    Organic produce

The selection here is absolutely incredible. I am very impressed with their produce sections. They have a regular and an organic. While I don't mess with organics stuff, they seem to be pretty popular because there are always way more people there than I see at whole foods. I'm usually in here for coconut water. They have an abundance with Pope without Pope, pineapple, flavored, lime, flavored and more. They have imports from the Caribbean and from Thailand. It really is spectacular! The lighting is great and it doesn't feel like you're in a fluorescent hell like some other places. Lots of woodsy undertones and ambient lighting really make it a pleasurable experience.

Food Bazaar Harlem offers harder to find meats Including Guinea Pig and Rabbit

Just visited this Harlem Food Bazaar for first time. Compared to the Bronx Terminal Market location, this bright, relatively organized store was much more a shoppable scale... although it's a little far away from where I live. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised at the breadth of its impressive selection beyond every day major brands - especially with specialized produce, meats and seafood that may be useful for global ethnic cuisines. In the Produce section, that includes several different Korean mushrooms, banana leaves, lemongrass, 3 different fresh habaneros, fresh red and yellow beans, sugar cane, etc. In the Meat section, you'll find mainstream meats plus assorted goat options that include various burnt goat parts, actual pig heads, hard chicken, rabbit, and (yes) guinea pigs! The Seafood/Fish section even sells assorted fish parts and other cuts. Importantly, something that has been lost in recent times in smaller supermarkets, especially in the city, but not here! Food Bazaar Harlem's Seafood and Meat ("Butcher Shop") Departments can provide custom cuts to order. Similarly, the Bakery prepares custom cakes, as well as offers a range of fresh macarons. All that being said, while you may find good deals at Food Bazaar, especially if you use the app, there are some items you may find priced less elsewhere. It puts Fine Fare and many other uptown grocers to shame. While personally it's not a location convenient from my place, (where I can easily walk to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Target and Lidl,) if you do live nearby, definitely would recommend checking this Food Bazaar out!

Stopped by Food Bazaar while I was in the area. Surprisingly, produce and meat prices were very reasonable! It was organized, clean, and well light! Appreciated the variety of groceries, with a good amount of Latino brands and Carribean spices, and a sprinkle of Asian foods. Don't think they had any self check out kiosks but they do have a good amount of staff and two express lanes.

Only 2 cashiers on a Friday? Manager would not come out of the office to address this.

The honeymoon is over. This place was amazing for the first 2 weeks after the grand opening. Tons of fresh, cheap seafood, and meats, clean store, and amazing sales. Now, its over. The prices reflect the same as everyone else. The lobster are gone, and ona Friday evening they had 2 cashiers for 8 registers. Unless management course correct soon, this place willnot be worth the trip.

Food bazaar is a relatively new market in East Harlem. I was excited once it opened its doors. Prices are a fairly standard for the area. The market itself is fairly large. My main issue is the checkout process. There's always long lines when I go and for some reason for the past few weeks the self checkout Lane has been closed down. This is inconvenient for quick run for a couple of groceries.

We have developed a congenial friendship which was founded on La Fermière yogurts. Emre knows that I price shop so invariably I know when the time is right to buy these delicious yogurts at Eden. I often buy Siggi yogurts as here they are $1.99 each. The ladies - Dolores, Affou, Mamata, Savita, Tofu - at the checkout are friendly, kind and remember customers. A few speak French which I practice with them. Being originally Greek, the Dolmas in the prepared food section, are plump and particularly tasty. It's worth buying a few to take home. Adam looks taciturn but always is kind to me. He is behind the deli counter preparing sandwiches and always gives me a quarter pound of the Jambon de Paris. Miguel and Medina are also here. A loyalty card is worth having and once having accumulated many points I paid the princely sum of $1.61 for a pretty bouquet of roses in assorted colors that cost $11.99. Now that's a steal! Eden Gourmet is the sister supermarket to my beloved sadly closed Eden Gourmet of 14th street. This too is packed to the brim with fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, dairy, chicken and meats. A large variety of sparkling waters, frozen entrees, ice creams and assorted temptations are here too. A small bakery has cakes and pastries available. I pop in often to get milk or to see what's new and always to say hello to everyone. I always feel happy coming to Eden Gourmet Marketplace!

You'll get all the usual grocery store sections, including fresh produce and a deli counter in the back. There isn't a ton of variety, with maybe two or three options for most items. But those options are consistently high quality. Whoever is stocking the shelves has good taste! The setup for paying is a bit weird, they've got a long counter up front in lieu of the usual registers with lanes. It can make lines a bit confusing during busier times, but not a dealbreaker by any means.
