Never really gone to food 4 less, but the first time I went I was serviced at the meat counter by Miguel and his attitude and work ethic was top notch! he was really nice and took his time explaining to me the different types of cut meat that they had! I went to this market , it was packed with 2 cashiers open . The lines were long. Two of the 15 or less were open . As I got in line , I split groceries with my sister. I guess I didn't count my stuff and she gave me a big attitude reminded me 15 items I was over by 3... I said oh sorry.. with no response. They have 100+ broken shopping carts on the side of the store with no rope or nothing and the few that do work were all being occupied. When I'm in the area I try to park a bit far but not too far from the store. Their parking sucks because some drivers cannot park. Inside, it is nice. Today, 3/17/20 at 7AM I went to the Food 4 Less store located at 24440 Alessandro Blvd., Moreno Valley, CA 92553 and had a very negative experience. When I initially came into the store I was only coming in to get two loaves of bread so I did not get a basket. When I got in the store I discovered to my surprise that they had toilet paper so I went to grab some toilet paper and a few other things and realized I needed a basket so I started walking towards the front to grab a basket and halfway there the security guard who was standing in the front saw me coming to get a basket and pushed one towards me, I thanked him for doing that. In the meantime as I was doing this a white man with short blond spikey hair came running towards me pointing at me and said to the security guy, "Stop her she is trying to steal things." I turned around, and said no, I am not trying to steal anything out of your store and not all black people steal. The security guard even tried to tell him that I was just coming to get a basket. The white man walked away before I could talk to him again. So I asked to speak to a manager, and Ruben came to talk to me and I explained the situation to him and told him that I did not appreciate the other manager accusing me of stealing and that not all black people are thiefs. He proceeded to tell me well everyone is stressed, tensions are heightened, etc., and blah blah blah. I told him that is no excuse to treat someone like he treated me. I am going to report this Food 4 Less to the EEOC and BBB because this kind of behavior is not acceptable. I don't care what you're going through. I don't usually leave reviews for grocery stores- unless something really bad or really awesome hits me and this time it was awesome. I was only shopping for a few things when I walked in. I brought one bag with me and was filling it up for a recipe I planned on making. Then I could not find things so I approached an employee to ask for help. Turns out his name is Ernesto and he is probably the nicest grocery employee I have ever met! He helped me find a few items and offered to get me a basket, but I declined because I thought I was almost finished shopping- then I ended up circling around the store looking for peanuts in shell (almost always by the beer section in FFL) and I ended back up in produce- when Ernesto saw me the second time he said "I am going to get you a basket, wait here!" lol and he did- I tried to tell the manager and pushed for you to get a raise. lol I will absolutely return just because of this awesome service and to say HI to my new favorite employee ! mad love for Ernesto! read more

I have been a patron of Food 4 Less for years in the Los Angeles area. We moved out here to Moreno Valley a little over a month ago, and started to shop at this store. Today, I had an issue with the pricing on a package of sausage I purchased, as it was mislabeled. The cashier unfortunately did not provide very good customer service because she attempted to make me to accept the increased price on the meat although it was incorrect. I asked to speak to the manager. I hate that I did not get his name, because he deserves MAJOR praise for the way he handled this situation. This man not only checked the price in the back, he pulled the tag to prevent confusion for other customers, gave me the meat and a FULL refund! He basically allowed me to keep the meat for the inconvenience! HE earned my loyalty to this store, because he went above and beyond to ensure that I was a happy customer. read more

Horrible service. I ordered a cake from them and when I come to pick it up there is no one in the bakery section. I called to see if I can have someone come assist but all they can tell me is they must be on lunch to try later then hung up. I waited an additional 15 mins to see if they would send anyone to assist but no one arrived. I called again got the same person and when I asked if there is anyone else that can assist me since I just need to pick up the cake he just responded "like I said last time you called they are on lunch and we are not sending anyone else only they can give it to you". This store (Alessandro & Indian) is always clean. The manager is very friendly. Whenever I've had a problem he would work it out. There is one problem I have and that is the produce dept. They don't have A LOT of different items. I've never seen a grocery store that doesn't carry sprouts of any kind. Alfalfa sprouts, bean sprouts, broccoli sprouts,no sprouts. The organic section is kind of small too. They also do not carry dandelion greens, jackfruit or tofu. They've reduced a lot of their items too (refrigerated salad dressing for one) I also have a problem with being incorrectly charged. On more than one occasion I have been over charged (for produce) because the item may not have the sticker so they look in the book and can't find it. I think it is mainly because the cashier doesn't know what the item is. For instance, I've been over charged for Napa cabbage because the courtesy clerk keyed in the code for bok choy instead. I was incorrectly charged for daikon radish because it also was called something else. One thing about their store though that stands out to me from any other store I've been in is the employee friendliness. I've never encountered one who is frowning or being too rude to answer a question. I am a mystery shopper (for a different company) and it is a habit of mine to "test" the employees. The employees here all seem to really like their jobs judging by the way they treat customers. I also wish they'd stock more in terms of ASIAN food products instead of discontinuing them such as NORI WRAPPERS! It'd be nice if they increased the gluten free options too. However, other than that I have a pleasant experience whenever I shop here. I'd give it 5 stars but the "Loss*Prevention" is a problem I don't want to be in the store for. read more

my family has been going here for years, this is the place to go for fresh fruits and products for a cheaper price, compared to stater brothers, ralphs, walgreens and even walmart. but their meat products arent very good here, which is why its very cheap, i prefer the asian oriental stores in San Bernardino. but this place is really ghetto, if you dont mind that just be aware of your surroundings at the parking lot, while my family was inside, my gas cap was stolen here and we just noticed when we got back our tank was already opened and the security guards didnt do anything about it (or he probably didnt see it) we had to report it to the store. read more

We were at the register behind the cashier of register #3, something held up the transaction because a couple of items didnt go through, and as far as I know no food 4 less has ever turn down EBT transactions for monster energy drinks, this one store does. I work near the one on perris and hemlock and they accept ebt for monster drinks. Our cashier got an attitude, kept on saying oh let me search your bags when everything else was ebt certified, managers and higher ups need to step up their game and teach their flippin cashiers some decency and respect toward others. You can easily lose customers for good, all of the whole store reflects upon management. No I'm not happy and I do hope management can give me a call regarding this. Well my family Member wanted me to write about this store. I guess the issue they have is there are no disabled wheel chairs, the manager said they all got stolen. To top it off the manager asked my family member to sit outside in the front of the store and they would get the items she needed.... Kinda a bit much. Is it okay they do this? Also when the manager dude get the few items for her he graves old milk and most of her eggs are broken. The bananas are brown and the tomatoes are smashed.. i barely get out of my car and i have three people separately wanting me to buy things off of them. yet they have a sign that says no loitering. then i go to the door to enter and some person dumped their bike near the door that people have to walk around. the female security guard is too busy on her phone texting her friend then hearing my problems with their parking lot. i got to the redbox and a guy propted his bike against the redbox and refused to move it. i go to leave and i see 4 cars literally parked at the fire line and there is no one waiting in the car or flashers on. to top it all off the lights in the parking lot don't work and i see a car that has a handicap placard parked in a no parking space between two already used parking stalls.... too dirty and too unsafe. read more

Is an alright place inside, I always mind my own business and never try to make a conversation with nobody. I think that the most problem is in the parking lot it can get pretty hectic at times. You see kids running around no parents telling them anything. People driving at a high speed for a parking lot so hold on to your kids and always look everywhere when walking to your vehicle. I am not one to leave negative reviews as I understand mistakes happen, but what transpired tonight was unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Me and 2 friends of mine came to this location for ice cream about an hour ago. We got home and my 2 friends, including a pregnant woman, ate a skinny cow ice cream sandwich before realizing the product had been expired for 10 days. We immediately drove back to the store for a refund and to speak to the manager. The manager was completely unbothered when we brought this issue to his attention, and literally said "this is nestle's issue, they stocked that product." The fact that they don't have in-store employees checking for and removing expired products is unbelievable. He was not sympathetic whatsoever and kept telling us over and over that it was nestles problem, not his. He then gave us attitude and a thumbs up and told us to have a nice night. The fact that a pregnant woman ate expired dairy from HIS story didn't bother him at all. We didn't get his name but I suggest whoever was managing tonight is dealt with accordingly and a date checking system is put in place before someone gets seriously sick and Food 4 Less has a law suit on their hands. read more

Save 20-30% over other grocers. The customers around you though are mostly around the poverty level I guess. Produce and Deli and just average. Meat is better than average. But the price, the price on basic grocery stuff can not be beat. Also, they cater to lower class customers so you won't find many specialty things that you might find at an Albertsons, Ralphs or Stater Bros even. We shop there for the savings and shop during the daylight. They do have a full time security guard there though. read more

I recently moved to Moreno Valley, and find myself stopping in about 2-3 times a month. The produce section far surpasses any of the "brand name" stores (Ralphs, Stater Bros., etc.). Nice selection, and good quality veggies and fruits. I shop early in the am, as the afternoon checkout lines can get pretty long. Friendly cashiers, and never have a problem finding an associate if I need help finding something. read more
