I mean it just doesn't get any better than this!!! An AMAZING hidden gem in Ladysmith!!! It NEEDS to be known by more people!! The French Toast platters I got for my mom & me were PHENOMENAL. The platters (2) were about $27 after tax -- & that Includes: 2 pieces of LARGE French toast, Eggs (we got scrambled w/ cheese), fried Potatoes, and choice of sausage/bacon. First of all, that sausage is PERFECT! It doesn't taste like cheap McDonald's sausage!! It's like REAL home grown meats! (Idk if it actually is but it tasted like it!). Second, the eggs & potatoes were SO DELICIOUS!! & Third, that French toast!?!? Holy Cow. Ms. Roxana really blew this out the water with the French toast!!! This is absolutely, hand down; the BEST French toast I've had!! I got my food to go, but the atmosphere of this restaurant is just such a vibe!!! I love it so much here & I can't wait to go back!!!

Breakfast all day, 7 days a week!

Great breakfast sandwiches, and you can tell they were made with love and care.

What a fantastic find, after a very hoo-hum experience at the golden arches...just down the road...yesterday. My wife and I both ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Delicious!

The ambiance is great for intimate breakfast or lunch. Roxie (the owner) puts her love in with sharing her art through food.

Coffee was pretty bad but the French toast might've been the best I've ever had. Lots of seating.

Their menu was quite large, with hot dogs, cold subs, hot sandwiches, and paninis listed. They also feature a couple soups daily. When we went, they had a loaded baked potato soup and a lobster bisque. The young girl working the front was very happy and helpful and gave some good suggestions too. The place is quaint, with several tables and lots of historic signs on the walls. We started with their baked potato soup - The overall flavor was nice. But the potatoes in it were rubbery, like they used the wrong type of potato or maybe over-cooked it. Also, the soup was just warm, far from being served hot. Next up were the sandwiches - I chose the BBQ chicken sandwich, which had thinly sliced chicken breast on it, along with BBQ sauce, mayo, and onions. The sandwich was pressed, like a panini and was pretty good. I liked the smokiness of the BBQ sauce. I also got a bottle of their homemade root beer and it was pretty good. They serve Route 11 potato chips, which are my favs! So, I had to pick up a bag of Mama Zuma for later - those things are spicey, hot, and tasty! Overall, it's a nice spot, I can see them being a popular lunch spot downtown.

I've been here dozens of times and keep coming back for more! Located just off Historic Route 1, in…read moreLadysmith, Virginia, sits the home of a sweet little tearoom named Cuppa Cheer. A welcoming sign invites you inside a peaceful nook where tea and conversation flow in equal measure. This cottage-style tearoom is designed with sage and rose floral chintz curtains, white laced tablecloths and parasols suspended from the ceiling for a whimsical flair. Owner, Terrie, wanted her tearoom to be appealing but not too frilly. She nailed it. Offering old-world hospitality, her tearoom is casual and cozy. She also is a force of nature when it comes to supporting the community and local artists, crafters, writers, and tea lovers! Depending on your appetite, the tea menu provides plenty of options from a "Spot of Tea", a pot of tea, two scones and fruit to the "Dilly-Dally Tea" which includes two pots of tea, four scones both savory and sweet, tea sandwiches, fruit, cheese, crudités, pastries and petite desserts. With the set menu changing monthly, you may be served such delightful tea sandwiches as cherry-walnut cream cheese, lavender chicken salad, avocado egg salad, carrot raisin sweet sandwich, tuna baby-pea crostini and the classic cucumber and cream cheese. The savory scones may include spring onion and cheddar while the sweet selection may be a peach cobbler scone. If you are lucky, you may come in time for the strawberry cupcakes and the homemade chocolate fudge. We enjoyed every morsel and the service was superb! Whatever treats are on the menu, it's always appetizing! Tea drinkers won't be overwhelmed with an extensive tea menu. Terrie thoughtfully offers a selection of about fifteen choices ranging from classic teas like Earl Grey and English Breakfast to green teas, herbal and fruit teas, oolong teas and chai teas. There's a tea for every taste! It's Earl Grey for me! After tea, be sure to enjoy shopping in Cuppa Cheer's corner gift shop. Filled with not only tea caddies, teacups, teapots and books, this shop is also brimming with hand-crafted items such as greeting cards, tea cozies, tea coasters, jewelry, wreaths and more. You may even find an elegant hat that suits your fancy. Be sure to browse around the tearoom dotted with tasteful tea décor and take a gander at the tea chandelier and the teacup quilt both hanging in the craft room. My Cuppa Cheer runneth over!

I'm going to start with I've visited this place twice and had two totally different experiences. A…read morecouple years ago we brought our Girl Scout troop and it was very lovely. Clean and the food was wonderful. Unfortunately we did not have that experience this time. I'll also add the host had recently had surgery and I'm unsure if that played a role in our experience. Our list of issues is long. The room was not set up for our reservation, it felt dusty and cluttered, the tables had crumbs on it, tea cups and the plates had a mix of dust and this black crusty stuff, and she just kept interrupting my daughter's 16th birthday celebration. This mostly because the room wasn't already prepared for the start of our party time. She kept having to bring in stuff and interrupting our conversations and made it awkward. My daughter is autistic, this matters because the host kept touching her shoulder every time she walked past her. I asked for the cake because after an hour of this we decided we don't need the other hour. Instead of leaving us be with the cake I brought the host decided to start singing happy birthday before I had the candle lite and while my daughter was opening her gifts. While I get she is the host I didn't not expect to have her insert herself in our party sooo much. Again our first time was nothing like this, but it's sad to book a 2 hour party and pay for 12 people only to have stale and sour food. Egg salad sandwiches were greenish. We are not rude people so we took the leftovers she packed and tossed it away when we made it to McDonalds. I'm guessing we paid almost $350 and got the crapshoot of a bad day...

It was hard as a rock and it was not edible at all. Unfortunately, Doordash was not willing to give me any type of refund or credit so I called Giuseppe's. They refused to help me. The owner wouldn't even get on the phone. Nino is his name. He refused to call me back. They don't have a manager so they're kind of running without any guidance. I called for a couple of days in a row and kept getting the waitresses or the cashier. Very rude. When she said she would call him and called me back and told me that he pretty much said the same thing I explained to her that Doordash was not giving me a refund and basically what Nino is saying is customers don't matter. He owns the restaurant. It was a 57 dollar order and he was not willing to do anything about it to take care of a customer. The fact that the owner Nino was Not willing to do anything about it, knowing his cook burnt an entire calzone and they still sent it out is crazy to me. And he obviously does not care the fact that he would not get on the phone with me or call me back and made his cashier give me the news and then rudely hang up on me is just unacceptable. There are better restaurants in the area. And with all the new restaurants coming into town, I'm hoping people start going elsewhere. The fact that the cashier refused to let me continue talking yelled at me and then hung up on me is sickening that they're allowed to treat their customers that way. We will not be going back and I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure my community and the surrounding area knows that There are better Italian restaurants in the area than Giuseppe's

I have been a loyal Subway customer for many years, but this visit was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Upon entering, I immediately noticed that the windows and food display glass were visibly dirty, and there were flies inside the restaurant, including inside the cookie display case. The overall environment appeared unsanitary, and the food itself looked like it was in poor and possibly expired condition. There were crumbs and food debris scattered throughout the preparation area, and the cutting boards appeared unclean. Additionally, the staff member who assisted me was unprofessional and unfriendly. I waited several minutes before being acknowledged, and when I was finally helped, I was met with a poor attitude. When checking out, the cashier overcharged me -- I ordered two 12-inch subs and two 6-inch subs, but was charged for three 12-inch subs and one 6-inch sub. Due to the restaurant's unsanitary condition and overall experience, my family and I did not eat the food, as we were concerned for our health and safety. I am therefore requesting a full refund for this order. Please investigate this location immediately, as it presents serious food safety concerns that could put customers at risk.
