Was very pleased to finally make it to Foley Brothers Brewery in Brandon, VT. My sister and I sat outside on a beautiful fall afternoon and shared a table with some new friends. We had a very pleasant time sipping and chatting. Jane got a sampler, as per her usual, this time all dark beers. She particularly liked the Gingerbread Stout and Long Beard's Oatmeal Stout. I had a Grumpy Wench-a delicious NEIPA. We shared a pretzel. Restrooms are interesting. Parking can be tricky, but manageable. Looking forward to returning. read more

What a nice place that's tucked away in the woods. Very family oriented as the owner was celebrating his birthday with his family while we were there. I've had beers from Foley Brothers a few different times. Most recently, I loved their outstanding "Double Maple Brown", an Imperial Brown Ale, brewed with Maple Syrup. That could come out gimmicky in lesser hands, but for Foley Brother's, it was a rich, nutty masterpiece. 5 Stars read more

Quaint, but what about the beer ? Was here years ago and it was quaint, nothing has changed. I would have refused the sale if I was paying attention to the $20 cost for a 4 pack (AT THE BREWERY). Five stars for the beer, but don't come here in the winter time thinking this is a real "destination" like some of the other area breweries. Off the beaten path, this location is akin to a boutique beer distributor that also does tastings for a nominal fee. They don't serve food, and there is seating for maybe 5-6 people tops. That means, if there's another group also in the store, you'll be left standing, sipping on your tasting glasses while you pace around the small tasting room. I believe they use a bigger space/room in the summer time, but be warned that they lack a full kitchen, so if you're looking for a place to sit down and grab a meal and some pints, you may want to shop elsewhere. If, however, you're just looking to fill your growler, or pick up some tasty bottled brews to bring back home, Foley Brothers will not disappoint! read more

I love the small town feel this place has. I felt like I was in my friends backyard drinking some beers. Staff are super friendly, place has some great views, and they brew quality stuff. It is right next to a golf course, so you can heckle some golfers while drinking your beer! read more

This place is pretty good. We did a sampling of the beers on tap for the day in their tasting room. They seem to be big on IPAs (specifically double IPAs) as 3 out of 5 on tap were double IPAs. Now, I'm an IPA lover so this was ok with me! My favorite was the Fair Maiden IPA. They also had Hawaiian King (a stout) which my boyfriend enjoyed. The place is not very large. They do have a nice outdoor area for those good weather days. read more

Foley Brothers was my last brewery of visit for my VT trip. Yeah I know. Very sad. Goodbye Vermont and back to Boston to catch my flight. At this point, my beer consumption has been maxed out so I went to Foley wanting to just sip and enjoy my last moments of the trip. As expected, Foley Brothers is on a farm with a small taproom area in one area and lots of outdoor seating scattered within the property. My group went down the hill to their grassy area where we sat in the sun and had our beers facing the scenic backdrop of the countryside. The beer was actually pretty good considering all of the beer that I had consumed on this trip. I got a flight so I didn't really OD on anything in particular. I liked the IPA along with their dark stout as a nice counterpoint. And since it was so hot, they had a nice light ale at the time I went that helped to cool me down in the hot weather. Be aware that there are mosquitoes as I got bitten a few times on the leg from them. I do like how it is a very rustic type feel here and they always gave me more than the standard pour for my beer flight. Best (and only) Brewery in Brandon. read more

Foley brothers is the epitome of an off the beaten track gem. They operate out of and old farmhouse and barn. The beer tasting room does not have heat so you will probably be in the wine tasting side but it does not detract from this places charm and not to mention the killer beer that they are churning out. I was there over the winter so I would love to come back and hang in the beer tasting room. This is a rustic as you get (the restroom is the port a potty outside the barn!l) The employees were all super nice nd helpful. They have a refrigerator with a selection of their beers to purchase to go. My favorite is the Citrennial. A great unfiltered IPA that drinks really smooth with a nice balance of hops and citrus. I will definitely be stopping back next time I'm in the area. read more

Definitely a cool brewery with a cool vibe. Sort of in the middle of nowhere Foley Brothers Brewery serves delicious beer at a reasonable price. The pouring room is an old rustic post and beam barn and they offer numerous beers on tap. They also had a non alcoholic lemonade available that was delicious and refreshing. The grounds of Fbb are also nice and you can sit outside in either a rented or intended area. The seating area abuts a local golf course so you can also enjoy some free entertainment as you watch local golfers finish their round. Was a bit surprised to find FBB in local liquor stores cheaper than they were selling it at the brewery but other than that I was impressed with the beer, location, and service. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. read more

Wow! What a great find! I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried them all! I wasn't disappointed. Located in a quiet quaint area I felt like I was sitting out back in my yard. Went here on a whim on Saturday. We drove by the hidden dirt road (Stone Mill Dam Rd) and ended up in the quaint little town of Brandon before we realized we overshot. The brewery is idyllic, located in a circa 1700s barn on a little farm abutting a golf course. We walked in and chatted with the Aunt of one of the brewers as she poured us samples ($7 for 5 or $5 for 3 - a couple of ounces apiece). I dug the subtle pirate theme; each of their beers were named with treasure and the high seas in mind. Once we finished our samples we each grabbed a pint and played a round of corn hole on the grounds and concurrently watched frustrated duffers try to sink their putts on the nearby green. Beer was mostly different riffs on IPA like most spots in Vermont. Prices were a bit high. Foley Bros. is definitely worth a visit though, especially on a nice day when you can enjoy the outdoor tables and games. I hear they do wood fired pizza in the summer months too. FYI - Brandon Police dept. is right down the road so go easy or have a DD. read more

Stopped on a whim yesterday on the way home from Lake Placid and had such a pleasant visit. Spoke to two employees (owners?) that were so enjoyable and accommodating. While I enjoyed one of their wines my husband was taste testing and learning about their beers. We will definitely be back making it our planned destination next time. Thank you. read more

Putting out some amazing beers, they have a $5 tasting of the beers on tap. They also do growler fills and have reasonably prices bombers for sale. Everything from their Fair Maiden DIPA to Maple Brown Ale was fantastic. Be sure to check out Neshobe River Winery, which is in the same facility. They also serve a $5 tasting. It's actually where the Foley Brothers used to work and owned by the family. Rhonda, their mother and co-founder, was wonderful to chat and interact with. There is a beautiful view behind the brewpub as there's a golf course. Highly recommended if you're in the area or willing to take a detour when travelling back down south. read more

My wife and I recently visited the Killington area and stopped-by Foley Brothers Brewery after receiving a recommendation. While its ambiance is lacking, they are in the midst of an upgrade...and the location has a homey vibe. The beer was good enough for us to purchase some cans, which is rare during such visits, and the owners were extremely friendly. I accidentally found this place and I'm glad I did. When I stumbled upon this hidden gem, they were doing a double IPA release. The beer was killer and I actually took some to go. They had some amazing live fiddle and guitar music going on. The brick oven pizza they were cranking out was inventive and delicious. All in all, a very friendly and inviting atmosphere. I stopped here with my wife as part of the Vermont Brewery Challenge Passport Program. It was our 9th stop on the tour and ranked up there as a favorite. It's a little weird driving up to it because you're basically driving up to someone's house. It turns out they run a little B&B, along with a winery and brewery. In talking to the very pleasant "intern" in the tasting room, we found out that they've only been brewing beers for 2 years, as they used to only do wine. They sure know what they're doing with the beer! We did their sampler of all 5 current brews (only $5) They were all quite good and we left 22oz bottles of their ginger wheat and native ipa (only $7/each). I'll spare the details of all the beers as I already commented on them on untappd, but on that day they were sampling ginger wheat, native ipa, fair maiden iipa, native brown ale and old hob. read more

This was a really cool brewery/winery. They had $5 beer tastings and wine tastings. The grounds were really pretty. I'm giving it 4/5 instead of 5/5 because parking was a huge pain in the ass and I think the only restrooms they had were port-o-potties....so I just held it until we got to a gas station. I'm a big fan of their beer. the location was one of the strangest breweries i've been to. it was part of an old bed and breakfast. the tasting room was fine, but the property as a whole was extremely random and messy. Crap EVERYWHERE. that doesnt take away from the quality of the beer, but it gave some pause onto their reinvestment in the business and where your product actually comes from. one thing that was a bit concerning was the golf course next to the brewery. if they are using ground water, then its almost certain that its polluted from all the golf course chemicals. or...makes the beer taste good. there is also a vinyard on premise...and sold wine in the tasting room. note on that....we saw it about 40 min later a good sized package store and it was $3.00 less per bottle. They had 4 offerings of their regular 22oz bottle for sale in the tasting room. i hate 22oz bottles now as they are way too expensive for what you get. something around the mark of $5.50 per 16oz. read more

Pretty outstanding beer for a small (very small) brewery. Well worth the hike as long as the weather is clear, otherwise the drive is tedious and back icy roads. Other than that their prospect and pieces of 8 are up there with the best beers! Also, TRY THE DBL MAPLE BROWN! So amazing. read more

Beer was ok only had IPAs and not very good ones at that they all tasted the same. I did the 5 drink tasting could have had 3 and wouldn't have made a difference. The staff was extremely rude. My handicap uncle was with us and we wanted to pull up to the building to let him out since he has to use a walker and they would not let us. All we wanted to do was sample some drinks and get a few bottles of wine and some beer to go. We wouldn't have been there that long. They only have four spaces available and 1 was taken up by an employee and the rest were full with no signs for additional parking. I would not return based on their service and treatment of the handicapped. If I could give 0 stars I would. Spend your money at one of the many other breweries in the area. read more

Great experience. They have $5 tasting. I had The Fair Maiden IPA, Citrennial IPA, Pieces of Eight, and a Ginger Wheat. They were all very good. The Fair Maiden is probably the most well known and it was also my favorite. They sell pints as well as growlers and bottles to take away. They also have a winery attached. The business is family run and everyone was super friendly. The atmosphere is amazing so relaxing with nice outdoor seating and beautiful views. They have a dog chilling around it was so friendly and awesome (note other pets are not allowed however) I have been to many Vermont breweries and this one is my favorite. It is also next to Neshobe Golf Course which is a nice public course if you want to make a day of it and do the two activities together I would highly recommend. read more

Hidden gem of Vermont microbreweries. Much more enjoyable experience than the corporate-controlled feeling Otter Creek brewery has taken on over last few years. At foley the specialty beers were delicious and the IPAs were as good as the best I have tasted anywhere this year. Tender was quite knowledgeable and loved to converse with the customers I noticed. Wine tasting room was connected and adjacent so I tasted both while there. The location was off the beaten path but worth the effort of getting there. read more
