Overall really happy with my haircut! I got my dead ends cut by Angela, and she did such a good job. I would come back to her!

We've gone to the Brodie lane location for about 9-10 times. It's really easy to book and the staff is much friendlier than Birds. Unfortunately, there's only a few that really care about their job. Don't just pick "no preference." Lucy is amazing! She's an artist and should be in a swanky salon. The guys don't listen to a word you say. They just nod like they are listening and just do the same haircut they do all day. My kids have had some really short haircuts even when we have communicated that they want to grow the top. We aren't going there anymore. It's too expensive to be treated like we are at Super Cuts. read more

I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but Steven absolutely earned this one. From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, professional, and easy to talk to. I mentioned I have a wedding coming up this week, and he really took his time to make sure everything was perfect. The attention to detail, especially on the skin fade, exceeded my expectations. Jay C is a TERRIBLE barber. At the start, I asked for a Mid Taper Fade and apparently he doesn't know the difference between a taper fade and a skin fade because he kept asking if I wanted a skin fade. We got through the haircut, and Frankly, it looked TERRIBLE. FIRE THIS GUY NOW. He was not very friendly either. He is not a good barber. Fire this man he needs his barbers license revoked immediately. I also got a shampoo, and he didn't even care to put a hot towel over my face, and because of that, he got shampoo in my eyes. Asked for a line up just trim side burns off the ear a little and clean up the back baby hairs. Explicitly said I'm trying to keep my hair long. In the end I had inches taken off from the sides and the top is long so it looks horrible and no style will correct it. read more

He did such an amazing job cutting my mane of unruly long thick frizzy 30% grey hair, and transforming it into a light, curly, easy to maintain STYLE - he was fun to chat with and took his time to make sure the cut looked just right...and it DOES! Cool place, but new barbers lack expertise. Unfortunately- i will not be back. Sucks, i was under the impression that they would be good at shaping beards, I asked for a clean up and to square the beard. It was by far the worst haircut i have ever had! The cuts and scrapes were unbearable and I literally had to put a band aid on a deep cut even after telling my hair artist to take it slow!! Thats the worst fade you can witness in the picture and i did not even want it this short! On a regular day i would love a hot towel but imagine he placed a hot towel on the cuts and pressed on it!! I went in to get my haircut for the first time in 5-6 years. I am someone who HATES trusting someone with my hair. BUT since I have surgery I needed short hair for my recovery to make life easier. I trusted this place and I walked out crying, had to shave my head because she chopped all my hair uneven and left it as the opposite of how I asked. even showing multiple photos of the same haircut from every angle possible, they still somehow messed it up. I would not trust anyone here with your hair. The front desk girl doesn't even know how to book an appointment, made me tip and pay while I was crying. Not one person cared, and made me feel like I was the problem and that I asked for too much. HOW????????? I asked for a Demi lovato pixie when I had shoulder length hair.... as a barbershop. you should be able to do men's haircuts regardless of someone having boobs or not. read more

we booked me and my brother for haircuts here. it was specified that I would have the hair styllist, and my brother have the barber. as we had different hair lengths. they accidentally swapped us around, I had no idea as they didn't tell me the hairdresser said hey we should swap because she was more qualified to cut my hair. I didn't hear this and he was just saying I got this it's fine. It Seems that it was almost ego that drew him to do it. Obviously long curly men's hair is hard to do. He never should have done what he did as he obviously wasn't qualified. Needless to say it's the worst haircut I have ever received. Colleen H. is one of the most knowledgeable hair stylists I have ever come across. Super informative and helpful.

I called at 4:30pm and made a 6:00pm appointment, with a manager supposedly to be cutting my hair. Upon arrival, I was seated with a young man with curly purple hair (Stanley?). I asked if he was the manager, to which he laughed and said 'no.' He said that he had just recently started working there. As he was cutting my hair, I noticed that one side seemed shorter than the other, and he agreed. Unfortunately for me, he kept cutting on the shorter side. Upon completing the cut, he handed me a mirror and the hair cut looked okay with the way he had combed it. At the cashier's stand, I mentioned that I had was told I would be seen by a manager, and was told that the manager had to cut someone else's hair. I paid (+ tipped) and then went to the restroom. I found a very shortly cut spot on the side that he had continued to trim! I went back to the cashier and complained, and was seated with Shania, who made my haircut symmetrical, but shorter than I had wanted. Thanks to her save, I won't have to wear a hat for New Years... Next time, I will not be so hasty to get my hair trimmed and wait a few more days until my usual barber is available. read more

I have to admit, I've been guilty for years of running to the mall at the last second and getting my haircut at whatever place could fit me in, and never really being satisfied with my haircut or experience. Today, in my usual fashion, I jumped on yelp and found the nearest open barber shop, hoping to get a last minute haircut before somebody closes. I ran across Floyd's barbershop and I booked online and it was really easy I showed up my barber was waiting there for me. His name was Adam. Adam gave me the best experience I have to say I've ever had in a barbershop. We talked about hot rods. He made recommendations about how to get around some weird ways my hair grows, and he talked lovingly about his coworkers and talked about his admiration for his boss,. He just made the whole experience really pleasant. at the end of the haircut, he pulled out a straight razor and gave me a beautiful, clean, shave, and a hot towel and I felt like a king. Only came here because my normal barber, who is an absolute craftsman, was booked out. This woman who cut my hair here took all of 11 minutes to do the job, start to finish. I wish I were exaggerating. Some of the sloppiest, shoddiest work I have ever received. Poor blend on the fade. Uneven and inconsistent length in the scissor work. I get a fade on the side and leave length on top, and instead of clipping the hair up and out of the way for the fade, or even trying to move it, she took the clippers STRAIGHT UP INTO LONGER HAIR ON TOP. I had to literally stop her and tell her hey I said I wanted to leave the length on top. Only reason I left a tip was because I've worked service industry before, and she was at least nice, but I mean, just take a look at the photo. I will literally give my roommate some trimmers and have him take a stab at it before I ever come back here again- and he has Parkinson's. read more

I normally come here, and the customer service has always been hit or miss. But today, I had walked in, just 1 customer was being helped and was about to leave. I asked the front desk if I could have a haircut, and she just told me they were booked for the rest of the night. And no one was in the store. No one was having a haircut, she kept on looking away. So it was obvious she did not want to assist me. Loved this store early on the year, but it seems ever since they have been losing employees. The customer service has been the worst. Don't recommend this location. But hey, you might be lucky and have one good interaction. read more

Previously when I've moved to a new city, it takes me a few tries to find a stylist who can do well with my naturally fine / thin hair. Thankfully, this time I lucked out and found a great stylist on my first try! Just got back from my second haircut with Linae and can verify she is consistent in giving awesome hair cuts. The guy who cut my hair here today had less hair and more hair than most folks. That may seem contradictory, but it's true, and here's why I found it interesting: he's descended from a barber, borne out by the handlebar (Rollie Fingers' style) mustache he was rocking, and other than that and a goatee, bald as a ping pong ball. We can debate the merits of going to a barber or stylist without hair, but on this occasion I was in a pinch and this cut did me just fine. It's a very similar concept to Birds in terms of aesthetic: huge walls adorned in rock n' roll visual adages, but that's pretty much where the similarities end between the two. If Birds Barbershop tends toward being a salon, Floyd's is a little more barbershop in the classic sense, all the way down to the hot towels they wrap your face in at the end. Of course they're not without their modern touches (see the electric pulsating massage machine they break out at the end), and it's best not to save your in person stories for this part of the cut, lest you end up sounding like someone fond of talking on hayrides. End result? Decent cut in a jiffy in a convenient spot. Was definitely worth a shot. read more
