Working out on the Westside I have the opportunity to go to grocery stores like Ralphs, Sprouts, Trader Joes and all the other fan favorites of people with cash. Going to all those stores helps me appreciate the great value that is provided by Food 4 Less. Everything that you can get at Ralphs you can get at F4L and at a better price. The store isn't the most attractive to the eye, but for the most part it stays pretty well kept and there aren't food products thrown on the floor. Sure you might not find dragon fruit or some of your more exotic greens but they have a very good variety. Also, if you want alcohol this is the place to visit. At Ralphs when a bottle of Ciroc is on "sale" it is priced at $30. At F4L you can get the same bottle when it is on sale for $20. That is just one of the many examples of the saving you can have at this place. The lines sometimes can get long but unlike El Super on State and Firestone the lines actually move here and the people working the registers are really nice. There are a couple of guys that could use a smile in their lives, but for the most part everyone is nice and attentive. I go out of my way to do my grocery shopping here on the weekends because they deserve it. read more

An employee named Nelly of Food 4 Less in Maywood CA works for the meat department. Has repeatedly bullied and harassed customers. Many complaints have been made to the active manager and he has responded that the employee has been told but no disciplinary action has been taken. On 2/7/2024 I approached the meat department for various meat items. She rudely, abruptly rushed and responded to me after I had asked for her to have patience. This issues are that this is not my first encounter with the employee. Other customers waiting in line encountered the same treatment from the same employee. At that time we had brought up the issue to the active manager in which he stated that the employee has been warned but continues to treat customers with the same demeanor. 1/31/2024 would be second contact with the employee in which she refused to check for an item in stock after buying $200-$400 worth of meat and when I asked for her to separate or cut the meat her tone was degrading, aggressive and uncooperative. She proceed to help the next customer before I was done. And decide to speak to make in the same demeanor and refused to help an elderly man. We then brought up the same issue to the manager in which he said she must be going thru things. In which it is not my business. I have been a involved citizen for the past 40 yrs in my city. Have spent numerous money at Food 4 Less as my local store. Have I never encountered employees with such demeanor and managers with incompetence. This Food for Less is Dirty!!! Clean it get a new floor for it . For crying out loud get a new ROOF. The outside looks super dirty. The side walk looks very dirty . Get a hose water the sidewalk. My mom almost tripped on a piece of bannana in this food for less and it cause her nerve to hurt. This is not cool. Sell more organic food too. Clean the handles to everywhere. Get new open doors or the entrance. It smells bad too. Ralphs market is more clean and has better quality food but it's not cheap it's too expensive. Final stop. Not as packed. Must be my day! :) Been coming to this Food 4 Less for more than 10 yrs now, therefore I'm a valued customer. Ha! who am I kidding, but for real though, I come here for their deals. This is my family's "to go" market place. They have fresh produce, a bakery, meat section, a good selection of dairy products, alcoholic drinks, the works! I give this regularly visited Food 4 Less three stars. They are always fully stocked with fruit and veggies. Now I don't usually go to this particular market for meats, but everything else here like cereals, soft drinks and canned goods are always cheaper than Ralph's and/or Von's. This Food 4 Less is clean usually but you do have those days (especially Sunday after church) when it is completely messy and unsanitary. read more

Food 4 Less isn't the nicest supermarket, but it's one of the few in the area, and it beats Superior in my opinion. It's usually pretty clean and well stocked. They have a good selection of fruit, veggies and healthy items. They carry soy/organic milk. You get in and out pretty fast so no complaints there. Parking can be tricky but then again you can park farther and walk (oh no!). Oh and they have a Red Box location out front. read more

This is my family's go to market. It's cheap and close by so this where we buy the majority of our food. It can get crowded, the best time to go is early morning. I think they open at 7am and close at 12am which is awesome if you want to make a late dinner or grab cheap beers for a friends house.
