We're at Volvo of Cheyenne. We bought gel batteries in August of last year because this place recommended them because we have an APU and inverter. Volvo purchased them from Floyd's. Now the batteries need replaced and were told Floyd's may not honor the warranty because of the APU and inverter. I'm pretty sure after reading the reviews that they won't. So, 1 star. IF they surprise me I'll change it but I'm fairly sure this will stand. I'm pretty much of the opinion to NEVER get ANY work done in CHEYENNE at all! Even this darn Volvo! We get work done here...it fails and they charge us to repair their screwups!! After a bit of hassle...our batteries were replaced according to warranty. read more

So I fueled my Freightliner in Laramie, WY late in the afternoon last July... and as soon as I pulled back onto I-80 (east), my truck derated to 55mph. I knew there was a Floyd's Truck Center in Cheyenne, so I called their service department and I talked to Andy. Andy told me they'd get my truck diagnosed as soon as they could... but that it would probably be the following afternoon, as they had a few trucks ahead of me. I arrived at Floyd's a couple hours before closing time and Andy got my truck checked in. I was able to sleep in my truck that night (so glad I didn't have to spend money on a hotel). The next morning at 7:00am Floyd's began diagnosing my truck (sooner than I expected!) I walked across the road to the drivers lounge and did a load of laundry and started watching the movie Castaway. Before the movie ended I got a call from the service desk informing me that my Freightliner was ready to roll. Floyd's had my truck diagnosed and road-ready within 3 hours!! Unbelievable! And the price was VERY reasonable. Thank you Andy and crew! read more

While traveling on I-80, we needed a knowledgeable mechanic on a Saturday. Since we previously had a very good experience with Floyd's Truck Center in Belgrade, MT, we stopped at Floyd's Truck Center in Cheyenne. Frank, the Service Writer, was very helpful. The mechanic was knowledgeable and professional. Sorry my husband didn't get his name. They got us back on the road quickly. We truly appreciate their help! And highly recommend! read more

We had a radiator line leak in our motorhome. Stopped in and Floyd's handled it for us. They have a driver's lounge across the street that was super clean and offered food, couches, bathrooms, cable tv and laundry. Super nice, not super fast, but they got the work done for a reasonable price. Highly recommend. read more

Google reviews has many complaints just like this one I'm posting here......if not worse. The 1 star is for the smiles they give as they are very customer friendly. Make sure you check that they put all your parts back the day you leave or they will tell you they fell off. Only one fuel tank gets fuel now after a transmission was replaced and they say that they aren't going to assist me with fixing their mistake. Was told that valve's fall off all of the time and they aren't going to pay for anything. If you can make it to another place do so because after they get your money, they stop smiling and you'll realize that you don't matter very quickly. I'm paying this everywhere so you truckers know to be aware. My business is hurting because of this error. Doing long runs is impossible with only one tank working. read more

Scheduled my work truck to get an alignment, schedule for 7 AM I was there on time and was told my truck would be the fourth truck done that day. Couldn't even make a phone call let me know that their schedule had changed. Don't know what kind of work they do because they couldn't even keep the appointment. Thanks Floyd read more

I don't know where to begin. I drive a truck for a living. My truck has had an idoling issue. I brought the truck in to Floyds truck center in Cheyenne WY on Saturday the 27th. Was told to come in monday morning, I did. I discribed the issue and the gal that took my info seemed to not be able to grasp what I was telling her, we powered throught it. By 0900 I was sitting in their drivers lounge, I sat all day and have the night. About 10:30 pm, I went to my truck which had been sitting outside most of this time, un-touched. Now mind you, before I continue, there is a plaqu on the counter that clearly states that estimates are done inside a 2 hour time period. Tuesday morn at around 0800ish I proceed on into the service desk, thinking that the work was completed (Batteries & belt) only to find out that nothing was done. So why did I sit all this time? This gal that took my info yestetday told me that an estimate had bern sent in but that they have not heard back from my company. I call my company to ask what the hold up was? Apparently they had not recieved the estimate and inquired of the cost, as I passed this question on to this girl, she started typing frantically, not answering my question so I told the gentalman on the other end of the phone that 'she is looking it up. Minutes pass and still no reply, so finally the gent at my company said to go ahead with the work, I pass on this info and thus girl sbspped back asking who Authorised this...knowing that I was talking to the guy in charge of such things. I iffered my phone to her so she could talk to him directly, with a mesn tone in her voice, told me NO! So while the phone was on speaker, I stood aside and passed a Q & A session. I am a stickeler for good and honest cutomer service and this situation boils my blood thus, this report. I have visited 5 Freightliner locations this past year for various reasons and Floyds in Cheyenne Wyoming is the WORST OF THE BUNCH! On my 3rd week here broken down. First they replaced all fuel injectors and 2 radiator hoses, then 2 days later I'm back again because 2 injectors failed as well as the fuel injection pump AND coolant all over the side of the engine! You will NOT receive good communication here, nor will your truck be in the hands of a company that gives a damn about it. If you call for a status update, they will be as vague as possible and offer you NO hope of getting it fixed any time soon! "We have to order the parts" will be your answer. REALLY??? REALLY!!!!! If you can avoid this place and limp down the road to Denver, I'm sure that you will be treated better. The only thing pleasant about this place is their Drivers Lounge across the street, until someone brings their dog or obnoxious kids in there. Find another place if you possibly can! read more

Freightliner has an express assessment policy in order to determine the nature of your issues within 2 hours of check-in. I arrived on a Monday around noon and was brought into the shop around 6 PM only to be informed 2 hours later (after I had inquired myself) that the problem was what i had already told them it was when i arrived. They said the part would be in tomorrow and they could start the work Tuesday evening. I checked back in on Tuesday and now they say they can't start the work until Wednesday morning and the job should take around 4 hrs. I checked in this morning (Wednesday) and now they are saying they should be done with the truck by 4 or 5 PM this evening. Who runs a buisness this way? In the transportation industry the only thing you can depend on is good communications, everything else has an undeterminable outcome. This has been a horrific experience based on an inability to communicate effectively the time, resources, traffic flow, and personnel required to diagnose and treat the situation in a professional manor. I plan on taking up my issue with Floyd's with Freightliner directly and would advise anyone else with similar complaints to do so as well. read more
