't lie. She messed up my hair... I would have appreciated if she told me I DON'T KNOW HOW OR THIS ISN'T MY TYPE OF HAIRCUT. Now I'm left with this shit! If I could give Floyd's in Northridge zero stars, I would. I brought my 11-year old daughter in for a 3pm appointment with Jessica on a Friday 1/24. When we arrived early at 2:50pm, Jessica appeared to be just starting another haircut. I figured we would need to wait, but was a little taken aback by the fact that she was so far behind. Jessica never acknowledged us to tell us she was backed up, which also seemed strange. She also appeared to be in no hurry at all; often taking breaks to socialize with her client. More than 25 minutes after our appointment had passed, I told the front desk worker that I had to leave for 10 minutes to drop my other daughter at practice and confirmed that my child was up next, as another family had now entered the shop and I could tell they were waiting for Jessica, too. The front desk worker assured me we were next, as our appointment was at 3pm and the other family was at 3:30pm. A little after I left, I got a call from the front desk worker asking me if I would be ok having my child see another barber. When I asked why, she replied that Jessica decided to take the other family (the ones with a later appointment than us!) ahead of my child. She just left my 11 year old to sit there and wait, when she had already been waiting an hour at this point. I couldn't believe it. I told the front desk worker I was coming back and I wanted to speak with a manager when I arrived. I rushed down to the shop and once there, Jessica was cutting the other client's hair and didn't acknowledge my child or me. It was the rudest and most bizarre behavior. Two other barbers came to me and apologized and said they didn't understand why Jessica did what she did and repeated what I knew all along- that the other family essentially cut in front of my child and she was just left to wait MORE THAN AN HOUR at this point. Not once did Jessica look up from her cut and apologize to us. All she said was "I guess I shouldn't have taken a walk-in before you." Um yeah, you can say that again. She also should have honored her appointment schedule and not treated a child so poorly. The fact that the manager couldn't make time to talk to me is unacceptable and we will NEVER be back. I would encourage anyone considering this shop to find another one. We use Jerry Barber Studio in Northridge for my son and husband's cuts and he has never been late, rude or unprofessional. Recently came in for a haircut and Kyrstie helped me out. She was absolutely fantastic. Incredibly talented. She took the time to figure out the style I wanted and how it relates to my head shape. She guided me toward a cut that fit best with my needs, and what I had to work with. She was excellent. It's honestly the best cut I've ever had. I highly recommend her. I'm a notorious cheapskate when it comes to hair anything...cuts, gels, products, etc... However after several mediocre haircuts elsewhere, my wife had me pony up the extra cash for a cut here. Floyd's isn't the cheapest in town but also not the most expensive either. There is a noticeable difference in cut quality and also they do a great job on beards and trimming them up to look sharp as opposed to the dude who looks like he just got back from a two year trip from the Himalayas. There are a lot of Floyd's in town but as I've mentioned in other reviews, this is my favorite. Tons of parking, great attitudes and great cuts. Just leaving now and I'm very happy with this morning's cut. Enough so that I'm willing to keep making the 25 minute drive to get here. I guess once you find a place that gets it right every time you don't feel like changing. Anyways, if attention to detail is your thing, definitely worth the extra 10-15 bucks you might spend here as opposed to going to a cheaper place. read more

She was extremely rough with my nephew, not paying attention to what I was asking for, I don't think it's okay for a stylist to look the way she did.
