We stopped by yesterday to celebrate my sons', my husband's, and my own birthdays. We were a family of five, with our children ranging in age from 10 to 1. The kids were so excited to get dressed up and experience a fancy restaurant together, so unfortunately, the evening was incredibly disappointing. Our service was terrible from start to finish. Our waitress only came to check on us twice, and our drinks were barely refilled. There seemed to be plenty of servers and staff working, so we couldn't understand why our table was consistently overlooked. It genuinely felt like our table was being intentionally avoided. The servers bringing around the meat would see that our cards were green and, based on their actions, would repeatedly go around our table without stopping. We've been to Brazilian steakhouses before, and our plates were never left empty. Here, we were constantly waiting and trying to get someone's attention. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, the service was some of the worst we've ever experienced. My husband was extremely upset by the end of the meal. He is not someone who likes to complain or make a scene at a restaurant, which made it even more disappointing to see how frustrated he was. At the end of the meal, they gave us the dessert menu, but then we were ignored for another 30 minutes. At that point, we decided not to order dessert and simply wanted to leave. Our children are well behaved, and we were especially disappointed because we felt that our family wasn't treated with the level of service we deserved. We chose this restaurant hoping to make our birthday celebrations special and create a fun experience for our kids. Instead, we left feeling ignored and disappointed. There are plenty of times we sit there waiting until someone came to our table. My sister requested beef ribs and lamb meat. Beef ribs took a hike to come around and the lamb never came nor the filet mignon. They provided mash potatoes, mini cheese bread, sweet banana side dishes. Maybe that's their tactic which is filling you with side dishes and staggering the meat coming out to the table so you get full quick. For the price of $65 per person, I believe they should have the meat coming out quicker. Our server was great! No problem there. I was ignored, both for drinks and food. Maybe a bad shift, perhaps I shouldn't sit in the bar when I'm doing the experience. I stood at the host area for 5 minutes while several employees, including a manager sitting in the bar area ignored me. So I left, while the manager stared at me walking me out. We were so excited to see a Fogo de Chao coming to OKC. We have visited several other locations through the years. We had a group of 14 go on a Sunday night to celebrate a couple of birthdays. I was immediately struck by the elegant ambiance, which I found to be perfectly fitting for a fine dining establishment. Our table was ready when we arrived for our reservation. The service was very attentive for most of our meal. As time went along, we continued to see our waitress, but not as many of the gauchos serving the meat. The servers were very good at refilling tea and sodas, but our water glasses remained empty for most of the night. Because we were celebrating birthdays, we were gifted a whole branzino, carved table side, which was a nice gesture. The market table seemed a little smaller than other locations, but it seemed to have all the traditional salad and appetizer options. I enjoyed all the meats that I tried, with my favorites being the parmesan pork, bacon wrapped chicken, sausage, and filet. The birthday guests were treated to a complimentary dessert, and they both chose the lava cake. It's always a fun experience to go to a Brazilian steakhouse, and this was no exception. I'm sure we will return at some point in the future, and hopefully some of the service kinks will be worked out, and it can earn a 5 star review. read more

We went to Fogo De Chao for drinks and appetizers and left the restaurant happy campers. For drinks we started with a Cucumber Mint Smash, that I rreally liked, and a Samba Squeze Martini, which was to fruity for my tastes; Jan loved it. It's made with with Grey Goose Le Citron vodka, St. Germain, blood orange, and guava. Our first appetizers was Queijo Assado, fire roasted Brazilian Cheese with Malagueta honey. We loved it. With our first appetizer, Pao de Queijo was served. I thought it was fry bread, but they are Brazilian fried cheese ball. They were pure magic. Our second appetizer was Gordeiro Churrasco board lamb chops. The chops were delectable. Then the server brought more PaPao de Queijo and shortly thereafter, he brought our third appetizer, Brazilian Empanadas. By that time I was not hungry and regretted ordering them. I recently attended a couple of events at the new Fogo de Chao in OKC. The first was a chamber event in their private banquet room, which had a very nice setup with shareable plates and a cash bar. I can see future business meetings or community events being held there. The second event was a Wine & Wagu gathering held at their bar area. The staff was attentive, almost too much so, as they aimed to move the food and wine along while providing good service. However, it felt like the focus was more on promoting their Trilogy wine box, which was a bit disappointing. The food was nonstop, and I ended up feeling overwhelmed by the amount we were served in such a short period of time. We tried to pace ourselves, but the staff continued to push things along. Unfortunately, where we sat at the bar, there was a sour odor that dampened our enjoyment. We informed the manager before leaving. Overall, I'm not sure if we'd attend that specific event again, but we may return to sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail, just at a different seat. Nice restaurant and friendly staff! So, I'm giving it 3 stars. The smell and rush feeling of the event would give this review 2 stars, especially for paying $49/pp. read more

Visited fogo today for a New Year's Day lunch. The kinks are definitely not being worked out at this restaurant. They seem to struggle with being able to keep up with the demands of the patrons. The salad bar never stays stocked, I had to request a bowl and spoon multiple times for the soup on the bar. The servers are kind but they don't seem trained on the menu and if you want a meat cooked anything outside of medium rare they can't seem to deliver. I asked for my picahna to be cooked medium or medium well and they brought me medium rare meat out both times. I was really hoping they would iron out the kinks after being opened several months but after three visits I can confirm that the experience is not worth the price. read more

However, one of the table guests drink was forgotten and after asking another waiter to bring another, we realized that we got the end of the bottle scraps and not once did our assigned waiter recognize the error and carried on her way. The biggest issue, though, was the service from one waitress who repeatedly ignored my water requests while serving only the men at the table. It felt blatantly disrespectful and uncalled for, I don't know you from eve. Between the lackluster drinks, underwhelming food, and poor service, I left unimpressed. If I had to return and see that same server, I'll save my money and walk out. read more

Well, we had high hopes for this place, but they either had a bad day yesterday, as compared with our first time there a few months ago, or they just don't have the Addison magic... To speak to positives: David, one of the managers, is a great guy, and he was one of the highlights of the evening. Asia, our young server, struggled with opening a wine bottle and seemed to be overwhelmed with other tables, leaving us to drift quite a bit, but she's a bright spirit and seems to have a sweet heart. Their wine menu shows a half-discount on South American wines -- a tactic that somewhat is effective, but, having worked in the wine service world for a number of years in Texas, I know that those wines are *much* more affordable (cheaper) than others, so their $128 Argentinian Malbec that's now in service for $64 likely only cost them $25 or less wholesale, so the use of a "reduced" feature on pricing of them is crafty, though a bit disingenuous from an industry standpoint. However, food is why we were there, and this is where it fell apart with our second visit. The first visit in 2024 we did was pretty spot-on, though we notice the salad/non-meats part of the meal is VERY reduced compared with our first visit to FdC in 1998 in Addison, TX, on Beltline. Maybe this is a pattern overall in churrascarias, and it's disappointing, but it's not a game changer since the place is noted for meats. Last night was full of being ignored (save for David and one gauchita that was regularly at our table when she had meats,) overcooked and burned meats, hardly ever getting the yucca/potatoes/bananas/biscuits sides, and empty beverage glasses. Not only that, but the ice cream with the chocolate molten cake my daughter and wife were to share for dessert was significantly melted because it sat for too long before it was taken to our table (even beyond what one would expect being next to a newly prepared cake). I don't think we are returning. I hope things turn around for them. We have so many good memories of churrascarias in Texas (Boi na Braza, Chama Gaucha, Texas de Brazil in Ft. Worth -- NOT OKC's!), and we were excited to see one in OKC. In this instance, things are definitely better in Texas. read more

I made reservations for an early NYE dinner. First off, we had to wait 20 min for our table. At the table, we then waited 15 minutes and finally got water. When they did, the meat was so rare, (and I like med rare) it looked like it had been seared on the outside. Finally our waiter had the manager come by and the very young guy was expressionless. He did adjust our bill. We have eaten at Fogo de Chao on several occasions in Dallas, but this OKC location is sub par. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is beautiful but there are too many tables and the servers can't get around to take care of their customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is way too young and inexperienced to handle a large restaurant full of upscale diners. I've eaten at Fogo in Beverly Hills, Dallas, Miami multiple times. The service was major lacking. Super slow if they even came to the table check on you. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took 20 minutes to get a drink. The meats barely came around we would have to tell them what to bring out because they didn't bring half of it. The exterior should have a crisp crust, but you should not taste salt past that. The lamb chops were properly cooked though and tasty. Food bar is solid with a wide range of options and tastes. Fruit was fresh and enjoyable. Deserts are surprisingly good. Servers were polite and kind, but not trained to the level of this kind of establishment. It's hard to find good servers though. We went to Fogo the first week of its opening and while the food was great, I think perhaps going a little too early did unfortunately show a few of their operational flaws but we're willing to come back to give it another go since it was fairly new when we went. Just in general, I think the messaging was all around confusing. We were ushered in and immediately asked for the Best of Brazil option. She said yes, no problem. Then a slew of waiters and waitresses came to ask us what we opted for, 2 people said sure, but didn't do anything beyond that? And one person said no, the best of Brazil option doesn't exist. The other said they would confirm and just never came back. So we called the people back and confirmed if it did - and they said yes, it did and went ahead with that. The dining experience was fine, food kept coming, and the food was pretty good, but things weren't exactly replenished very well. Things like soup and the feijoada were gone when we came and weren't refilled even towards the end of our dinner. Got to the paying part, and they didn't charge us for the Best of Brazil option, so that was another mess to figure out. Overall, food seems great, and they do have very friendly waiters and waitresses. But operation wise, they could use a little help. read more

I literally had to ask if the soup was suppose to be cold. Answer- it wasn't. The veggies didn't seem or taste fresh. The meat and cheese were old and oily. Nothing was ever refreshed the entire time I was there. Both times. On top of it all, the service wasn't great. In fact it was a very uncomfortable experience. We are from out of state and frequent our local Fogo (Vegas). After learning there was a malfunctioning piece of kitchen equipment, my demeanor changed a bit. The meats were excellent! To the ones who say they are too salty or not the cuts they prefer, just ask!! The goucho's were not as experienced as some but as I understand they are new to this, give them some grace. I'm sure everyone has been new at something at some point in their lives. The one thing I will have to say is that the servers seemed to be all over the place, and we did wait for quite a while to be greeted or receive water and sides. Again, it seemed like they didn't have a section they just went wherever. They need a section and to keep care of those customers. We did however get the sides we asked for very quickly, the meats were asked for a few times and finally came out. We are from a fast paced city so this may be our personal pet peeve. Overall, it was excellent! The GM was super friendly, not just to our table, to everyone's. The meats most definitely did not disappoint!! One star off for the service but not for the food!!! I went here with friends who had only been to another location in different state. The way they serve the meat is extremely frustrating. All showy but you have little say in what you get. If you ask for anything you will have to ask again and again then they bring you something you did not ask for. They keep coming back asking if everything is okay? I EMPHATICALLY SAY NO! They make sad faces and say what can we do to fix it and then they don't do it. I've been sitting here 30 minutes or more waiting to pay and my gut aches with indigestion due to the aggravation. Roughly the same as Texas de Brazil, but slightly more expensive with a worse/smaller salad bar. The expensive cuts seem to be brought out far less frequently, with Ribeye having to be specially requested. The Ribeye was very bland and not marbled. It looked like no ribeye I've ever seen. Forgo de Chew! That's the name we came up with for this place after eating there tonight. First off let's talk about the Market Table. Have you ever been to the salad bar at Whole Foods? This was just a bad version of that. Brown lettuce, canned in the corn salad, canned in the beet salad, bottled salad dressings, cheap bread, etc. My group will eat anything put in front of them but nothing looked very good and what we did take was not very good. Brazilian sides? Running mashed potatoes that very well might have been from a box. Definitely not a silky smooth pomme puree, just runny, bland mashed potatoes. The polenta and the bananas were okay, nothing to write home about. Not to mention none of them even showed up until halfway through our meal after having to ask for them. Now the whole reason you go to a Brazilian steakhouse, the meat. Sirloin, tenderloin, lamb, pork, and chicken all sound delicious right? Too bad they were all cooked to death resulting in meat so dry you could barely even chew it. I'm talking cooked to oblivion. The second round of meats that came out we're definitely better, but on the opposite end of the spectrum. Medium rare on the outside and blue rare in the middle. That's what happens when you don't let me rest properly after cooking. Even if everything was cooked properly it wouldn't have been very good. None of the meats had any seasoning whatsoever, and the staff serving them doesn't know to cut against the grain so we ended up with long strands of chewy meat, even the tenderloin. I will say we all enjoyed the bacon wrapped chicken but let's not kid ourselves, you could wrap almost anything in bacon and it would taste good. The most bizarre thing though? Most of the staff serving the meats didn't even know what they were serving. A couple of them, who looked like managers, seemed to, but the regular staff did not. We asked several times what cut of beef we were being served and they all said the same thing. "Well we have three different types of sirloin, filet, pork, and chicken." I'm sorry but that doesn't help at all. One of them even followed that statement up with "So who knows, it could be anything!" They literally only have like six or eight different selections of meat, how do you not train your staff on what they are? Major management fail. To sum it up, the Market Table is entirely forgettable, the sides are second rate at best, not a single piece of meat that hit the table was cooked properly or seasoned, and half of the staff seemed clueless. If we didn't have a gift certificate covering most of the bill we would have spoken to a manager and left halfway through our meal. read more
