You feel like you're in Rome when the door closes and the hustle and bustle of the world shuts out. Hot garlic bread, iced tea & water with lemon for everyone. Soup of the day Cheese Tortellini, yes please, also Two slices of some of the best pizza we have tasted in the metroplex. The waitress was very attentive & took great care in making sure we had what we needed to enjoy our meal. In my opinion one of the best things for me, was watching the Family sitting at the head table speaking Italian and laughing enjoying their Family and each other's company while running their business. So this time we went and got a slice of pizza, which is just amazing pizza. It doesn't matter what you put on it. It comes out perfectly cooked, hot, cheesy, their dough is fantastic, it's just really good pizza! I will say our server kind of dropped the ball but it's hard to be mad when 99% of the time it's always perfect. I'm telling you you cannot find better Italian food in McKinney or prosper. And there is always a little bit of Frank Sinatra playing on the speaker to add to that homie feel of this restaurant! read more

This food is very good. First the house dressing is like a tomato vinaigrette it's delicious. Second the Alfredo sauce is top notch. The chicken Alfredo is very good. Chicken is grilled which adds another element of flavor, Alfredo sauce is creamy not gritty. I tried the chicken Maximo. Something different for me. It was also good. Not near the flavor the other items had but was still good. Servers were present and ensured a pleasant experience. The dining area is slightly dim but not dark which I appreciate. Kinda typical non chain Italian restaurant vibes but dang the food is good. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Went here for anniversary dinner and the food was amazing. Got two different pasta dishes and meatballs. Also had bruschetta as an appetizer. Everything was well made and delicious. Only knock on this place is lack of liquor license and no wine available. Service was great and ambiance was pleasant with music playing in the background. This may honestly be the best food I have ever eaten in my life. I believe I ordered the chicken and shrimp Marsala, or something very close to that, and it absolutely blew me away. Every bite was rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. I already know I will be back, and there is a very good chance I will order the exact same dish again. My wife ordered the chicken dish, not sure the name, and she loved it. We both thought it was the best food we've ever had, and we are both in our 70's. On top of the incredible food, our waitress was exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better. From start to finish, everything was outstanding. I truly cannot find a single negative thing to say about this place. It deserves 10 stars. We can't wait to go back. read more

I made a takeout order on a Friday night and drove 15 minutes to pick it up. I ordered a GF dish for my wife and when I picked it up, I asked the cashier to verify they made it GF. She said it was and I drove home. Turns out it wasn't made as a GF dish. I immediately called and was annoyed because it's 30 minute round trip to get a correction made. However, the owner took my call and told me to text him my address and what we needed corrected. I did as he requested, and then he personally drove to our house within 20 minutes with the correct dish. What!?! Where has customer service like this been? It was such a welcome surprise. I was so impressed with his quick reaction to right the wrong and his personal touch to make sure his customers all have a great experience. That act alone has made our family customers for life. Well done Italian Garden and BIG thank you to Benny, the proud owner and someone I learned from today. PS: the food was great as always. read more

Best Italian we've had (The restaurant I went to in San Diego doesn't count). I asked for the veal piccata but ended up getting served chicken piccata. The dish was so good I didn't even mind the mishap. This was the creamiest piccata I've ever had and I still think about it today. The restaurant itself had a family feel to it. The little restaurant packs a big punch! The service was wonderful but please know it is BYOB meaning while they don't serve alcohol, you can bring your own wine with you. We were seated right away and enjoyed a good meal. read more

My wife and I have been frequenting this restaurant since we moved to the area about 16 years ago. We are even more impressed today than we were way back then. Remember well when moma served you everything when things were slow. Still see this precious lady once in a great while. It has been a while though. The selection of Italian delicacies is impressive. Chicken. Veal. All absolutely delicious. The pizza is to die for as well. But let's talk about the soups. Just put your bib on and get ready to pick up the bowl to slurp up every last drop. Each day has a different soup specifically. Don't remember which day is which since each day is just "yummy ". Definitely try the wedding soup. Make sure you try the house salad dressing. It is completely unique and I really can't describe it. While the food has been consistently great that is to be expected since the same cooks in the kitchen the whole time. What is amazing is the staff. They consistently find servers that know Italian food and more importantly know how to treat customers correctly while still having a very open and friendly relationship with them. So I called in a to-go order for five lunch specials to go. When I came to pick them up, I told the older lady upfront that I would need the five sweet teas that come with the lunch special. She said we don't give the drinks when it's a to go order, only when you dine in. What would that even matter? It's the same price whether you eat in or take out. Smh read more

First time trying Italian garden was GREAT!! Where do I start? The food was delicious, and they give you a great portion size for a decent price. I had the spaghetti with meatballs which I enjoyed. The service was also very good! Our waiter checked on us every five to ten minutes, while giving us lots of refills on drinks and garlic bread. There was one thing that I didn't enjoy as much about the restaurant, which is the ambience. It had great music, but lighting just felt slightly off and place seemed slightly outdated. However, food and service makes up for that big time. I highly recommend trying this place out. read more

Food is always incredible. Ambiance is a true Italian restaurant with paintings and murals. The service staff can assist you with glasses and bottle opener for wine you bring in. The experience was an awesome one as soon as I walked in the door. I was met with a kind greeting from Alicia. The restaurant atmosphere is very welcoming and warm; with a family owned vibe. I ordered a salad and the three trio pasta. My food came out very quick and it was fresh and very delicious!!! I believe I have found my spot for my Italian food! First of all, I wish I got the name of the kind lady who helped us today she was amazing! We had a slight issue with the new ordering system and it wasn't getting made til we actually got there. We were fine waiting because it would be fresh and hot. We were able to sit in a booth and wait and it was really nice and had a good atmosphere. We waited maybe 10 minutes and we were all good to go when we got asked if we ate leftovers. Then they gave us a whole extra order someone had accidentally double ordered!
