However, It's kind of frustrating being a white college graduate who applied for basic jobs there, and receive no call back after several months, when most of the employees there speak "zero English." I bought an item from Macy's beforehand, and tried to explain to them that this item was already in my back pack. The item wasn't even an item Walmart sold. They let you order items online, they charge your credit card, and then they wait over 2 days to tell you they don't have your items and they cancel your order and take another 5 days to refund your credit card. This happened to me twice in a row. Never again! read more

The store was perfect the way that it was but they updated recently or should I say "Made a mess of everything ". The new setup is ridiculous with items changed to new locations making it take longer to find what you need. Some of my usual items are no longer carried, the isles seem narrower, making it difficult to maneuver the broken down carriages. I heard from so many frustrated regular customers. This Walmart is amazing, it's HUGE! It literally has everything. The grocery section is considerably large and the clothes selection is elaborate. If you need anything, it is very likely stocked at this Walmart. It does get busy though so be aware you may have a wait to check out and a crowded shopping experience. read more

I've been to a few good Walmarts and a lot of bad ones - this one is actually ok. Firstly, whether you like Walmart or not, they have usually good prices on most items that will be priced higher elsewhere. It's this one constant which compels me to keep going or trying Walmarts - the prices. Nice lure for sure obviously, but to save a few bucks on just simple hygiene products (for example) is worth the trip and often the aggravation. Like most other locations, this one is stocked the same and the basic store layout here is like most others. If you frequent Walmart in general, you'd know where to find most items. This location does have the grocery/produce - though due to the lines, I'd get that last unless you want your frozen peas to be already thawed by the time they're rung out. The employees seemed ok here. I had very little interaction, but they didn't seem as miserable as most I've seen and they appeared to be actually working - which can't be said for locations closest to me. The cashier was quick, efficient, and friendly. There was actually more than 2 registers open for the time I went - though it was a weekend this time. They also have the scan it yourself registers, but they don't have an IQ requirement for it sadly. There is an employee there to help, but some customers just need to avoid trying to do it themselves when they can't even manage a shopping cart. Speaking of, expect the best of the worst here as far as customers go. Walmart does seem to attract the strangest, smelliest, rudest, dumbest, most oblivious, sloppiest, zombie-like customers above any other chain store that I've seen. I guess for the business that's great, but for a normal customer like myself it's annoying. So bring that bottle of patience with you when inside not only this location, but all Walmarts. A bottle of sanitizer and maybe breathing through your mouth are other good defenses. This Walmart shares the parking lot with several other businesses and the lot during a busy time can be a mess. It's not the best structured parking lot, so use caution. Most of the mess is in the front parts, so if you want to avoid that or don't mind walking a few extra feet (like me), there's plenty of spots in the far end. All in all a typical Walmart - just one that's not as bad as most of it's sister stores. With all due respect, when people say things like this Walmart is the worst or one of the worst - it's certainly not true in my opinion. I've been to some absolutely putrid, stomach churning locations in several different states and this one is not at all as bad as they are. read more

Came here to find an ugly Christmas sweater and they had one with lights and one with music, lol~! Wish they had one with both the lights and music! The staff was helpful, and the shopping was painless. As I rule I don't like Walmart because I believe the staff should be better paid and less exploited. Also, I wish they had a system to be able to locate items in a store, which they don't seem to be able to do. And in a pinch, it might be most efficient to just order the item online and have it delivered. But because this store was crowded and I believe it seems to serve a community need for an area like danbury, I am giving it 4 stars. read more

Great place to catch the virus! They don't have sanitizer wipes for carts. They don't enforce face masks to be worn before entering the store. They don't count how many people enter the store like they are supposed to. I don't know who runs this location but it's legit a $hit show! The guy on the speaker tonight was sooooooo annoying! He kept talking in this really annoying voice and he stayed on the speaker for almost 30 mins! Making the same annoying unprofessional voice! His announcements were rude and not professional at all! Please stop him from any further announcements! He should definitely quit his job! People don't want to hear the way he was speaking. I'm not the only person that complained about him. I passed a guy in and isle and he was frustrated by his rude behavior on the loud speaker! This location is dirty! Danbury needs to get it together! I would rather travel then ever come here again! This Walmart is always adding to their clearance section and has a ton of mark downs. You can definitely find good deals here. I found a ton of car stuff for my new car that were at a fraction of the cost. I also found blue tooth accessories and cell phone accessories for a dollar or two which was great. The downside is that a lot of the staff doesn't speak English and when you need help in one of the departments this barrier is a pretty big problem. They never know how to help you or say that they are looking for help for you and then disappear and no one comes to help. If you know what you are looking for and where to find it in the store then you will do alright shopping here. read more

Bought an XBOX ONE controller last night. Brought it home, and the right analog stick was acting as if i was pushing it upwards while I wasn't touching it. This affected the camera in all games and pointed it to the sky which was annoying. Only way to stop it was to physically hold the stick, and the second I took my finger off it did the same thing. Assumed it was a glitch I hard reset my XBOX, no fix. Updating the controller, no fix. Figured I would try to exchange it in, and after waiting in the customer service line for 10 minutes, they tell me the serial number of the controller doesn't match the one on the box. I inspected it, sure enough it doesn't. It really was the controller from that box though, not sure how it was different. Maybe I was sold a controller that was broken and they put it back on the shelf? Either way, after two 40 minute wasted, and $53 spent, I'm beat. Not going back to this location even though it's the closest Walmart, you've lost my business and I will order everything I need on Amazon, thanks. No joke purchased less than 24 hours ago, and I wasn't trying to pull a fast one on Walmart, just a lame situation. You have lost my business of potentially spending hundreds to thousands of dollars over a $53 defective XBOX controller. No complaints on customer service though, the guy who helped me seemed nice and was informative on my situation. Not his fault anyway, it's whoever put that crap controller on the shelf. read more

One of the worst Wal*Mart locations around. Let's start with how poor the service is. Help is hard to find and many of the associates have a language barrier, but that's Danbury for you. Just keeping it real. If you need help, don't expect to find any. The product selection is not so good compared to other Wal*Mart locations. I went to the automotive section and there were a lot of empty hooks this most recent visit. Not to mention many items were placed on the wrong shelves in other departments. The lines here are always terrible. I don't know if I've ever had a quick checkout here in all my years. Why don't they have self checkouts like most other locations? If it wasn't for a friendly cashier, I'd say they deserve zero stars. Don't bother coming here. Oh yeah, and parking is horrible in the lot. Consider yourself lucky if you ever get a decent spot. read more

They are not following CDC guidelines for COVID. Some staff does not wear mask. No management controlling the lines to ensure everyone is safe. Was very upset to walk into this store and see hundreds of people completely on top of one another with absolutely no social distancing and barely any sanitation. What was supposed to be a bathroom stop and quick shopping trip turned to me and my friend using the bathroom and then immediately leaving to go to the Target not too far down the road. This wally world is good but not the greatest. This place is Hugeeeeee! However the workers here lack customer service skills and aren't the friendliest lot of the bunch for sure. I was in here this past weekend and the store has many options already has a wide selection of Christmas stuff out but the selections are so wide and expansive they have more stuff then kmart or target and the selections are the best. A few years ago you could go to walmart and you never expected amazing service or high quality products. You COULD expect to have a cashier ring you out, and you got actual plastic bags that were big enough to use. I went to check out today and they had several lines SEVEN people long with like 3 cashiers total. Walmart expects you to just use the self checkout. As if that was not bad enough the plastic bags they now provide are TINY. I could barely fit 2 pairs of sweatpants into one of their bags. What sort of joke is this? The parking is also horrific at this place. Oh and I forgot to mention, they have someone sometimes randomly checking your purchases as you leave to make sure you are not stealing. BS! Of course I will continue to shop here because Walmart holds a monopoly through corporatism. What else can you do? read more

Cheap prices, lousy service. Every time I go here, I vow to never set foot in the place again. No one ever knows where anything is. Half the items seem to have the wrong prices marked--its hard to know whats on sale because sale stickers are wrong. Trying to return things is always, well, trying. My husband and I were both racially profiled by David the customer service representative today , we bought about $180 worth of items at this store. ,paid for everything in our cart but was pulled aside where this person proceed to check out receipts not once but 3 times . Only to realize we did infact pay for everything like we stated. After he was finished with his little show . We refunded everything we purchased. Supported this location for over 5 years . Never again will we shop here , just because it's Walmart doesn't mean you should hire from the bottom of the barrel. I ordered a head phone for my PlayStation 5 online they sent it to me on Dec 6 was a o arrive on Dec 9 but on Dec 8 they said on web site would be delivered a day earlier by the end of day on the Dec 8 said was lost in the mail somewhere on dec 9 I called and they said it was out for delivery but never came it changed to delayed so called on dec 10 I wanted to cancel they refunded d when it finally came to my house it was dec 22 but when I brought it said 2 day delivery do I brought the item to the Danbury store like the person said to do when I got refund so I gave to the service center they opened the package I told them what happened on Dec 24 I all ready got the refund just needed to return to the store so they opened the package I left the store on Jan 4 the same item I returned to the store it came to me thru the mail where they opened the seal from playstation and they used the same packaging they opened on Dec 24 they taped Thor package and when I received it the boxe it came from being mailed again was damaged and they said they did not ship it to me from there store when I returned it to to me and about a year ago the stole my debit card at this same store I would recommend you shop in New Milford or Milford Walmarts instead read more

Love that there's a Walmart super center somewhat close to me. Unfortunately don't like that the food selection stinks. No fresh produce, meats, or deli, kind of a let down. When they do have something, they have a very limited selection. For example staples like milk and cheese, they only have a couple options of each. Overall a good place to come for beauty products, gardening stuff, clothes and frozen foods. read more

Absolute dump. Target is a mile up the road and I'd much prefer to go there. This Walmart is one of the dirtiest places I've ever set foot in. Target expanded their food section to include fresh produce well Walmart copied them and got fresh produce except Target refrigerates their produce unlike Walmart who leaves their produce lying around in plastic tins with flies flying all over it as it rots. I would never buy any type of produce at this Walmart. The employees are just as bad. The managers walk around and talk to friends constantly while ignoring obvious problems with the store. The lines are always way too long and the check lanes add severely under staffed. And the cashiers they do have are underpaid. They don't handle any of your items with care. For example I had bought a ceramic gravy boat and the cashier just threw it in the bag instead of placing it then quickly rotated the bag carousel toward me. When I got home the gravy boat was chipped. Overall a terrible place, avoid! If you absolutely have to go there then God bless you! Use as a last resort read more

As far as Wal-Marts go, it's okay. It's not dirty or too hard to navigate & I shockingly was able to get out of here without too much of a wait. However, as I was leaving I noticed a Target right near by & was annoyed I didn't know about it earlier since I prefer Target. Some of the prices & deals at Wal-Mart are good & this one seems less hellish than what you're used to but I feel like Wal-Mart on principle would be my place of last resort. read more

Never left a yelp review for Walmart but today I stopped at this one and I was surprised. Walked in place was clean and bright. Not cluttered with stuff everywhere. Employees walking around maintaining store. And they seemed friendly. 4-5 registers were open plus the self check ones which was great. Store was stocked and organized. I shop at Walmart usually they are dirty sticky floors, miserable employees who are rude or clueless. Not this one so good for them.
