I had an unacceptable experience at this Foot Locker location due to the store manager, Jesse. I brought in a brand-new pair of shoes with the original receipt to make a return. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Jesse was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. He refused to process the return and failed to provide a reasonable explanation beyond insisting on his own decision. Good customer service starts with treating customers respectfully, even when there is a disagreement. Jesse's attitude was unprofessional and made it clear he was more interested in asserting his authority than helping resolve the situation. I've shopped at Foot Locker for years, but this experience has seriously changed my opinion of this location. Management should expect better from the person representing the store. read more

Its been a hit or miss for me at this Foot Locker Location. Somethimes they have the certain pair of shoes I want sometimes they don't. The salespeople have become very pushy and eager to make a sale these days. They want to make sure you leave here with a new pack of socks or shoe cleaner lol. Sometimes I just want to walk in pick up a pair of fresh white on white Air Force 1s or even a nee release of Air Max not a six pack or Foot Locker Brand socks! With Amazon dominated retail I feel this location and others will eventually shutter. Until then, I'll drop in once in a while to see what they've got to offer. I went to Footlocker escondido mall today. The customer service was quick and helpful, she brought me my size of shoe.. The salesman said they have a military discount, the shoes weren't cheap so I went up to pay for them, that was a nightmare. I showed them my military card, but that wasn't good enough. You have to enter all kinds of personal information on their machine which is utterly ridiculous. After 5x their machine still wouldn't accept my information and let me pay for them.. It was stressful and completely out of line for any company to put a customer thru this unnecessary drama, when they are just trying to pay for merchandise and just leave. A girl came over, who I'm assuming was the Mgr. She also couldn't submit my military info, so she just did an override. I just wanted to get the h.ll out of there. Here is a Foot Locker with out a House of Hoops but they do got other sorts of shoes and they do carry Jordan Brand . So if your looking for other sorts of shoes then this is your place . The store is not as big as your normal Foot Locker . The ones with a House of Hoops is UTC and Fashion Valley . Those Foot Locker do get Limited Shoes meaning that Some Release shoes are only available at those Foot Locker . But over all I give it 3 out of 5 for no House Of Hoops . read more

I go in this footlocker often and rarely end up buying anything. Very distinctive taste for shoes and I really got a love it, to buy it. I'm always treated well. Today, my 11-year-old and his friend spent quite a bit of time in there, by themselves, trying on all the expensive fantasy shoes. No intention of buying, but too young to realize they were wasting the associates time. When my son and his friend reported back to me that they had tried on all these shoes, they said the sales person was really friendly and helpful. I just have to say, I think that's awesome. A lot of the time, the young folks working in the stores treat little guys like mine, like they're not important. This guy, Ferdinand, treated him like he was just as important as anybody else. He exchanged the shoes for a brand new pair immediately. Not only was he understanding about the situation, he went above and beyond to make my experience great. I'm writing due to the fact that I was told I could bring a bank statement by one employee and the MANAGER, today I brought in said information and Arieen (a foot locker employee) and she was rude and unprofessional in every way! Basically saying to me I was never told by anyone there that I could do that. I have purchased many pairs of shoes from Footlocker and the 20+ years I have been buying shoes on my own. The shoes I purchased were not cheap they are nearly $200 and they're not even Jordans so what does that tell you! I'd say at the moment I have roughly 15 pairs of shoes ranging from Adidas to Nike to your name. I will never shop at this footlocker again as long as this young woman is still employed And I urge you as the consumer whether your average or not, do not spend your money or waste your time going to Footlocker because you will receive less than unsatisfactory customer service at best! I just got off the phone with the corporate office customer service and some how they do have record of my purchase. How does that even happen?????? Something to consider. read more

In short, Footlocker has a terrible return policy and little to no accommodation when they are at fault. I got a gift from someone and had to exchange for a different size. The size was not available at the store or any nearby stores, so they told me I would have to order it online. A few days after, I get an email stating that the shoe is out of stock "nationwide". Why did I even bother ordering it? Why wasn't it known when I ordered it that it was out of stock? Then, I called customer service to inquire about obtaining my refund. The representative told me that I paid by cash and I should return to the store and receive a refund via cash. I told her I did not buy it with cash but rather used my gift receipt. She assured me it is fine. I go to the store and I am told I need the card for the refund. I told the cashier about the first representative's response. The cashier stated that it has to be by original method of payment, which I understand. Problem is the person with the card lives hundreds of miles away and I have the receipts. Also, I would not be making this trip if I wasn't told previously this can be easily done at the store. I called the phone service again and stated my problem and asked if the money can be returned to the original card holder (like how returns are made by any other store) without going to the physical store. I have already wasted my time going twice. The phone representative was not nice and had a pissy attitude. In the end, he told me to get a merchant card (footlocker credit), which I would never want to use, or get the original cardholder to deal with it. It would have been fine if I was not told different stories from different phone representatives, if I didn't wasted my time going to the store an extra time, or if I didn't have to deal with shitty customer service. If I was told the correct information by phone the first time, then I would not have a problem. If footlocker had a competent return policy and be able to return money via credit card without the actual physical card, then I would not have this problem. If footlocker had better technology to know if something is in stock before ordering, I would not have this problem. read more

I always shop at footlocker. This is my go to place. I use to work at the Carlsbad location for 7 years. But this location has left a bad taste in my mouth. I call dec 26 to ask if they had a shoe in stock. They said yes and put my size on hold. When I got their to pick it up they informed me they had sold it earlier. I of course was upset and asked why and they informed me the manager decided to sell it since it was a popular shoe. So I of course went to Carlsbad got my shoes, on top of a discount due to Escondido mess up and was as happy. I gave them 2 stars just because I use to work for them. It's inside of a mall, so you're going to pay mall prices. I don't mind paying more if I'm getting something out of it, but I'm not. I've been in to look for running shoes (I wear Nike) and no one ever comes up to customers to help/get shoes to try on. Nikes are Nikes regardless of where you buy them. A reasonably good store with a good mix of popular styles, quality running shoes and discounted items. I would recommend this store for the products it stocks and sells. Bought shoes at this store about four times during 2014. Had to deal with a particularly rude employee (wears large black-rim glasses) on the last occasion (made the unforgivable mistake of changing my mind on the shoe size I wanted). I have been enough times to this store to recognize him now and this has completely ruined the experience. It will be a while before I go back to that particular store. I have bought 3 pairs of shoes from here hyper dunks, Derrick Rose addizeros, and Kobe VI, I thought this place was really good to buy shoes until today. I went there to do an exchange for the Kobe's I bought from them that cost me $140, the guy that sold them to me said they ran big a recommended a smaller size. I thought he knew what he was talking about so instead of the 10 and 1/2 I got a 10. I went to the gym and they were cutting off circulation in my feet. I bought them on the 9th and could not bring them back immediately because I had finals this week. The policy is 30 days, I bought them back 7 days later and the guy was really rude to me, and said I wore them, he was right I did but for a short time. He went to go ask his boss, and came back to the counter and said I can do it this time but never again, I was not visibly upset but in my mind I was furious I mean I have almost $400 with them and they are going to give me a hard time woooooooooooow. This review is not for this location specifically but for foot-locker business as a whole. I ordered a pair of shoes online on cyber monday for a reasonable price. The order went through and I was tracking it online. The delivery had messed up and the package was lost. The problem I have with Foot Locker was their customer service through the phone. I asked for them to re-ship the shoes, unfortunately they did not have the pair in stock at the warehouse. I asked if a store nearest me would send them my way, they said no. After i was hung up on 3 separate times while i was being more than fully cooperative. They told me all they could do is send a refund or reimburse with a gift card. I chose the gift card because I still wanted the shoes. I then called back to see if the footlocker employees would have them shipped to me or to the store near me and the answer was no, I had to drive and get them. Without a car, going 45 minutes out of town for a pair of shoes that should have been delivered to my house 8 days prior to me dealing with this. I am very disappointed in the efforts Footlocker has made to make a satisfied customer. Creating customer loyalty from me or any of my close ones or friends will now be very difficult as I will share my experience with them. read more
