Doesn't really look good. Ordered the Reuben and onion rings to share. Reuben's are typically very large. This was a small Reuben and for sure could have eaten the entire thing. Onion rings were a bit soggy and table didn't like their fries either. The Reuben, though small, was very good. Service was quick and waitress was nice. The place is quite expensive for wha you get. We got 3 sandwiches, 2 with fries and 1 with onion rings, 2 waters and a sprite. It was $52. I think that is a bit high especially looking at size of sandwich but the were delicious.

The food is always spot-on. I have had several opportunities to go in on weekdays as well. The general vibe is slower, though the food comes out fast. Always several clusters of retirees and several pairs of business folks talking in hushed tones. On these days, even if you haven't been in in months they make you feel like a regular. This is Yelp, so I need to recommend a few things to order. Their chef salad is HUGE. The club sandwich is a great offering. And the one you'll skip over but shouldn't is the Adkins Special, which is 3 eggs and 2 meats (or 2x one meat) -- no bread, no fruit, no potatoes. Sometimes you just need to go all proteins! Anyway, all of these are great options. Also, their "numbered" deli sandwiches are all good choices. We remain regulars. Although I have only checked in about 40 times we are there at least twice a month. If you see me come say hi!

What a treasure! Take a step back in time when things were uncomplicated and slow paced. When I…read morewas in Ashland a few months back. I had an incredible VA country ham sandwich here. It was so simple and so good!! Now I'm back and I want the full Southern experience. The deli lunch special was pimento grilled sandwich, and I added VA ham! It was FABULOUS! Ordered Cherrwine soda, a bag of chips and a double chocolate ice cream sandwich all for $16! What an experience!! I didn't get any of their meats or other gourmet products, but this would be my go-to place if I lived nearby. I ate this on a picnic table outside the public library and got to take in the quiet downtown area. I very much enjoyed Ashland Meat Market and everything the town has to offer. Now I'm off to my meeting, then back to DCA then on to Boston. I am so glad I got to soak in an hour of the good life!

They said they could do it (after i verified what i wanted a couple more times and was ASSURED that the ham would not be already smoked) so I placed the order. I went to pick it up today and this is a cured and ALREADY smoked ham. When I called to address the issue, the manager laughed at me and said "oh, well I guess we dont have what you wanted then" I now have to entirely change my plans AND disappoint my family on Christmas eve because I promised them all a home smoked ham for dinner. I wouldn't recommend ordering from here unless you want incompetence.

Booths and bar tables. Not sure if they take reservations. Street parking. They promoted POTATO & DUCK PIEROGIES on the show so I ordered it. Came in 3 with broth. Very flavorful and fulfilling. We also got cinnamon bagel with cream cheese, eggs and Reuben (I think). Fresh and good portion. Staff were friendly. She answered our questions patiently and she was very nice.

The inside of the store was old school setup with booths and a huge full service bar. 15 minutes within opening, the restaurant was full in capacity. The menu had lots of exciting brunch dishes, appetizers, salads, soups and deli section as well. There were plenty of cocktails, beer and wines choices available too. Prices were decent. I picked the Jewish Sailor that was a combo of toast with pastrami and beef sausage with red onion and mustard. When the dish came, it looked so scrumptious. Loved the flavor of the pastrami, the crunchy sausages, crispy toast bread, coleslaw all of it. I also got to try the pierogis that were delicious as well. The service was good overall. Our waitress was attentive, while managing several tables at the same time. The dishes came out quickly despite being busy. Overall the experience lived up to the expectations.
