Update...I got on the highway and the air filter the so called technician removed to show me showed me was loose and rattling around, and it looks like they broke the clips on the housing. Don't come here, these fools are clearly not able to handle even removing a simple engine filter, how can you trust them to change oil. I came here after my wife had a couple bad experiences. I can say my experience was just fine, and they did offer cold water as it was hot, which was appreciated! However if you're not familiar with oil changes or basic car maintenance, you might get upsold unnecessarily. Also, beware the " we are out of the cheaper oil gimmick. I find it hard to believe an oil change place could be out of regular conventional oil in the middle of the day, which is an experience I have heard others have as well. $65 for a conventional oil change is what I paid, which is definitely on the high side, considering the cost of the oil and filter is probably about $30. Also, they will deny any coupons you have, so don't try and look them up while you are waiting, or give your email online to request a coupon on the website (they will send it 2 hours later, after it's lost it's use). read more

You are definitely paying for the convenience of a speedy oil change. They decorated for Halloween, which I thought was awesome and fun, looking at all the decor while waiting for the oil change. Really needed an oil change and I pulled in to this Take 5 to get it done quickly. As soon as I pulled in a gentleman working there immediately came up to give me a water, get my mileage, and let me know they'd see me as soon as the person in front of me was done. I had my dogs in the car and they said hi to the pups. Payment was straightforward with the different options and it was really nice that they weren't trying to upsell me on other services. In the car next to me there was a you no child and I saw another worker bring out a box of fruit snacks so the child could grab one. I was in and out very fast. I didn't have a long wait before the gentleman instructed me to pull inside the bay. I visited the Take 5 located on the corner of Monroe and Wendover Road. I got there early before 8:00 AM. I've used Take 5 to do my last 3 oil changes. The weather was very cold and rainy so I took advantage of a quick and easy option to have my oil changed without having to get out of my car. The customer service was very good and I was given a discount because I am a rideshare driver. I wasn't offered a water bottle like they do at the other locations. If you want your employees to charge people for things they don't need, at least train them to be better at it. When I first pulled in, before he even scanned my car into the system, the white boy named Casmir goes "I have a special deal for you" after seeing how many miles were on my car. After scanning, he goes oh do you want the same thing as last time? Notice how the special deal went away once he saw that I already get high mileage oil. Then he tries to tell me I need a coolant exchange before I tell him I already had that done. He checks the system and goes oh yeah, you right. Well do you want it done again? I can knock off $40 from the $140 for you. Like no why would I do it again so soon when I don't need it. Then he proceeds to tell me I need new windshield wipers BEFORE even touching my wipers to feel them. Mind you, I just purchased expensive wipers not even 2 months ago. He then stated that mine are dry and cracked which they are not lol As I was pulling out, he points to my car and goes "That lady..." I just kept going and didn't stop my car to hear his lame self. First time and was greeted with a bottle of water and asked what service I needed. Explained while another worker was airing up my tires. Had to wait in line but expected at this type of shop. Services ranged from 10-12 min a car. Yes, it's "pricey" as others may have reviewed. However, it's market price. All oil changes are expensive these days for instant stop shops. They were checking codes for the person in front of me that must have had a dashboard light on. They are not the fastest so if you're in a hurry to when there's no line. read more

So first time here, and hey I'm a fan! Overall what you most want to know is...the guys are friendly and knowledgeable. I was in and out in under 15 minutes! For an oil change, yup you read that right. Granted there was no line, and they can do two cars at one time as there are two lanes. The mechanic was honest too, which I can appreciate. He asked if we wanted to change the air filter and we said yes, he then checked it and showed it to us. Informing us we didn't need one right then so he put it back. Saved us money for something we didn't need. They also can check the air in your tires which is good to do this time of year! *FAST oil change (hence take 5 name!) *You do not have to get out of your car, in fact like you are not even allowed/supposed to. *They do military discount. An oil place has 2 jobs. Take the old oil out, put new oil in. This location managed to FAIL to do step 2. First they denied it (vehemently) then owned up to it (once I called out its on security cams) NO ONE from take 5 corporate or management has contacted me. I left multiple voicemails for corporate and the location manager refused to give me their managers info. You'd think if your company caused this level of damage, you'd at least get an "Im sorry". Nope, not Take 5. All I got was a text with an insurance claim number. Now I'm stuck dealing with their insurance company who is telling me their client (Take 5) will only pay me so much for my now TOTALED car. Way less than it's worth. I have taken my car to this store a few times. every time they try to upsell me things I don't need. Today I took my ca in because last time the young man told me I could take it back any time prior to the next suggested time printed in the window sticker for a top off. I was informed today that is not truth. the young man went so far as to tell me "just because you get the guy to fake the mileage on the sticker doesn't mean we have to honor it". He actually accused me of having an employee fake the mileage on the sticker! Told me someone did me a favor. Over priced. I liked the convenience of a quick change I was told that with my car I needed synthetic oil at 79.00 included 4qts of oil..then came the upsell.. I declined. I was shown my air filter which was dirty so that added 19.99... then I needed 2 more quarts of oil at 8.99 each. With tax's just under 100.00. ( I was offered 25%off). Most recently after having my car serviced at Take 5 on Monroe Road, I was extremely disappointed in the service. After paying $135 for an oil change, I barely made it home. Learning that I was having issues with my car, my mechanic immediately came to see what was going on with the car. He immediately noticed that none of the fluids were topped. My car was on the verge of overheating. Although, my receipt from Take 5 showed that all of the levels on the car were safe. I addressed this issue with the manager and he stated that the printouts are electronically generated onto the receipts. With that, I asked why it wasn't shared with me of the levels being low/empty/unsafe. He wasn't able to answer that, but stated that they didn't carry European coolant for my car. Surely, that was need to know information and definitely could have caused damage to my car. There were no resolutions nor accommodations made. read more

What a stand up place with stand up gentlemen working there. They are quick, respectful, courteous, and they check their work. Waited a bit longer than we normally would have but we had a 24' Sprinter, our own oil, and needed a filter. They didn't have the part to change the filter but Auto Zone delivered within 5 minutes and because we had to wait they didn't charge us a dime. They did have an air hose that scratched the top of our car slightly on a complete accidental basis, but they were apologetic and took care of our oil change. read more

Nobody comes out saying anything about what's going on, they just walk pass you! I was the only customer waiting!!!! I had to wait for more than 10 minutes(which is not take 5 at all!!) when I try to get to the available spot, the employees(yes there're more than two employees Working at there) YELLED at me without any greetings,explanations, and apologies for waiting. They're not wearing masks, or gloves. They only put on masks after I asked a question about the masking. Overall experience, you can go somewhere better than this. read more

First of all, I LOVE TAKE 5 OIL CHANGE. Not only are their changes reasonably priced, but they are so quick, check your fluids, tire pressure, wind shields, clean your windshield, check your and air filters for FREE. You can also come and get your fluids filled for free even after your oil change! Now for this particular location, I was so impressed. As SOON as I pulled in, there were a few cars in front of me, but someone came to my car IMMEDIATELY with a bottle of water, and asked me what service I was looking for. We even chit chatted a bit about a few concerns on my car and he was incredibly informative and helpful. There was one open bay when I drove up and an employee literally came running up to me and another employee jumped into position to direct me. They greet you with a smile and a water bottle. One employee takes your info as two others start under the hood. They will check your wipers and cabin air filter and change them if you approve. They are efficient in all they do. I probably had 5 employees touch my car to do something in that 10 minutes. And if they got within eye contact range, they made pleasantries. They show you the products before using them and then say it loudly for all to hear and for the person following through, to repeat back. They clean your window before you leave and they even offer a GENEROUS 25% military discount! Thanks so much! On 2/24, I came across this location in passing and decided to get my oil changed while in the area. I usually go to a Take 5 location that's located within proximity of my apartment complex, but I thought to give this location a try. I'M SO GLAD I DID. These guys deserve free lunch from the company, free gift cards, extra PTO...something! My apologies, as I do not recall the 3 guys that I interacted with, but the customer service here is superb. From start to finish the communication and all other necessary skills were spot on; even seeing how they spoke to each other added to the pleasant experience. One of the service men pointed out that I needed to have the cabin filter replaced. FYI, I've had my car since 2011 so there has been plenty of oil changes performed on my vehicle and no one took the time to actually look at the cabin filter..that thang was dus-TAY! This actually motivated me to look at the aged manual located in my glove compartment; I did not know a filter was located there.
