[Warning: People beware] I have gone to FM Auto Services ("Kevin") to repair some things on my van several times and each time I go he will tell me on the phone I have to pay a low price but each time I leave I have to 300-400 dollars just to get my van repaired and my van will still not be fixed correctly and for a matter of fact every time I come home a new problem shows up after. Yesterday I made an appointment to fix my starter and he told me on the phone it would cost 150 and when I went to his repair shop he said he made a mistake and changed the price to 380 dollars, speaking of a month ago I had him put a new calibrator on my car and I found out yesterday he didn't put that on my car and a month before he put a new alternator when I got home I found out my antifreeze is leaking out and now he wants to charge me the leaking of the antifreeze which he did himself. {I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS MAN.} Someone even recommended me this man to me and said he was honest and in the end, he wasn't honest. read more

Kevin is the most honest auto technician I have ever met. Seriously, he explains everything in detail, let's me know what exactly my car needs, and doesn't pressure me to think I have to get it fixed or I'll end up with a blown engine in the middle of the road. Wow what can I say! I lurve this shop and shop owner Kevin. My 2001 Pony was in dire need of help (needed to replace the passenger side manifold-driver side was replaced in 4/2011) and Kevin flew in with his super heros' cap and saved the day. He kept my car for the day and returned it with smiles. My baby is back to purring and once again built for speed. Man I love my silver baby.... Kevin is an extremely honest business owner - I originally heard of him through my parents as they had some work on their 4Runner to pass that RU thingy... I love this place. Kevin, the ASI Master certified mechanic and the owner, is very knowledgeable about any cars. His price is unbeatable. If other mechanic quotes you less, you'll pay for it later by having to fix again. He's fixed the oil leak on my 2000 Audi and it was perfect . We have an Excursion here in CA with high Mileage and had to replace all the spark plugs and the coil. I called Kevin to get a quote and he gave me a reasonable price, not more than 350 to fix it and he even told me the brand name of the spark plugs, Motorcraft platinum. I called around in California to fix it, lowest price I got was 550 and they weren't even sure they can fix it. I asked if they can use Motorcraft and most said it's an expansive brand and had to charge more. We finally got it fixed for 680 plus tax. I miss Kevin!! I've heard he moved his shop to a bigger place by Albemarle Road. FM Auto Service Rocks!! read more

We thought that Kevin was qualified to fix our car. However he kept putting us off and when we finally got a hold of him, he gave us a ridiculous price. When we told him that the price was too high, he pushed our car out of the shop. He left the doors unlocked and our battery was stolen from someone passing by the car. When we told him what had happened he denied everything. On top of that he was RUDE! RUN RUN RUN DON'T LET FM AUTO work on your car. read more

I had some issues with suspension and uneven wear on tires on my 2009 Infiniti G37x Coupe. I am not a professional mechanic but I do the basic maintenance like oil changes, tune up and other simple repairs on my own. I did some researches on my issues and I've found they were most likely to be pretty normal that requires minor adjustment or repairs. But I decided that I'd need a second opinion from a professional. Kevin took hard look at the car and brought the same conclusions as mine although he could have suggested unnecessary replacements and repair services that can cost arms and legs. I would definitely go back to him any car issues and especially, if you are shopping around for your first local mechanic. read more

My mother had her car "repaired" by this gentleman and he did not repair this car at all. She took her car in because she was having trouble with her vehicle. The shop checked her car out and made "repairs" to it. The next day she took her car in to the dealer and the dealer said that he made unnecessary repairs to the car because it was shot. The work that he did on the car was useless because the car could not be saved that the mechanic at this shop knew that before he "made the repairs." The car was running on 2 cylinders and the folks at the Chevy dealership said that he knew that when he made the bogus repairs. The mechanics at the dealership informed us that this gentleman had ripped us off and that the additional oil change that he talked us into, I paid for the repairs by-the-way, was as unnecessary as the repairs that I pad for. This guy is NOT an honest person at all. I will be reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I have used this mechanic for about 5 years. He does my regular maintenance at a reasonable cost, on my Mazda pickup, Toyota Camry, and Honda CRV. He does not try to upsell other services you do not need. He is a certified, trained mechanic who diagnoses problems accurately and fixes them using proper procedures. He has fixed several small problems and was upfront and direct about the cost and very reasonable. read more
