Woodland seevice was willing to order the tire for next day delivery since there warehouse was not in town. So I called L street Big O tires they ushers if I got there 1 hour before closing they would be able to get it done. I paid 25 dollar for the delivery of the tire same day and they made it happen under warranty. I brought my car in on a Wednesday morning for a simple tire alignment, but the appointment took two and a half hours. When it was finally finished, I was handed a three-page list of additional services they recommended for my car, including several things I never asked them to inspect. My car is only two years old, and I came in specifically for an alignment....not a full inspection of the engine and 20 other components. But an oil change took me 2plus hours.. but I did have diesel and it was a first time visit. I came in at 8:10 it's oil change not busy in store took a bit of a while for me. Don't trust Greg at the front desk. Even his colleague Xavier said he is known for giving customers false statements. If you're in midtown go to Midas on 16th and E similar prices and but at least the service is transparent. I have a small tire size and I know most shops don't have it on hand which is why I called around before bring it to Big O Tires on L st. When I called Greg promised that he could get the tire from their warehouse that same day and have my car ready by 5pm Friday so I dropped it off at noon. During the drop off Chrissy tried to charge me a delivery fee for the tire, which Greg failed to mention when he quoted me over the phone. That should've been the first flag but I gave them the benefit of the doubt since she wiped off the delivery fee. Before Chrissy finalized the service document, she called Greg and asked him where was he going to order the tire from because when Chrissy checked there was 0 in stock. Greg told her to not worry about it, that he already arranged for the tire to be brought over. And Chrissy assured me that it would be ready before the shopped closed Friday. While I'm at work, 30 min before 5pm Chrissy calls me stating there was a mix up at the warehouse they were originally going to get my tire from and that they have to order the tire from Oakland instead but for the inconvenience they were going to uber me out to pick up my car once it was ready Saturday morning. Well the inconvenience is not getting back to the shop, I live 3 blocks down. The inconvenience is the false statements that were promised before I dropped off my car. The inconvenience is that I work weekends and need my car to visit my patients in their home. The inconvenience is that now it's too late for me to take my car elsewhere. To top it off they didn't even uber me out, Xavier said it was a miscommunication between associates. There was nothing he could do because there was no manager available Saturdays. Update: After my partner made some calls - they did go out of their way to correct this. They sent an uber to us so we can retrieve our serviced vehicles at no cost. We are greatful they they wished to make it right, and despite the hassle of sending someone off-hours, they even replaced my air filter. I do hope they can offer more support to their team mates who need help, that support will translate to supporting the goals of the company (happy customer) Thank you! I dropped my car off with my partner at 13:30 on a Saturday to see about an oil change/tire pressure sensor check. They called my boyfriend to say they did his car, but not mine. 200$. They said we had 10 min to collect our cars before they bounce - and we got there well before that as we were across the street at a place they recommend. They were fully shuttered - both cars nowhere to be seen. We are left to ambulate a concrete jungle in midtown Sacramento @107 degrees. also- we live in natomas. also - theyre closed tomorrow, so this will mess up our work weeks! I called Big O tires because I wanted to get an alignment done. I called ahead of time because it was my lunch. When I called, I spoke with Sunny the salesman. I asked him about how long it would take and he told me, it's first come first server with alignment, but if I came in now, it shouldn't take too long. He told me specifically and hour and a half. I figured that's not too bad I'll take my car in and get the much-needed maintenance done. I get there, I give them my keys and as normal, I get check in. I go into the waiting area when another person comes in who also comes in for an alignment. Sunny said first come first serve so I figured my car should be done before theirs. 3 Hours go by, and Sunny told me it should be an hour and a half. Sunny tells me everything Is done, but one of the tires has a leak (The tire that I took there 6 months ago to be looked at that they gave me the all clear for.) After hour 3, I decided to pay, because I've been waiting so long already and when they are done, I just need to get out of there. As I'm waiting the person who had the alignment before me is already getting their car back. Sunny comes back to me and says: I have bad news. The alignment on your car wasn't done. I waited 4 hours and paid for an alignment that was never done and a tire rotation I could have done at home. If you are thinking of coming here save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. This place literally almost put in the wrong part on my car after I gave them the auto zone diagnostic sheet explaining it was the right rear speed sensor that's it. They tried to tell me that I needed to replace all 4 wheel sensors (400$). Very shady upsell, fear sell tactics. Poor girl in the waiting room had a screw in her tire and they tried to get her for 700$ set of rears cause they only sell in pairs. lol. Yesterday I dropped my car off at Big O downtown after a friend told me that do more than just tires. How did I not know that before?!? My A/C had been out all summer, and I was dying (nearly literally). Mike the manager was super nice, knowledgeable, and down to earth. I hate dealing with fake people, honestly. I saw a recent poor review regarding A/C which was my exact issue but I'm really glad I trusted them with my vehicle. They diagnosed the issue quickly and the price was far less than I thought I was going to spend. They gave me a list of all the services that my car was in need of but didn't try to pressure me into them. I got my car back, A/C blasting cold air within 6 hours. Do not waste your money or time here. I had a very disappointing experience at Big O Tires. I brought my vehicle in to have the A/C fixed and paid $1,800 using the Big O Tires credit card and another card. I was told the issue was resolved only to find water leaking on the passenger side shortly after and A/C not blowing cold air. When I brought the car back they told me I needed to pay an additional $2,700 for the evaporator core and that it wasn't covered under warranty. They neglected to diagnose the problem and did not properly fix it. When I tried to express my concerns, I was repeatedly dismissed, talked over and even called "hun". I expected better treatment and accountability especially after being a loyal customer and spending thousands of dollars at their shop including new tires and breaks in January of this year. I am now disputing the charge with their financing provider and filing a formal complaint with corporate. I do NOT recommend this location based on my experience. read more

I purchased a deal for a wheel alignment through Groupon, for what was advertised as Tire Pros located at 1615 L street in midtown Sacramento for my daughter and Son in law. We have been going around in circles with them trying to get them to honor it. According to them, (aka tire pros/big O tires) they will not honor it and don't do Groupon. But yet they had the nerve to say, oh we can offer you 38% off. In other words, I would be paying twice for the service. Now I am stuck with fighting to get my money back through Groupon as well as escalating it to filing a complaint against the shop and Groupon! One of the two have and are committed fraud. Husband and I went to check on a nail in his rear drivers side tire. The tire needed to be replaced because of the location of the nail. My husband had just purchased all four tires from a different big o tires location in Folsom in October, 2-3 months ago. They are all under replacement warranty. He was told his original tire wasn't available for three days. The worker said they had another one. He signed a paper with a zero dollar total. We left at 9:30am from the tire shop. We were told it would take an hour and a half. We didn't pick up the car till 1:15pm. So almost four hours later. We called them back for hours. We had been walking around midtown for almost four hours after we were quoted an hour and 20 minute wait. We decided to walk back to the shop because we didn't understand why it was taking so long. We were the only people in the shop when we arrived. When we arrived we learned the car had been ready for 40 minutes and they didn't call us to let us know. They also charged us for the different tire, $230. We asked repeatedly does the warranty cover the tire, we were assured the warranty covered the tire. We were not told the tire and labor would be an additional $230 until the tire was already on the car. We had a whole day of events planned out and weren't able to do any of it because of the inconvenience. Very poor communication and customer service. There was forthcoming financial information. If you are going to charge someone $230 for ONE tire "covered by the zero cost warranty" you should communicate that. We would've gone somewhere else if we knew the wait time or the price. read more

They changed a tire for me and it exploded literally 2 hours later due to improper mounting. I went to another shop where the mechanic indicated it was wrongly placed. And the stem valve was not replaced. We went back to request refund for BOTH tires and Jeff indicated that "there was nothing you can do" so he only refunded HIS BAD labor. Not a trustworthy business We unfortunately got a flat tire heading back home and since we bought brand new run flat tires less than a year ago from big O we decided to go to the nearest one which is the L street location in Sac. Jon who was at the front told us Big O locations are not the same (not very friendly), he sounded like he did not want to deal with us and we need to pay to get our tire patched up. Feeling scammed, definitely didn't sound right but they were closing soon so we just paid and got the tire patched. I just had the worst experience at Big o tires in downtown on L Street and 16th I was basically the victim of a big bait and switch. I purchased a Groupon online for 50% discount on tires. Before purchasing the Groupon or going down to the store I called the store to verify that I could use the coupon to purchase one tire and they said yes but I can only use one Groupon for household per month and I said that's fair and drove down to the store. After a 25 minute drive and about $4 in fuel I arrived at the store to purchase the tire. When I walked in I was greeted by a younger employee who jumped off of his cell phone in the back area and then came into the front to come help me when I asked to buy a tire he told me that the only way that he would sell me a tire is if I was to pay cash only and I said that's not policy or legal. He went to grab the manager who came out and then after a little bit of haggling agreed to sell me the tire. They rang up the bill for the tire and then I presented my Groupon. After presenting my Groupon the manager named Jeff said he would not honor my Groupon. I asked him why. He said we don't accept Groupons on tire carryouts. I said is that store policy? He just stared at me. I asked him why he wouldn't sell me the tire using the Groupon since the Groupon said it covers goods services and etc. He said if we're not going to install the tire then I cannot sell you the tire. I asked him again if that was store policy and why it wasn't written on the Groupon fine print or why the person didn't tell me that when I called into verify if I could just purchase a tire and leave with it. I started to record the conversation as I felt like I was being singled out since I know for a friend my white friend stopped by the other day there picked up a tire and left for his Subaru WRX. As he realizes he's being recorded he got a little more defensive and I can see the anger building in his face he began to become standoffish and would not answer my questions. I asked him if I could use the Groupon to purchase other goods such as windshield wipers, wax products, fuel treatment cleaners and if they all had to be installed and applied by the people who worked there? I asked him are they going to wax my car for me if I buy the wax? Then he gave me a kind of cross-eyed look as you realize I had caught him in his lie. He then changed his tune from being the store manager and then he said he was the store owner and that he was not going to accept the Groupon. I asked him why he would not honor the Groupon as it said it is good for purchasing goods and is the tire considered a good? He said he was not going to sell me the tire. I told him I would report him to corporate and he didn't seem to care he said go right ahead. When I ask for the number for corporate he would not give it to me, and in a rude fashion so that I could look it up myself. He eventually said that he would not even sell me the tire and then he turned around and walked out of the room. He did all this in front of another customer and another employee. I've been coming to Big O Tires since I was 15 years old and could drive, I've gone to multiple locations including this one and have purchased single tires before with no issue before. I honestly felt like this was racist targeting I don't think the manager whoever he was wanted to help me because the color of my skin and the way I was dressed once he saw me. On the phone I sound very white and I speak extremely proper and I think it confuses people when they see me in real life. It's a very sad truth but many people judge a book by its cover and I think I was the victim of that today.
