Well-worn Gravity Defy sneakers from Foot Solutions in Largo, FL

I was in desperate need of a good shoe for being on my feet on concrete all day as a retail worker. I had gone through ASICS, Brooks, various inserts, all on my own without instruction. (All great shoes but my hurting feet needed more specialized help at the time). THEN I went to FOOT SOLUTIONS and met Barbara Boger - the Fitting Specialist at that store. (She is now retired but may be coming back on Saturday's this summer of 2023.) SHE SPENT OVER AN HOUR with me. She measured my feet with this special contraption they have and explained how very important it is to TIE YOUR SHOES and UNTIE YOUR SHOES to avoid breaking the heal and keeping them perfectly fit to your feet. As a shoe "slipper-oner" I always shoved my feet in already tied shoes so this was NOT fun to get used to. LOL I'm lazy. HOWEVER, I followed her instructions to the T. She also recommended personally fitting orthotics but I didn't want to spent that much just yet. (I probably should have but I wanted to see how these worked first). They were AWESOME!!! I've worn them over a year now and I'm ready for a new pair. These have served me well! THANK YOU BARBARA BOGER for taking the time necessary to fit my feet, explain what I needed and guiding me through this process. YOU ARE THE BEST!! Attached to this review is my well-worn dirty work shoes after over a year of being beat up. And yes, a couple months ago, because they were well worn in, I got lazy and became a "slipper-oner again". Definitely time for new shoes!

I probably only stopped by once to stop by a restaurant previously; however, this past weekend, I found myself stopping by there to visit Sole Sports. I recently learned that I needed stability running shoes to complement my orthotics. When I entered Sole Sports, I met Jess right away who fully understood exactly what I needed. She measured my feet and asked me a bunch of questions. Then, she brought out various pairs of shoes and walked me through trying them on with my orthotics. I learned that I should be considering a shoe size a half-size larger than what I thought I needed. That certainly made a huge difference! I got some good ideas of what I wanted to do moving forward, and while the prices seemed quite a bit more than what they are online (similar to any physical store), they offered me a discount since I was referred to Sole Sports by a doctor. Sole Sports is a locally owned, specialty running and walking store based in Phoenix. They strive to be an alternative to big box stores and online shopping. In addition to offering a wide variety of running and walking gear, they host weekly training runs, support local running clubs & youth programs, sponsor local races and donate a lot of money back into our local community. You can learn more about Sole Sports by going to their website (https://solesports.runfreeproject.com) where you can shop online, find out about training programs, locate all five of their stores, better understand the fit process, learn about upcoming events, and read up on blog entrees. This particular location is open on weekdays from 10 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. Just as Sole Sports strives to do, I experienced top-notch service while checking out quality products. I plan on returning to Sole Sports in the future!

It's a 45 min mat pilates class taught by Abby and Melanie. May 30th was their last rooftop class for now until it gets cooler out again. My cousins happened to find the event and 4 of us joined since there was a 2 for 1 deal (about $11 each!). It was my first time taking a mat pilates class and I loved it, minus the burning sun part. If this were in spring or fall, it would be perfect! I parked one below in the shade and as soon as I walked up, I could already hear the music the dj had on and it was just my kinda music. Surrounding the grass area were different vendors including Starbucks, a matcha bar, skin care, tarot, gummies, protein bars, bread and cookies, women's health, massages, IV shots, health coaching and merch. The details of the event didn't say to bring our own mat so two of us forgot to pack one. Luckily, the instructors had a bunch of extras for anyone who forgot. They also provided bands for everyone. Those bands killed us. You'll feel the burn the next day. In fact, my whole body was sore for a few days and I started feeling it already that same night. After the class ended, we browsed the vendors. I purchased some gummies (hair/nails and energy), had a quick tarot reading done, grabbed some freebies and 2purchased matchas. Would love to take more mat pilates classes in the future
