After trying a few different Chinese takeout's, Panda seems to have the better tasting food.

Best takeout in the area. Have tried most and none stand up to the quality of Panda.

It took a long time before I tried this restaurant. The menu is limited but very unique---why would…read morea Chinese restaurant serve French Fries or a fried chicken sandwich? Once I let that go and ordered one and experienced all its gloriousness, I was hooked! This is a chicken sandwich with an Asian spin. Chicken is moist and flavorful, as if it had been marinated before placing the delectable fried coating on. The homemade sauce served with it takes it over the top. And those pickles? They are one of a kind. You NEED to try this sandwich! If you are looking for traditional Chinese American takeout, this is not it. The cuisine at Mama Chan's is many steps above (not that I dont enjoy traditional takeout, i do!) The food at Mama Chan's is like being at a friend's family feast where their mom is a fabulous cook! The Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup is like a warm hug on a chilly day, soooo tasty and satisfying. On a day when I was not feeling so well, this did the trick! Can I tell you that I dream about this soup?! It's THAT good. We also tried the Sesame Chicken (which is served as tenders---big juicy pieces!) with a great rice on the side, and the Steamed Pork Dumplings, which were exquisite. The dumplings are made by hand and are a little on the pricey side, but they are of good quality and you are definitely getting what you pay for. The dipping sauce that comes with them was great. Rounding out the dishes we have tried over a few visits are the Fried rice and Garlic Udon, both were very tasty amd enjoyable. On my next visit I want to try the Braised Pork Belly Bowl and the Sautéed Sting Beans. Although all my orders were takeout, I would like to comment that service was exceptional. The owner, Diana, greets you with a smile and is very personable. Food is prepared as promised, on time, and with care. They even provide utensils. And this is just one of the many reasons I am a returning customer. Did I forget to mention the Beef Noodle Soup?! You need this soup! Go try Mama Chan's!!! :)

Wow! I have gotten food to go maybe 15 times in the past year and our favorite is the sesame tofu and the fried rice that comes with it. We would eat here a lot more if it was less expensive. That's the hardest part!

The food is generally fine--nothing amazing, nothing terrible. Some dishes, like the sesame chicken and lo mein, are pretty solid and have that familiar takeout flavor you expect. Other items can be hit-or-miss depending on the day. Portions are fair, and the prices are reasonable for the area. Service is straightforward and efficient, though not particularly warm. You get your order, it's usually ready on time, and everything is packed neatly. The restaurant itself could use a little refreshing--it feels a bit worn, but clean enough for a takeout spot. Overall, Green Jade gets the job done when you're craving something fast and familiar. It's not exceptional, but it's reliable enough if you're in the neighborhood.

Ordered Small order ribs (receive 6 at LAI LAI for the same price and they are awesome), only 4 and one had maybe two bites of meat on it, another one was 2" shorter than the rest - minimal flavor, bland. Then the Fantail shrimp - what a joke, they should be embarrassed to have this on the menu. These were teeny, tiny shrimp in too much coating that was greasy and stale. The shrimp were like rubber - gross, $10.95. Then fried pork dumplings - a Chinese staple and test Green Jaded managed to ruin these as well. Small round pucks, could have been any meat inside - ZERO flavor, dough chewy and the dipping sauce was also bland. NEVER again, please don't waste your money - you will be disappointed! Drive an extra 5-6 minutes to LAI LAI in Centerport - it will be well worth it.
