Awful! Saturday evening at 8:00 pm. Sept. 23,2025 I was walking past with my girlfriend and we saw a woman laying on the ground with blood around her head. My phone was dead and I panicked running over to this golf course. The side door was wide open and some young punk was on the other side gossiping with someone. I stepped two feet in because he didn't hear me shouting to call 911. He finally saw me ( I was standing with my cane, obviously hurt." He puffed out his chest shouting and I said" I apologize for entering but you didn't hear me and there's a badly injured woman " He didn't care and shouted" get out you don't belong in here, it's disrespectful " he slammed the door shut and I shouted again" call 911" he didn't call. Fortunately a woman and her husband saw and they called. That young punk will be paid a visit from Karma and when he does, I hope he remembers how badly he treated people in need. Had a great time on an afternoon of pitch and putt - the course was in good condition and was lots of fun to play. We paid the additional reservation fee to book a tee time online and ended up waiting on a long line anyway as anyone was accommodated if they just walked up. The spacing led to long waits at each hole - with typically three parties in front of us in an ongoing way throughout the course - causing it to take us over 3.5 hours. We needed to rent clubs, but they were out of putters so we had to use mini-golf putters as well. Fun course but one star off for the poor crowd management - if you have 7 mins between tee times online, that should be honored to keep play moving for everyone read more

Fun spot to enjoy mini golf/golf. Saw some groundhogs near the course as well. Never seen them in my life. They must come out during the spring. Only complaint I have is the water areas are dirty in the mini golf course. They should empty it out and put clean water. If the course and club rentals were cleaned up it would be perfect. Came here for my 1st pitch n putt experience with friends on a nice fall day...There is also mini-golf too. Hours are seasonal so make sure to check out the hours. Tee times are available during the regular season. Parking available close by. Overall, enjoyed the experience of playing 18 holes of pitch and putt...bring your own clubs (minimum of 2 - one being the putter). Would come here again. Par 3 holes...so good luck! you can clean your golf balls after too! Advice: If coming in the fall, bring bright colored golf balls - it is hard to find amongst all the leaves on the ground. So I met an amazing friend who is pretty much like a big sister to me and she's been working on being a Renaissance woman. One of her many newly acquired hobbies is golf. I used to golf in my early twenties, but with work, my ex and I breaking up, and moving into the city, golf sort of became an out of practice sport for me. In hopes of rekindling my love for golf, we went to this pitch and putt course. So...funny story, my friend said golf course so I thought we were going to an actual golf course so I dressed like I was going to a country club. When I got there, I was a bit embarrassed because I was definitely overdressed. Yes, you may laugh at me. So why did I give this place an average rating? Well, I think it really depends what you are trying to achieve here. A set up like this where the longest course is Par 4 and 85 yards, it is great for those who needs to work on their partial swings and putts. For those who want a full on golf experience, this may be a bit frustrating because you really do not need your driver, wood, or hybrid. This is coming from someone that hits 150 yards with her driver (aka a sad distance). I am very amateur at golf, but this place gave me a new perspective. My swings have always been full swings or putts. I haven't had the need to partial swing at a course because I am a short gal and usually I'd hit my driver, some type of iron, and putt a million times. I discovered the art of partial swings at this course so that was pretty good. I do think I will go here again to work on my partial swings, but some things to note. 1. dress like you are going to the gym. leggings, sneakers, whatever (it is not that serious) 2. don't need all your clubs. 9 iron, sand wedge, putter will be suffice 3. don't use your nice balls. The courses are pretty much stacked on top of each other you can easily lose your Titleist pro v1 balls. Grab a few generic balls and save the Titleist for at home putting. I did find a Titleist ball that day! 4. bring snacks! The snack variety at the stand is not good and you will get hungry. We waited a lot to play our next hole because the people in front of us were still playing. 5. bring drinks! I mean, it is golf.... 6. there is a groupon. You can cut the line if you purchase a ticket on groupon and make a reservation. 7. there is no tee time. First come, first serve. If you are looking for a legit golf course, not the place. You want an exciting version of mini golf or practice your short game, def the place. read more

Flushing Meadows Golf center is tucked away in the vastness of Queens Meadow Parks. We walked past multiple soccer fields, crowds of people barbequing and tennis courts to get to the Golf Center. The Golf Center has two parts: Pitch and Putt for the more serious golfer, and 18 holes of golf for the mini golfer. The mini golf portion has easy and harder courses which allots for 1.5- 2 hours of fun in the sun. We paid $9.5 to play through the 18 holes. If you enjoy playing, you can replay for $10. It was really nice. The mini golf course is fairly clean. There is some tiny rivers and mini ponds in the course. Unfortunately, the water in the course was not well maintained and the water is brown. This made a higher disincentive to hit your ball into the dirty water. Plus: there were chubby groundhogs, mourning doves and ducks wandering around on the course. It was a beautiful day, and a lot of fun to play mini golf! I enjoyed improving my score and playing on a new course! I would definitely recommend this place with a couple friends! read more

Thanks to my bestie Huan for popping my mini golf cherry and I have been waiting for a year...finally, it happened today! My dad drove me here and oh boy, oh boy it was such a headache finding this place. Google Maps kept making my dad go in circles haha. I was so frustrated and stopped in front of a Do Not Enter facility. I asked the guy first then he pointed out that the woman in the car was going to help me. She told me to follow her when she honked was letting me know to turn left. Wow many thanks to her help because my dad will be circling forever trying to find a way. You have to drive further down from the Tennis Courts. My friends...Huan (my bestie), Miguel, Doreen + her hubby Kwai were waiting inside the golf center. First time I was late 10 min sorry guys, usually, I am first lol We individually told the cashier that we were here for mini golf. The cashier sense that this was my very first time and he gave me a discount and charged me the Junior price hehe. He gave me a green golf club and a purple golf ball to match my Nike tank top lol I was first (purple ball) then Huan (red ball), Miguel (orange ball), Doreen (blue), and Kwai (green). Thank you, Miguel, for teaching me how to properly hold the golf club since I am a righty yo. I actually had to fish out several times my ball from the water lol. Huan did a great job tracking how many tries did it take us to hit the ball into the hole =) On the 18th hole, guess who got a hole in one not me but my boy Miguel ::applause:: Huan won the whole game ::pat, pat:: great job everyone! People should do their HW before leaving idiotic reviews when it's their own fault. You only need to bring a 9 iron or Pitching wedge and a putter. They didn't clean up any of the fall leaves which made the game harder to play. I understand it's fall time and we're outside but they could invest in a leaf blower. Also there are many areas where your ball can fall into a pond of dirty water. I don't see what makes anyone think that's a good idea. read more

I came here for pitch and putt with a few friends and we all had a great time. There are 18 holes. This was my first time going for pitch and putt, for those that don't know what that's like, it like a fusion between actual golf and mini golf. Each hole is 3 hits to par, just remember to get the score chart paper when you pay for admission/clubs (if you don't have your own driver or putter). I came here with 2 friends and the whole course of 18 holes took us approximately 2 hours, which is much longer than we anticipated (we're beginners). So prepare to spend some time here and have fun! There are two options here: mini-golf and Pitch and Putt. Pitch and putt lengths are from 40 yards to the longest about 60 or 70 yards. We decided to try pitch and putt as I had never done it before. We were told by our friends that it could get crowded here but when we came on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, it was just the perfect amount of people. There were people in front of us and behind us but none of us felt rushed. I guess it just depends. The grounds are relatively well kept, with some parts better than others. There was the occasional trash laying around but not too bad. There is an area that sells food and beer before you start and along the course, there is a man who drives around in a cart selling beers. Beers were $4 for Coors to $6 for Sam Adams and they even take credit card! I loved that beer cart, as it was awesome to be able to get a cold beer while in the middle of the course on a hot day. Prices for Pitch and Putt for 2 adults with renting clubs were $50. They take credit card and you get to keep your set of golf balls. An extra plus were the ground hogs we saw around the course! It was so cute to see them climb from their burrows and shuffle around. Pitch and putt is 18 holes and it took us about 2 hours to get through the course. There were four of us and we were moving a bit slower so it could have probably gone faster. Important note: if bringing very young children, it may be easier to do mini-golf as we were advised by the supervisor not to let young children out of the stroller due to potential fungicides on the grass. read more

Went on a recent weekday afternoon. Unfortunately, since the U.S. Open was going on, there was a lot of parking taken away and you were redirected to certain roads. We were literally a 2 minute drive to the parking lot near the Home Depot but we were redirected to come back in from the Grand Central exit, then had to go slowly around the park on Meridian road to get back to the golf course which took us another 30 minutes. When we got there, we were told it was not busy at all because of the US Open, so it was a good time to be there for us amateurs. The guy at the counter was really nice and told us to enjoy ourselves since we wouldn't be rushed. We had to rent the wedge and putter, and buy a box of 3 balls. We ended up behind a couple of older guys and had to wait a few times, but it was not bad at all. The course was ok, but there were some spots that had a lot of gravel/stones in some spots. You were also right by a chain link fence at some areas, so if you were really bad, you could have hit it through the fence. But all in all, we had a good time and even got to see the resident gopher? at the 18th hole that lives underground. They are open till 1am for night golf, but I would be wary of mosquitoes at night, since they are also right by a running stream. read more

One of the nice little hidden gems in Queens that offers novice golfers (like myself) a chance to work on their short game. The Par 3 Pitch and Put in the middle of the park is a clean and quiet course that makes for a fun afternoon for those who want to practice their wedges and irons. Price is very affordable (under $20), and the wait time is usually minimal. Night time is just as fun as the course is well-lit (aside from the 18th hole) and there is usually no wait. The golf center also has a good supply of irons, wedges, and putters even if they are a bit worn out. Just make sure you bring an extra set of golf balls as it is very easy to lose them. This one managed to lose 3 balls on a single hole! If the Par 3 is too threatening, you can definitely try your hand on the mini-golf course. First time at a pitch and putt after only having a handful of mini golf experiences under my belt. But this is a great place to progress your golf game. No one is a pro here so you're not under any pressure to speed through the rounds. The groups can be slow around each hole but you're with friends so enjoy your time! I've been to some terrible par 3 golf courses in my day. This isn't one of them. Like Flushing Meadows Park itself, this is a beautiful course. The longest hole is 80 yards, so you probably only need a 56-degree wedge and a putter. But for such a minuscule 18 holes of golf, they keep the course tight. There's no fairway to speak of, but the fringe and greens are all way better than they should be. If you're looking to improve your short game, this is an excellent course to do so. They also have a dude that rips around on a cart selling you beers while you play. They're about $5 for a 16-ounce domestic or craft beer option, and unless you're on the way to work, it's a nice way to supplement your round. And given the course is open until 1:00am during the summer, a cold beer just makes all the sense in the world. At $18, you could almost play a real par 72 course, but hey - it's under $20 and it's a lot of fun. Perfect for beginners and seasoned vets alike. read more

I will go here for a quick golf fix accessible by public transportation... Best time to go here is when there are Grey Skies or just after it rains to scare away crowds. Came here on a Sunday morning with a groups of friends for some leisure game play. We teed-off in a group of 5 people around 11AM. Went thru 18 holes in a moderate speed and took us about 3 hours to finish all. Probably much faster if you have less people in your group. There is free parking right under highway near Home Depot. Takes about 5 minutes walk to the ticketing booth. The staff there are really kind. Occasionally they have a cart driving around selling drinks/alcohol beverages to hydrant yourself. Besides few worn out mats, I really don't have any complaints. Great place to practice for beginners. Would come again. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE MINI-GOLF COURSE EXPERIENCE...... I'm mad at Groupon. How dare they lure me into getting a bargain, at this supposedly "great" golf center in Queens. People, this place is atrocious!! Hold onto your greenbacks and stay away. Stay far away, friends. After spending a weekend in Ocean City, Maryland a few years ago, and playing miniature golf in one of the many, many locations littered throughout Ocean City, I had high hopes that Flushing Meadows would do equal justice as one of the very few places available for mini-golf in Queens. But reality hit me hard and my dreams were dashed as this place is a total embarrassment. They've obviously spent a total of zero minutes at an actual mini-golf location, replete with fun, and colorful, and challenging courses. This can only explain the shambles that they've passed off as a mini-golf course. Sure, maybe, it's located in a nice area of Flushing Meadows Park, right by the tennis courts and stadiums, and perhaps you'll pass by the gigantic and beautiful Unisphere as you walk on over there, and yes, you will probably enjoy being outdoors on a beautiful spring, summer, fall evening because it's an outdoors mini-golf course. But based strictly on the course itself, this is one of the lamest activities around. It's 18-hole course is pretty one-note, and short-lived. You can get through it within 30 minutes or so, but why would you want to? It's dirty, uninteresting, crowded, and flat out, plain boring. We had stopped around the 11th hole because I not only had to go to the bathroom, but I had to escape the fear of running into the two rabidly dangerous and agile RACOONS we spotted as we were playing golf at night. Seriously, don't risk the chance of contracting rabies to play a dreary game of miniature golf at this place!! We had hamburgers and fries that were actually quite decent, but I saw a ton of gnats in the relish container, and was completely grossed out, thereafter. I wanted this experience to be a memorable one for the bf as his first time playing mini-golf, but I'm assuming it was memorable to him for all the wrong reasons. I'll have to take him to Ocean City, MD one of these days, to show him how it's really done. I'm certainly never going to come back here, or suggest this place to friends. Or, enemies. I came here on a Sunday afternoon after brunch around 3:00. The weather was perfect! My friends and I are no golf pros, but we wanted something more challenging than mini golf and we found it here. To start, we showed up with nothing- no clubs, no balls- so we had to rent everything. All in all, to rent the clubs and buy the balls (which, mind you, only come in 3 packs for $5...) it came out to $23 a person. Not too bad. There was a bit of a wait before we could get onto the course since it was definitely busy. The wait seemed like nothing with $10 pitchers available. The course doesn't allow you to bring outside drinks, but you can definitely get in on $10 pitchers, and if you're adventurous, you can carry the pitchers around with you on the course. After a 30 min wait, it was our turn to play. The holes were great for short game (range about 40-65 yds per hole) and some holes are in better shape than others. At some holes, the "green" looked more like a sand trap. Because it was busy, there was often stoppage while playing and you had to wait for the people in front of you to finish the hole before you could move on. The major complaint that I have here though is the service. The guy that was prepping us for the course was none too friendly. Also, there's a guy that rides around in a cart selling beer on the course and he was downright rude. I ended up not wanting to buy drinks from him at all because was so unfriendly! For someone with such a simple job on a nice day, he was an asshole. I don't like to swear but seriously, this guy sucked. Anyway, if you have a few hours to kill on a nice day, this is a place you should check out. Be wary of the rude service and prices. Bring your own clubs and balls. read more

Great place for the amateur golf player. I went here in 2002 and started with the pitch and putt. It is a great way to spend a few hours in the beautiful spring or fall NY weather. I'm strictly reviewing the mini golf here. And I'd say 3.5 stars. It's like $7 per person to play on their 18 hole mini golf course. Pretty cheap activity, and it's always fun. For the most part, the course is well maintained, except for the stagnant water they have between the holes. But, whatever. The people you get the clubs from are very "whatever" about everything. In fact, my boyfriend got pissy and frustrated and ended up tossing his club in the water. We couldn't retrieve it, and returned their clubs minus one and they didn't seem to notice. In fact, once you're done, I'm pretty sure you can just start over again and they won't give a damn. Good place to go with friends when you've got nothing else to do. read more

The pitch-and-putt looks pretty fun, but we only played the mini golf. The course is hidden in the northeast corner of the park next to the ramp from the Mets subway/LIRR stop (despite where Yelp has placed their marker in the middle of Meadow Lake). $8 per person gets you a full 18 holes on a naturalistic course complete with a soothing stream (sorry, no windmills). It isn't perfectly maintained; there were wet spots and weeds. However, given the dearth of mini golf in this town I'll take it. Honestly, the best part? $10 pitchers of beer from the concession stand with several picnic tables in the shade, making this a secret beer garden in one of the city's great parks. read more

Cute little addition to Flushing Meadows Park and to NYC in general. The mini golf course is beautiful and well maintained. The pitch and putt is a fun afternoon activity. Keep in mind it really is a pitch and putt and not a bunch of par 3s. You wont need to bring any clubs other than a pitching wedge and a putter (maybe a sand wedge too). If you're taking the subway and don't want to take your clubs you can aways rent them here. I think the prices are a little steep but it's worth checking out at least once and if it really helps you polish your short game and you think the admission is worth it then good for you. The mini golf place is worth coming back again with friends for sure though. The best part is they have a few picnic tables and sell beer for very low prices as well as some small bites. Mini golf in Queens accessible by 7 train. What more to say. It's a small cute and best of all, cheap, miniature golf course that you can get to from the 7 train (or via driving of course). A perfect spot if you want a silly date that is more than drinking at a bar. The holes aren't the fancy mountains you get down south in tourist spots. It's not a super manicured pirate mountain, or knights castle. Just a bit of astroturf surrounding a small series of ponds and a stream. Despite being run by the Park's Department, it feels like an old mom and pop operation. The people in the booth are chit chatting with their regulars, and it can feel like they are a little bothered to help customers, but, in my actual interaction with them, they were perfectly friendly. Not much more to say. Come here to kill about 45 minutes for up to 4 people in a group for cheap. Try to avoid it when it's crowded though, so you need not wait your turn at each hole. read more

For living in NYC and understanding how difficult it is to play real golf, I can 100% appreciate this place for everything that it is. It's a pitch and putt so the holes a short (no greater than 80yds) which is great for everyone: those that play golf to work on your short game, those that don't play much for practice and a great place for the person who had never played to learn without judgement. Prices are reasonable, they have food (nothing to write home about but your standard golf course quick eats), beers/drinks (also a guy that drives around in a cart selling drinks. Not the best mini-golf course I've been to, but it is by far the most accessible one I've been to via public transportation. At $8 per adult, it's fairly reasonable, too. The course is very no-frills. You won't find your whimsical windmills and gnomes here, just the green and some water. Actually, I'm not sure if I'd come here in the middle of the summer, since the water is pretty stagnant and seems perfect for mosquitoes. But late spring's still all right. The green wasn't too well-maintained the afternoon we visited--lots of leaves and stuff, though it was a windy day. There weren't too many other players, so we finished the 18 holes pretty quickly. read more

I was very surprised by this course when I first went. I was not expecting to find such a nicely maintained course in the middle of Flushing. The greens are fairly well maintained, however there are a high number of unrepaired balls marks, which can be a pain (I make sure to bring my divot tool every time I go). The vast majority of the holes are 50 yards or less. There are only 2 "long" holes, both coming in at about 80 yards. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just don't expect to get much use out of your PW or 9 (I only bring a SW and my putter). This course provides a nice location for you to work on your short game. I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that a pitch & putt course would have a beer cart. Though, this may be a ploy to keep golfers occupied during long wait times during the summer. A note on the starter: he can be irritable. I'm not sure if there is more than one starter, but it's been the same guy every time time I've gone. As soon as you pay, make sure you go straight to see him, otherwise you'll hear about it. I'd say the best advice on dealing with him is to do exactly what he says, don't question him, and wait to tee off. All in all, I really enjoy playing here and happily recommend it to others. read more

Maybe. Flushing Meadows is easy to get to, rather cheap (if you don't rent clubs) and open late. But the service is lousy (especially the beverage cart guy), the greens are often not green (they look like sand traps from afar), and the club rental and balls are pricey. Sure, cheap pitchers at the "clubhouse" are great, but the overall experience is just A-OK. Tip: Bring your own clubs and balls! Renting is NOT cheap. $2 per club and $5 for 3 balls.
