    Shrimp and scallop pasta dish

Went here for dinner and not confident we will return. We had 5pm reservations and arrived right on time. At the time of arrival we were the only ones in the place. We were a party of 7 had appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts. The food was good but nothing special and amazing. I would give more preference to the food than I would the service. At 620pm the waitress asked us to leave as there was another party needing our table. Again we were there an hour and 20 minutes. Our bill as most had multiple spirits and wine was $400-500. I wish they were just a little more polite than you need to leave as there is another party with an upcoming reservation. Maybe a little warning. We grabbed our belongings and went and got a drink at the Landon winery. I will post the pics as I said I feel like their food is decent. They are a small quaint place in downtown McKinney and were busy when we left.

They have the best fettuccine gamberi I ever had. Their risotto is okay. The place is very cute and romantic for dinner nights. Service was great. Definitely will go back to try the fettuccine again.

In town from NWA for the weekend and we were looking for a romantic spot, specifically with GF pasta. Will call this a hidden gem for anyone, but especially for travelers since it's off the beaten path. Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly. They have a lounge upstairs. The main dining room is lively and inviting. The space is tight keeping you from an intimate experience. The tastes in both plates were fresh and flavorful. The menu notes GF pizza, BUT they also offer GF penne. My only complaint was not having bread to soak up the glorious cream sauce on my scallopine. For the GF crowd, it can be hard to find fresh Italian dishes that taste less than the normal dishes. Outside of the substitute pasta, you wouldn't know the gamberi was GF. This restaurant is now on our list of those we have to visit when we're back in the area.

Food is spectacular. Some of the best Italian food I've had. Isabella was our server and she was so kind and knowledgeable. We're going back again this week!

They don't offer gift cards that are lower than 50$. Making a reservation downtown McKinney is always a good idea.

It was date night and my bf chose Fontina. He called ahead to see if they did reservations or wait list and she put us down for 7:30. We waited about 15 minutes once we arrived, but the whole experience was really quick. We were seated by 7:45, received our entrees just after 8:00, and were walking out shortly after 8:30. They have a very streamlined process of getting people in and out which is great on a busy Saturday night! I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the food! The chicken parm was a large portion with a nice thin cutlet breaded well and crispy. I loved how thin the pasta was, and it seemed like they use a housemade marina which was pretty good as well. The scallop and shrimp fettuccini was very flavorful and perfectly cheesy in our opinion. If I could change anything about our experience I would opt out of the bruschetta. We didn't realize they gave complimentary bread and dip, but it honestly hit the spot better than the actual appetizer. I think mainly the bread on the bruschetta was just too thin for our liking, however the flavor was definitely there! They have so many dishes on the menu, I definitely see us coming back for another taste.

Fontina was nice place for an Italian dinner for 11 people. The hospitality was exceptional and the food had some key highlights. My review of 3 stars isn't because I think this place is bad, rather I think it could be better. But I'm coming from a place of eating Italian food all of the world and in major cities so I'm looking for something to be blown away. With that said, I really enjoyed the bruschetta. I recommend getting bruschetta with mussels so you can dip in the stock. The risotto was good, not great but good. The saphron added a lot of flavor. I recommend ending your night with the cheesecake, absolutely delicious.

Reservation for 6 pm for 4, seated in front of bar. Server Isabella was very good, responsive & attentive. Food was not, which included margarita pizza which was bland with no basil to speak of, chicken scallopine that was cold, spaghetti carbonara that white sauce was not good and lobster ravioli that was very bland with yellow sauce. I had a j w black on rocks that was not a 1.5 oz pour for $16.00. Will not be back.

We walked in and got seated right away despite there being a good amount of customers. There was an average noise level with background music and nice old fashion decoration. My husband and son liked the food. I ordered the carbonara and it was decent. I was hoping for a more traditional style with creamy egg yolks, but instead it tasted like white cream. It didn't taste bad or anything but I usually measure an Italian restaurant by how good the carbonara is if they do serve it. The pasta, though, was perfectly aldente. We still had a good time and I won't be opposed to coming back, but I won't be ordering the carbonara next time.

We ordered the big pig pizza, Italian sub, Chicken Alfredo, house salad and Cesar salad for dinner and one of each deserts.... The pizza- great flavor on all toppings, crust and sauce. Suggestion- not enough sauce and could've been cooked a smidge longer. I'm ok with blistered crust and mild char on the bottom. 1-5 I'd give the pizza a 4. A tad more sauce (great sauce) and another minute in the oven! The Italian Sammy....dang good! One of the better ones I've had. I will order it again on next visit. The house Manhatten was delicious with subtle adjustments to the traditional recipe. The Arancina Tradizionale is a fried ball of tasty saffron rice, stuffed with Bolognese and peas. Its a great appetizer with lots of subtle flavors. As an entree I had the Cacio E Pepe, the famous pasta prepared in a wheel of pecorino cheese and covered in fresh ground black pepper. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the cheese was creamy and mild, and the pepper nicely balanced the richness with a mild spice. I ordered shrimp on the side and it was well seasoned and nicely charred. My wife had the geilled salmon and loved it. We didn't really have room for dessert, but since everything else was so good, we couldn't resist trying the Tiramisu and Strawberry panna cotta. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The cagliaritana had the PERFECT ratio of ingredients and the crunch on the pizza was unreal. Everything tasted and smelled insanely fresh. The Caesar was loaded with freshly shaved parm and somehow tasted way better than a Caesar salad has any right to. I think the croutons were also homemade? Perfect! The small three cheese pizza was also perfect -- great crust, great sauce-to-cheese ratio, and honestly the perfect size to split with someone alongside a salad. But the TNT panini?? Holy crap. The second you unwrap it, the smell of the garlicky focaccia hits you immediately. And the pink sauce was some of the best I've had. The tiramisu was also the perfect sweet ending to the meal. It wasn't overly sweet and soggy like most in this area. Cannot wait to try the cannolis! After years of searching for real Italian food, I finally feel like I found it.
