I've gotten shoes here before but the last few trips the customer service has been terrible. The staff seems more into personal conversations than helping clients. A week ago I snagged a pair of the Olive Green retro V's and asked about the women's white retro IV that released today. The manager told me they would arrive on Wednesday but couldn't sell them until Saturday. I asked about a reservation or deposit and he said no we sell them when we open. So I show up today and they aren't selling any. The manager said they did a raffle for them, and that he mentioned it to me last week. BS. I do notice negative comments below, of unattending-attendants, but what I did see, was that the manager-looking-lady, on August 24, had everyone on their toes, and if they had their backs turned away from me, she made sure they turn them around to face me. Walked in with my husband to see if there was anything we liked. We were immediately greeted upon walking in. Once we had picked our shoes out i turned to look for an employee to get out sizes and the majority of the employees were bunched up at the register laughing and joking somewhat like highschool kids slacking off. One of the employees that was doing rounds checking on all the customers asked if we needed any help and he went back to grab what we needed. Once we headed to the register the female cashier was just too serious and awkward just asked who helped us, for an email, we paid and done. No "hi are you ready to pay" "did you find everything ok?" Don't bother coming here for limited releases. I literally witnessed employees saving shoes for friends/regulars. I came here before opening and just wanted to pick up a pair of nmds for my girlfriend while other people were waiting for AirMax 97 releases. They opened the door and told everyone that they werent going to receive the AirMax and that their shipment of nmds were coming in about an hour. I waited there and whenever an employee asked me if I needed help, i reminded them that I was just waiting for the NMDs. One of the reasons why I shop at Foot Locker is for their exclusives. Each distributor (Foot Locker, Finish Line, etc.,) makes deals with manufacturers (Nike, Reebok, etc.,) for exclusive rights to release certain shoes for a predetermined amount of time. Usually Foot Locker does the best job with Nike exclusives and Jordan brand, so they always get a look from me. Another reason I shop here is for their athletic gear. If I can't make it to a Nike outlet to load up on clearance items, I go to Foot Locker for their swag. Whether it's sweats or basketball shorts, the quality is always there both in cost and in durability. One thing I don't go to Foot Locker for is customer service. They don't work off commission, they work here for employee discounts and to keep the shoes they want off the shelves long enough to snatch it when it gets marked down. The associates aren't paid that well and they probably have a full-time job anyway. Or they're students, live at home, and spend 50% of their paycheck in the store. How else could they afford to buy anything here? If you want great customer service, then go to a Niketown, a New Balance store, or Nordstrom. You won't get great customer service at Foot Locker, but they will get you a pair of shoes if you're holding one of the display shoes. And that's the rub baby... read more

I live almost 30 min from this store, so when I'm looking for something specific, I'd like to know if it's actually in stock before I waste a trip. I took the shoes back to the store the next day and the manager who was working said he would only be able to replace it, not give me a refund. I said ok, and he went to the back to look for my size. He comes back out empty handed and says they do not have my size in stock and he would have to order it from the manufacturer. He gave them a call only to find out that the manufacturer not only does not have my size but the shoe I purchased has been discontinued. He said my only option would be to buy another shoe and pay the difference. At this point I was fed up with the whole situation I decided just to throw in the towel and choose another shoe I liked. I asked for a size 11, 10 1/2 at the smallest on 3 pairs of shoes to try on. Ten minutes goes by and he brings out 1 pair of size 10s. I asked him if he didn't have any larger and he replied with an annoyed "no." He then proceeded to text on his phone without asking if I needed any further help. I came in prepared to spend at least $200 and the employee was completely fine with me leaving without any effort to make a sale.
