    Fish and Chips (Haddock)
    Ross K.

2019-05-08: Had the Fish and Chips for lunch, for $12.29. It comes with 2 fillet pieces of Haddock, Fries, and Tartar sauce packets. The fillets were pre-made frozen; they simply took them from their freezer and fried when I ordered. The fillets had a thin but crispy batter coating. But pleasantly, the Haddock fillets were thicker than average. If you like more fish in your bites, you'll like these fillets. The fries were average-cut thickness, crispy and not greasy. It's worth trying these Fish and Chips.

I would say hidden in the Hudson Bay store on the path to Eaton Centre is a small canteen that offers dishes that would preside in actually a cafeteria more or less. Price range can be about $15 on average but the food quality is less greasy than what you would get from a food court from a mall or plaza. What I like here is probably because it is somewhat hidden, there is not an overcrowd of people here that it is a struggle to get seats. Also that it is not too loud, you can actually have a conversation with the person you're sitting with. Seating is quite comfortable for the most part but I suppose you cannot expect much for it being a canteen style. Overall I would come back to visit again as their menu options change on a daily basis I would presume.

    The Moroccan Greens Salad.

An uber fancy food court! I've visited on and off, and it's a fine option for lunch if you work in the area or if you want an alternative to the usual food court fare in the Eaton Centre and the PATH. Located in the Concourse level of HBC, this place gets super packed at lunchtime (good luck finding a seat at prime lunch hour). On my most recent visit, I ordered The Moroccan Salad from the salad bar - it was fine, nothing too special, though the ingredients were clearly very fresh. I've had their pizzas in the past, which was significantly better taste-wise and a lot more satisfying. Their hot food section is definitely better/tastier than their salad bar. Overall, a decent option for a quick bite downtown, in the vicinity of the PATH (so you don't have to walk outside), and not too far from the heart of Eaton Centre (if you're looking for an option beyond the usual, standard food court meal). Prices are average for its location. For one salad in the Greens section of the salad bar, you pay $10.49 + tax.

    Pressed salmon sandwich

Was sucked in by how fancy the place looked, but I am pretty disappointed with the food. I got the smoked salmon pressed sandwich and it was super salty. I couldn't even enjoy it. It was probably the excessive amount of capers that was in it. I would not eat here again. I could get a better sandwich downtown for $9 + tax. Fast fresh is 10 with tax and its so much better. Service wise, both the people making the food and cashier were very nice. So if you like subpar food from a fancy-ish place with a smile, this place might be for you.

I've been here plenty of times. And I always leave satisfied. They have a huge variety of options. I also think you get good value since its slightly above fast food prices (in the area) for gourmet food. This time I had the pulled pork sandwich which was loaded with tons if pulled pork, jicama slaw and hickory onion rings. The sauce also had a good level of heat to it. The onion rings surprisingly stayed crispy even though it was drenched in sauce. This sandwich was mammoth in size!! It was definitely messy to eat (which is expected when ordering this type of food). I won't overhype it but I would definitely recommend getting it. I know I'll be back for it!!

I have been a fan of this place for years. Coconut curry soup with chicken is my latest obsession. The largest size is 5.95 all in. Their sushi is expensive but they have some interesting combinations with pomegranate and brown rice. Kaleifornia rolls are a healthy option too. My absolute favorites are the cheese croissant, almond croissant and basque tart. Staff are fast and friendly. Their sandwiches are great too. And the salads. OMG I love everything.

I love going to Foodwares for lunch. For under $15 usually you can get a made on the spit order from many different stations. The specials change daily. On my last visit i got the Porchetta ndwich and potato salad. The porchetta is cut on the spot for each order. The potato salad was a bit rich for me so my friend helped me finish it.

Lots of food options. Our group ordered salads (I had salmon salad), which were excellent.
