The team members go out of their way to help, and they seem sincerely and genuinely caring. They are so lovely--I always enjoy visiting! The service is always stellar at this location, and today was no exception. I was looking for some great deals for the early Black Friday sale and Esmeralda was great in answering my questions. The store did not have the size I wanted for some items so she offered to ship the products to my house free of charge. I was also informed of BOGO socks when I picked out one pack to purchase. It is so great to know there are better deals! Esmeralda was amazing when she offered to help clean up a big mess my daughter caused! I had to borrow some cleaning supplies from her and she not only offered to help clean, she even gave my daughter a trinket to make her feel better about causing a mess! That is above and beyond. It doesn't seem that long ago I gently picked up my sweet-smelling baby from his crib and rested him over my shoulder and put my cheek against his downy head. He was almost always wearing Carter's, especially those super-soft onesies. From birth to about 6, Carter's was my go-to spot for soft, nearly indestructible, quality babies and children's clothing. No tacky slogans blazoned across shirts, no scratchy poly-blend fabrics to chafe delicate skin: Just clothing made from long-staple cotton that survives scores of washings and are still hand-me-down ready. This store is particularly well-stocked with helpful, cheerful staff eager to assist finding sizes and offering to order out-of-stock items. You can sign up for Carter's email offers and they won't bombard your inbox. And, those online and in-store offers are valuable and give you additional savings off their 50-70% already discounted clothing. I love this store but now I only get to shop there for friends who have littles. Not only are the clothes first run (no irregulars) and are deeply discounted but they always carry the elusive long-sleeved onesies. When I got there to get my order, I decided to peruse around the retail store for a bit. This store has been around quite a bit and there's a reason why Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby haven't pushed them out of business; no matter what season it is, they ALWAYS have discounts. I looove Carter's! This is a great place to pick up cheap kiddie clothes for your own and for gifts. You can get tops and pants for $5 each. They also have pj's beyond 9 mos! Macy's only carries pjs up to 9 mos so if you need kiddie jammies, go to Carter's. Only draw back w/ the two piece pjs, their collars are a little small so if you have a kid w/ a big head, you have to buy up in size! I've mixed and matched the tops w/ the bottoms (e.g., I used a 24 mos top w/ a 18 mos pj bottom). Good quality and great deals. My husband and I looked around for a diaper when we realized we had used the last one an hour ago. Panic ensued. Then there was frantic grabbing of car keys and jackets. In less than five minutes we were on the road to the nearest Target. After parking in the lot, we opened the door to remove the kid to find he had ejected an amazing amount of vomit onto himself, his clothes, and his car seat. Not spit-up. Vomit. I spied the Carter's store as we were wrapping said baby in a blanket. Knowing we had tons of clothes at home, we hated the idea of wasting money on things we didn't need. However, the smell...ugh. We ran over to see what we could buy for as little money possible. We all know Carter's clothing. It's reliable, accessible, and they offer cute designs that fit a variety of tastes. I thought we'd spend $20 and not be too put out. To my surprise an entire outfit was $7.00. The sale racks were filled with bargains, most up to 50-60% off. I don't understand the high reviews on this store. The store is always a mess and its dirty. The items are expensive and the employees are very rude and not helpful at all. Target next door is much cheaper and I've had better customer service from Target. What is up with their coupons ? Fine print doesn't allow you to use them on many purchases. Cheap cheap clothes, and they know how to get you coming back for more! (Their coupons!!) Since every single baby is bound to be wearing carters clothes at one point in their lives, they do a good job... prices are cheap, designs are basic (nothing that thrilling but for the basics, they are great) and oh, did I mention cheap??? Sure, every so often a mommy will want to buy a Janie & Jack outfit, or a Tea Collection shirt, Zutano, etc.... but I cannot substantiate a 7 month old wearing clothes more expensive than my own every day of the week. SO, this place is a good value. Their return policy is great (we ended up getting a LOT of clothes we could not wear and returned) and they seem to get new styles in stock pretty quickly. This is my #1 choice for new clothes-shopping for my now 7-month-old son. (Used choices include Chloe's Closet and Peekabootique in SF.) The store is manageably-sized, unlike the warehouse-y Babies R Us. The staff is friendly and helpful but not high-pressure. The store is conveniently located next to Target, a BevMo, and a good quick-food option, Fresh Express (I think that's the name, it's a buffet-style place). The sizes make sense because they post what weight ranges correspond with their sizing, so you can find what will actually fit instead of guessing as with other brands that just slap "9 Months" on as the size with no referral point. The clothes are cute and look like baby / kid clothes, not miniature adult clothes -- that really irks me... If you have a boy, expect lots of dinosaurs, trucks, sports themes, and animals like alligators, frogs and turtles. However, they are cute and there are bright colors like red and orange along with the standard boy colors of blue and green. You can also buy cotton PJs here, which I like. I don't enjoy wearing polyester and don't want my son to sleep in chemical-treated poly. The prices are great as mentioned in other reviews. It's the land of the eternal sale and markdown. The clothes are just cute enough that you're proud of them, but cheap enough that when your learning-to-eat baby smears carrots all over the place you aren't freaked out, as I would be if I routinely blew upwards of $20 on a onesie. But that's just me. I recently saw a cashmere sweater for a 6 month old at Peekabootique, so apparently there's no end to the luxury for some babies.... read more

I really like this place, but unless you have the 20% off coupon and the cards that give you $10 off your purchase, i always feel like I am getting robbed. Maybe it is because kids grow like weeds and they outgrow clothes so quickly I never feel like anything I'm paying is worth it. Or maybe it's because several times I have purchased something from Carters only to find it next door at Target for cheaper...or at Ross for some ridiculously low price. If you're stocking up for your own kids, here's a pro tip: do not pay full price for anything! Get on the email list and they'll send notifications about their sales. It seems like that have 40/50% off sales every few months. Also, they send monthly coupons and have a store credit reward system when you spend a certain amount. Even so, if you need to buy something here asap, the prices aren't so bad. I like that their clothes are, for the most part, comfortable. They make soft onesies, leggings, and even fuzzy "jeans" that are great for young babes. I think it's so sad to put kids, especially babies, in anything stiff or scratchy so Carter's is a favorite of mine. The employees here are decently helpful. It's a good sized location that's well stocked and doesn't get too busy. There isn't much room for maneuvering a stroller. read more

We LOVE Carter's! They have everything you could ever need from sleepers and socks to sandals and shorts. And they usually have major sales going on or if you're on their mailing list, they're constantly sending out coupons. I advise to NEVER buy anything for full price. You will always be able to find it at a discount at some point. However, because of all the sales the store is a little messy which is completely understandable. But its something to take into consideration if you're going to let your little one run around in the store. read more

One of the first times I even shopped here I asked a employee how long the sale would be going on for. She told me that even when this sale ends another one will immediately begin and she meant it. This place is ALWAYS having a sale. I can almost guarantee you that you will never pay what is actually listed on the price tags. Clothes, blankets, diaper bags, shoes, toys. All the cute little things you need to make a kick ass baby shower/birthday gift that would rival those you would find at a boutique, but without emptying your wallet completely. Another nice thing is they actually have some little girl's clothing that isn't completely pink, frilly, frou frou, or all of the above. I always go to carters stores like this one because they have a really good selection, they are organized/clean, and they always have great clearance and sales. This location is nice. The employees are mediocre on the relational scale but they get the job done and keep the place clean. It's very conveniently located next to Michael's (artsy life hack moms go crazy) and target (just in case you don't find what you are looking for). One day I went to Target with some Carter brand clothing hoping to exchange them because I received so many sets of duplicates for my newborn. I remembered seeing Carter at Target and thought it was a brand sold exclusively through Target. I had no gift receipt, but just thought I'd try my luck at the returns counter at Target. The lady told me flat out the tags on the Carter items I wanted to exchange were not sold through Target. She said they were sold through a Carter's store. I was bummed because I didn't know where my friends bought these authentic Carter clothes. So I asked the Target lady and she told me right next door. I had to ask her twice, "You mean right next door to here? This Target store? You mean it's just outside this front door here?" Flabbergasted. Whoda thunk there was a REAL Carter store and it happened to be right next door? So Carter's accepted my clothing returns. Issued me a gift card that never expires. And I didn't even have ANY gift receipts to go with any of the clothing. I'm impressed. The best part of this store are: 1) Everything is never MSRP. At least 25% off. 2) The back has a big selection of outfits for $3.99. 3) Their gift cards never expire. Cute cute outfits. The sales staff is all female and helpful. ***There was a recall of Carter's clothing back in 2007. They were Carter brand with tags that were Made in China. You can google it and see. I'm a fan Carters because of their modern designs and colors. The fabric that they use, however, is a different story. The onsies, sweaters and pants feels sorta stiff - I figure baby clothing should be soft, smooth, or plush? I'm a touchy-feely kind of person when it comes to baby clothing. Then again, I'm not a mother yet, so I wouldn't know if it even makes a difference. I signed up to receive e-mails for coupons and they send them out pretty often! If you've got a little one to shop for then you need to add this place as one of the shops to visit. Carter's makes some pretty good quality clothing and some of it is pretty cute without being too cutesy. What's great about the Carter's store is that the prices there are insanely good. Much better than any markdowns at any department store could ever be, plus you get a decent selection too. You can find infant gift sets for less than $15 and if you want to assemble a small wardrobe as a gift you can probably put together a very impressive one for about $50 (many little outfits). Their undershirts are so adorable and priced really well. Depending on when you go, they could be 50% less than regular retail. Baby and kid's clothes is one area where you really shouldn't have to pay more than you have to. They grow so fast it's crazy! A recent trip had me buying: 3 pairs of socks a pair of overalls a pair of shorts a long sleeve onesie 3 bibs a shortsleeve one piece 2 pairs of cotton pants the total was $40 with tax. Amazing. The store itself is nothing ritzy. Kind of reminds me of a factory store but not as big. It's layout is pretty straight forward. Girls on one side, boys on the other, older kids stuff in the back. If you are looking for baby clothes do not even bother going anywhere else! This store has all the seasonal items for your little one! They always have great sales and offer discounts when you get to the register! I have compared prices of the clothes here to Target and Costco and have found that the Carters store is cheaper by a few dollars with the exception of their Halloween Costumes that Costco sold for cheaper (I didn't realize this until after I had already bought mine). One star for customer service at this place. I went in today to get a last minute outfit for my son since it was unusually hot in the Bay Area. Everything was fine until check out. The cashier was a complete RBF face. She took my phone number ran my transaction and didn't bother asking if I had coupons or anything. Then when I made a mistake about the coupon she had this smug ass face like she put me in my place. I come in here often and this chick name Laura or why it says in the receipt has a face that she doesn't like working there. After she rang me up I walked away until she started laughing and talking to the other person at the cash wrap. When I asked for her manager she pointed to the girl standing next to her which I know for sure isn't her manager cause how she handle the situation was completely unprofessional. I'm not sure where the hiring manager found these girls but something needs to be done. The way the "manager" said I'm sorry was so passive aggressive. This is the closes Carter's to where i live and my son has worn carters since he was born but I refuse to shop at this store anymore. There are other stores that sell baby clothes. Carter's deals have really gotten more expensive over the last couple of years. You used to need 75 points for a $10 reward and now you need 150 points for the same reward. Then they tell you you can earn twice as many points if you sign up for their credit card so now they have all of your data too for the same merchandise as before. I only buy something at Carter's now if its too cute to pass up. I no longer do large orders, just gets too expensive and I liked being able to spend $100 and then go back and get the $10 free thing. Now you have to spend $150 to get that. Meh.. read more

This placed is really nice! I used to go to vacaville outlet just for this store because they have good deals...so i was so excited to find out that they have one in my area!! They sell Carter's brand at many other stores, but you would be stupid to buy them anywhere else at the suggested retail prices, because they ALWAYS have a sale going on here! These people are frauds. They take forever to ship and they mark items as shipped when they just print a label even if it takes several additional days before they deliver to the shipper. I still don't have anything from them. After my initial review I received a message from Nikki W. who asked that I call Doni or Leanna in Consumer Affairs at 888.782.9548. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes I hung up. I also took a survey they previously sent to me in which I requested that someone call me. They never called.
