I live in the same neighborhood and have watch this store improve cleanliness restocking better organization store looks great. BUT I do not except spoiled food from any store and this isn't the first second or third time! When it comes to dairy and meats that are are left out for sonetime and put back. I have broyght creamer that cones out like cottage cheese not the first freaken times and bacon that has smelled horrible not to mention other meat items. The managers brush me off when i complain well now you know. Please double check your dairy and meats you never k ow how long they have been storage improperly. So i had an instacart order at this store first time ever going here. Went in to grab a few items and was waiting in the 1 line at 8:30am and noticed self check out opened i went to ask the attendant Brenda can i ask a simple question please and she immediately stepped over 10 feet back and looked at me weird. I proceeded to asked my question and see ignored me and looked at me crazy and than mumbled something. I next said wow and looked at her crazy and said is this how food 4 less in this area is. And i said i was just trying to ask a question and it pissed me off at this point so now i am loud because she had no right to act this way so early when i was very polite. I came in at 11:56 PM 02/16/25 I know last minute, but only to buy a pack of waters, after a long days work and was shooed away by a light skinned women with short red hair saying it's closed. Found it extremely disrespectful and non compassionate. I get it, last minute, but the hours of operations are till 12 midnight. Literally I only needed at least 1 pack of waters, not a whole grocery haul! I was going to be in and out. I don't usually go to the store late like I did yesterday and this is why. Someone came into the store to try and steal gift cards and no security guard in sight. A poor brave cashier kicked them out and as a result was attacked with a bike!!! Outrageous!! At that time a night a security guard should be available!! I understand, that it get packed during the holidays especially during Christmas week but it is unacceptable that there is only 5 cashiers open for late afternoon/closer. The lines are all the way down where they have the meat. I was a supervisor from a grocery, and I know how busy it gets during the holidays, but management should have been prepared for these busy days. I don't go to this Food 4 less often but when I do I usual find what I am looking for. This grocery store is bigger than other ones I've been to. They have your typical produce, meats and seafood,etc along with some toys and books for the kiddos. This location is always busy so be prepared to make line. Parking is also a little hectic but just park a little far and you'll be set. For the most part the employees have been helpful and friendly. read more

Ya know, you think to yourself, hey Food 4 Less sounds like a great place to get some reasonably priced food among a great selection of items! So you go. You go automatically through the wrong door to enter and feel stupid cuz there's no way to access the shopping that way. So you go out and walk to the entrance. People cutting in front of you like you're invisible, check. Entire family bloodlines entering the already packed store, check. Security guard, check. People stopping their carts short in front of you like you're not there, check. People blocking every available walking space with their carts and relatives, check. No self awareness or consideration for others, clueless twits, check. See a pattern here? And that's the good parts. If you're a sharp, aware person with an IQ over 75, with common sense, a sense of personal space, with the ability to go places without every useless member of your family......hmmmm, maybe don't go here? My goodness yes, they do have a nice selection of items, heavy emphasis on Hispanic. And hey, the cashiers are kind, caring and efficient. But then there's the above mentioned customers ya gotta endure, who also think it's cool and adorable to let their kids run free. I needed some waters for my stay and this was the closest joint so I stopped by. There were quite a few customers here so it was busy. I want to make a complaint about Daniela the Associates team leader she was being rude today and it had an attitude , I'm sorry that there is long lines but that's not my fault. Then I told her I wanted a bag and she didn't give me one. I asked her again and she claims I didn't ask. Foolishly I went in thinking that it was going to be empty because it was 8pm on a Sunday. Not in Bell Friggin' Gardens. Parking was a pain, walking in was a pain (probably due to construction), and shopping was a pain. The more I shopped the more convinced I became that Food 4 Less wants you to get and/or stay fat. I couldn't buy much off my list because they didn't carry it. Reduced-fat ruffles? Nope. 97% fat-free Hebrew National Franks? Nope. Low-fat hamburger/hot dog buns? Nope. Like Adrian H. mentioned, it is a Food4Less so I wouldn't expect anything super-fantastic out of this grocery store, but it my go to for last minute/late night shopping (otherwise, go to Ralph's or Trader Joe's which IMO is not THAT expensive). I think the layout is SOOO much better than it was before. At least you don't feel like you're shopping in a maze anymore! And you can go straight to the registers, unlike before when you had to walk a mile around the whole store. I normally go at night, so it's not very crowded. Cashiers are decent & I can usually get in & out of there quickly. read more

Love Food 4 Less. If you're from the "hood" you are familiar with this grocery store. This specific location is huge and have a huge variety of products to choose from. This location reminds me of like a Ralphs or Albertsons. They have a hot food section and a decent sized produce section. The only thing you need to watch for here is that it literally is always packed. I have never ever been here and not had to wait more than 10 minutes to check out. It is very frustrating, but it isn't always the cashiers fault because people are trying to say some things should be on sale when they're not and use coupons that are no longer available. They have pretty good deals on drinks here, but I think that is any Food 4 Less, especially the on in Bell haha. read more

I get you need people for your staff but this store is mainly run by teens who look like they haven't showered and rolled out of bed in their pijamas that they havent washed in days. Ok this store is something else. First of all if you want to get ham and if the person who slices the ham isn't there forget it you wont get youre ham because apparently they only have one person throught out the whole store who slices the ham and if they are on break you'll have to wait until they come back. Very inconvenient. Second DO NOT get any gift cards from them. I was suppose to have remaining balance and somehow the next time i tried to use it the card was on zero. You would think they would help you since the gift card its from them but wrong. They give you a number and they basically tell you to figure it out. If you have proof that it was their mistake you wont get any help from the second shift what so ever you have to wait until the people in the morning can help.
