Came here from a farther area down the peninsula since the main website said that they were doing a shoe raffle this week. I came here to find out they were doing a bait and switch on me doing a first come first serve basis and I got refused and disappointed that they it was their choice not to do it even though the main website says that you are participating in the raffle. First of all, if you guys are doing a first come first serve, you should've told corporate and updated the main website so I wouldn't have to waste my time and fuel coming here just to get turned away. I'd like to get reimbursed for gas money since you guys just wasted that and my time for me. I can't get back my time since that is something that is irreplaceable. Second, I tried ordering some Adidas shoes over the phone a week or two ago and they didn't bother answering it after it was not busy. I called at least 5 times without the busy tone ringing and they chose not to pick it up to get my money. So therefore, I'm choosing to definitely not come back here even if you guys were the last place to sell the shoes I'm looking for or doing a raffle for shoes in the future. Footlocker you guys should change your staff on this location, it's bad for your franchise and business getting lost. Foot locker.... One of the few shoe places I'll ever visit now since my bopper days where I'll spend my time after school looking at which new jays, dunks, and air forces to buy. I'm more of a uggs and addidas slippers person now... (Lazy and comfortable slip on) Came here with the bf cause we were looking at new shoes to buy for our trip to Hawaii in the end of July so this was our first shoe store encounter. Initially, we were gonna go for matching free runs but the bf got his eyes on the black roches with black bottoms so I asked for my size. The girl worker informed me that the smallest size they had atm was 5.5Y which was the display one I tried but it was too big... So I was pretty bummed out. So the bf asked if they had his size which was 10.5. BRADEN helped my bf find the roches in his size and he was very very helpful. The bf and him even had a long conversation about Hawaii and Braden talked about his experience with his gf when they went to Hawaii and the activities they did. Still bummed out when Braden found the bf's size, so I jokingly said "if only you guys had my size in that shoe" and Braden asked me what size I was looking for. To my surprise... He came back wIth my size 5.0Y!!!! What the..... ..... Anyhow... I was ecstatic to learn that they carry my size considering that the girl that helped me earlier told me that 5.5Y was the smallest they carried... Both the bf and I copped the same matching roches and this $24.99 soles protection that Braden recommended since we will be doing a lot of hiking. Turns out the bf used this brand six years ago back in high school for basketball! They even still have the same 1 year warranty which was great ! Overall, I walked in thinking I was just going to browse around in silent and take a look and walk out. But a five minute walk in turned into a 35-40 visit plus a purchase which i haven't done in years from footlocker ! Heh. In total, for or two roches and two soles was 200 ish. Not bad considering the customer service we got from Braden! ^__^ Definitely ask for him when you visit because not only does he have really great customer service and recommendations but he doesn't push you into making a purchase. read more

I don't always write bad reviews, but when I do it's because the service was THAT bad!! Came here in hopes of exchanging a pair of shoes that i had a feeling were an online exclusive but figured it was worth a shot, and that the shoes could be ordered through the store's system in the event the shoes were not available in store. The first thing to keep in mind was that the store was NOT even close to being crowded, and there were no customers waiting to be helped. The guy that helped us was useless, to say the least...unfriendly, LAZY and unapologetic. Second thing i keep in mind, i used to work in retail. I know it can be shitty, I know it's not an ideal job, but taking it out on the customers isn't going to get you anywhere. So we ask the sales associate if he could order the shoes for us through their system, he said that he couldn't and that "you have to just do it yourself by mailing it back." RUDE!!!!! If you're gonna lie to me at least put some more effort into it and come up with an excuse! Later that day we went to the Hillsdale location (because i know that stupid prick at the Stonestown store was a dirty little liar) and two of their sales associates were happy to help us. I usually don't write many bad reviews unless I felt (as a reasonable person) that I have above-average bad experience at a retailer. This place has bad service. 1) I was charged twice for one pair of shoes and this Footlocker said they can't fix it and to contact my bank. My bank tells me it's 7-10 working days for the refund to take place. Not a big deal but all they had to do was look up the transaction and see it was charged twice, then refund it immediately 2)Footlocker also doesn't honor their online prices in the store, rather deceptive business practice if you ask me. 3)They also acted like they were doing me a favor by honoring their military discount policy. read more

Upon entering the San Francisco Stonestown Foot Locker, I was promptly greeted by Shawn. I explained to him that I was constantly experiencing pain for days after running due to the lack of cushion in my Nike Free Runs. I told him I was looking for some Nike Vomeros, which have extra cushion support for runners. Shawn recommended I also consider some Asics, and explained to me the differences among the styles and varying amounts of cushion. He offered to have me try on the Nike Vomeros and the Asics Kayano 19s. The Nikes were good, but the Asics were beyond my expectations. Shawn even commented that he could tell by the look on my face that I found what I was looking for in the Kayano 19s. Shawn was efficient, cordial, and professional, with proper tone of voice and body language, and he demonstrated thorough knowledge - without information dumping - across multiple shoe brands and styles. I ended up purchasing a $150 pair of Asics, which was much more than I wanted to spend, but I was so pleased with the comfort of the shoe that I didn't care about the price. I look forward to running tomorrow with my new shoes, and I know these Kayano 19s will help improve my run times and prevent me getting any more shin splints. About me: Throughout University, I worked for 5 years at Verizon Wireless in San Francisco, where in my last year, I became the only representative in the company's history to be named the #1-rated customer service representative (based on customer surveys) AND the company's #1 retail sales representative (based on 12 sales metrics), both within the same year. SneakerHead review: I hate to blow up the spot & give away my secret, but this footlocker is awesome. The 415 Footlockers never fail. Tanforan & Serramonte is always busy with raffle ticket drawings and always sold out of heat. Downtown SF, Mission st, & Stonestown mall will always have the heat, and no one ever seems to bother shopping here. From Jordan rereleases, to Foamposite, & everyother deadstock heat, this Footlocker has never let me down. They hold your shoe size for 1 hr or so. They are great here. read more

Basically I agree with all of the reviews that the people who work here are really bad. I've worked in retail in the past and I know that it's really not that hard to go up to someone and ask them if they need help, ESPECIALLY when nobody else is around the store. I mean that's bad, but it's ultimately forgivable. But when I actually wanted to purchase something, I got a look like I was being rude for interrupting the important conversation that was going on behind the counter. The selection is pretty much the same as you'll find in any foot locker, and the prices are the typical prices you'll find anywhere else. This store is located in Stonestown Galleria mall. I usually do not buy shoes at footlocker but I needed running shoes badly. I checked it out and ended up buying 3 pairs of shoes. Nordstrom which was also located in the mall was having an anniversary sale and the prices were the same footlocker was offering, minus the headache of fighting to get some help. Maybe it was a coincidence, but I did compare prices. The service was beyond excellent, the youngsters and there boss answered all my questions, recommended, and made sure it fit properly. The only minus for footlocker would be the lack of shoe sizes available, size 7.5 - 8 Nikes are all sold out. I would have ended up with 6 pairs of shoes! read more

lets just say i went to the hillsdale mall location in san mateo... and was not impressed. dude was standing there shooting the shit with his buddy... and they were eyeing my gf more than wanting to help me with finding a pair of shoes. .... Definitely not the case here at stonestown mall... as soon as i walked in JAMES (ask for him if you go there) was very friendly and asked me how my day was... greeted me with a huge smile as well... i knew what i wanted and he helped me right away.. he left for only 5 mins and came back with the exact pair i was looking at... he also just started random conversation. james was very knowledgeable and so helpful in my purchase. also Tianna the nice young woman at the register also helped me and was very detailed in explaining the receipt. i will definitely be back here to buy shoes. read more

This foot locker is the worst! All the clerks are like 14-years-old and too cool for customer service. Twice, I've left dejected, not because I didn't find a shoe I liked, but because the clerks couldn't give two sh*ts if you were there or not. I could be trying on display shoes desperately asking for my size, but, if you're not a clerk's friend, or a giant Sidekick, you ain't getting no love. After I and my man returned some shoes I bought him as a gift, I got a call from a manager asking me how the service was. I told him the truth: that it sucked and that he would have bought another pair if the clerks weren't so damn rude. Hopefully he was assessing his staff and making changes. This footlocker has some decent options in terms of style and types of shoes. A good thing in a weird way that I found was that it wasn't that busy at around 5pm. However, I did not know that meant the employees would be extremely lazy. After asking to try two shoes they never gave me any info on the shoes or asked how they fit. I found it very unprofessional to just hand the shoe and leave. There was only one guy at times who was watching the front but not doing much other than standing. The have the newest shoes but I was unable to buy it because no one else was on the floor. Go to another foot locker if you want to buy the shoes! read more

I came last week looking for Jordan 1 Flights for my girlfriend. Serramonte, Tanforan and Westfield malls were all a dud since none of them had the size, same with this one but Kelvin and Eddie did their absolute best and checked everywhere if they have it and nothing. I checked online and the warehouse have the size needed so I bought them and shipped to this store. Got an email today saying the shoes arrived and walked in and there they were all ready to go. Very bad experience. Ordered a pair of shoes to get them delivered to my son. I gave the precise address to the SP. She didn't enter the correct address. When I mentioned it, she said it was too late. I was told to call customer service to correct HER mistake. The manager didn't help. Told me to contact customer service and ran to the back of the store. I asked the SP to call and fix the problem. Had to wait 15 minutes to get answer from customer service. She gave the correct address to the person and said everything was good. I just received confirmation of shipment and the address is not correct. Why am I surprised? Thank you for help! read more

I'm no fan of chain stores, but I've found that shopping at the Foot Locker in Stonestown Mall is a very pleasant experience. The sales people are very nice and helpful. And there's one clerk who always remembers the style of shoe I like and my size, so when I walk in, she just starts showing me the new colors. They have a very good selection of shoes especially athletic ones. I nearly always buy my basketball shoes and running shoes at Foot Locker or Champs. Service isn't great, but I wouldn't really expect grade A service from foot locker. Their shoes are generally they have similar prices to other store on newer shoes. Check out for shoes that are on sale though, and if you see a shoe you like there ALWAYS check Champs on the other side of the mall because the have many shoes as well and occasionally will have what you wanted for a lower price. read more
