I really wanted to like it....but last night I had my second bad Foo Luck experience and I would be a fool to go back again. The food was plentiful, but so was the oil. About an inch coating the bottom of the plate. That"s a LOT of oil. My kids were repulsed and would not eat it, which I did not blame them. Service was TERRIBLE - almost non-existent. Wow. I have been ordering from Foo Luck for the past few years. Usually, the food is pretty decent. Last nights order....horrible. I would rather have taken the $30 and given it to a homeless person. Chicken and Cashews reaked of some order we could not identify. Wife said it smelled like "bad BO" I concluded it smelled like urine. (not kidding). Chicken and Cashews, tossed into the garbage. Sesame Chicken...why does it have to be stated "all white meat"?? Has anyone looked at Sesame Chicken when it's not?? It's disgusting. Sesame Chicken, in the garbage. Food was a amazing, such a cute little place in Commack, I came all the way from Florida and this was by far the best Chinese/Sushi I have ever had. I highly recommended this place to all, it is family owned and has been around for a very long time. I would definitely come back! read more

After seeing all the rave reviews about Foo Luck on here, I recently decided to give Foo Luck another shot. This was after a sub par experienceI had with their food about 2 years ago. I have to be honest, I was dissapointed again with the quality of the dishes. My friend was equally dissapointed if not more so. We ended up discarding most of the dishes that we ordered. All I have to say is whoever called this foo suck is right, this place is terrible. Last week I ate at this restaurant for the last time after a number of bad visits. I have seen cockroaches all over the restaurant including THE DINING ROOM EWWWWW. the owner is very nasty and I have had multiple confrontations with her in the past. She is nothing but rude. The food is oily and tastes bad and nothing is ever fresh. The sushi is a joke. The only good thing about this restaurant is the one dollar can of soda. Oh and if it couldn't get any worse bring cash because this place charges an ILLEGAL 15 dollar minimum on cards. SAVE YOUR SELF A BUNCH OF TIME AND GO TO WIN ON CHINESE ACROSS THE STREET. I usually make my own food and bring it to work, but yesterday I was running late and had no time. I chose this place because they took credit card orders and they delivered. After giving them my phone order, I was told my order totaled $14.95, but they had a $15 delivery minimum. That should have been the first and only red flag I needed to hang up and try another place. But instead I added a can of Coke, only to be told they only had Diet Pepsi, which I do not drink. So then I asked for a can of Sprite to compensate for the missing five cents, which they said they had. I was told the order would be at my job, which was five minutes away, within the hour. 70 minutes later my food shows up. There were absolutely NO napkins, utensils or sauces in the bag, for starters. Nor were there any fortune cookies. HUH? The shrimp rolls were cold and dry, and had half a small shrimp in each one. The won ton soup tasted like lukewarm piss - no joke. The Sprite turned out to be Schwepps Gingerale, which I hate and which I ended up giving away. The pork fried rice was decent - a lot of fillers - but do-able. The tip I gave the delivery driver was much more than deserved. Overall I would not recommend their service or their food. Had they been willing to overlook the missing five cents for the delivery, I most likely would not have been as put of as I was. But don't tell me you have Sprite and then try and pass off a can gingerale. read more

Me thinks not any more............I have been going there for years and never a problem. Food is really great.....But.....the other day my daughter ordered 2 quarts of Chicken with Broccoli with $2 extra chicken in each. The containers were 85% Broccoli each. I couldn't get back there for a few days but told her to save the containers. I went there today but before I left home I ordered about $20 worth of food thinking they would do the right thing and didn't want to order after I made the complaint because you never know what an unhappy chef might do. So, I get there and pay for my order then I explained the issue. After about 10 minutes of going back and forth, the manager/owner said "we have the same chef for 17 years and never makes a mistake, every order is checked". I said "mistakes happen but I am here buying food because Your food is great". Her very firm answer was "We never make mistakes. Next time you come in I give you an extra $2.00 chicken no charge". I said "that just cost you a customer" and she walked away....Just like I did and never to return. I tried to go before dinner hour so I would not make a scene but fortunately there ended up being about 6 or 7 people who overheard everything. It is a shame because I really like the food but in the food service business, service is everything. read more
