I'll have to go back because my first time I was overwhelmed by all there was to see and do. First, there were a lot of sample stations so I loved that. Next, there are so many interactive displays with chickens singing and flowers playing instruments...also someone dressed as a cow was schmoozing with toddlers. I got some great food there and the prices also seemed reasonable. Their bakery section stood out to me as well as their dairy. Will definitely check it out again if I'm on the east side of town.

At the time, this space was built out as an Amazon Fresh that was always slated to open "in a few months". But after a couple of years, it was officially announced that Amazon wouldn't open, which was a bummer for the plaza and grocery shoppers in the area (although Stew Leonard's is right down the block so it's not like it was a food desert). Anyway, thankfully Big Y took the space, breathing new life into the plaza as well as providing lots of jobs. Since I was in the area and I needed some mozzarella cheese, I decided to stop by and check out the market and I really liked it! The store is nicely designed and very inviting. The shelves were full and while mentally reviewing my standard grocery list, I could see they had all the stuff I usually need, unlike some stores (cough, cough...Stop and Shop). I got the cheese I needed and saw that I would save $1.70 if I signed up for a Big Y card, so I did that quickly on my phone to get my discount. Staff at checkout were friendly. In short, this is a clean, well-stocked store with good deals and friendly staff. I liked it.

One of our friends recommended looking at BJs and we went there and had a great experience. Opening the account was painless and we immediately saw a lot of deals that would help us recoup our membership fee in no time. Additionally, there were a lot of food-related options that were more usable for us and that was nice. Additionally, the cleaning supplies were a really amazing deal. I would also say that the staff we encountered were really nice and helpful. At least three different people asked how we were and if we needed assistance while we were walking around. It's nice having BJs as an option.

I bought an item from Macy's beforehand, and tried to explain to them that this item was already in my back pack. The item wasn't even an item Walmart sold. He couldn't even understand what I was saying. Zero English. But oh I'm not qualified to be a basic cashier or stocker.
