My 89 year old mother had an appointment with Dr. Nadeem Vaidya for Wednesday January 23rd, 2013 at 1040. She is legally blind. Despite a written appointment slip from her last appointment clearly showing the 1/23/13 appointment, she was told that she had no appointment that day. The appointment slip does warn to allow approximately two hours for an office visit, but she arrived at 1015 for a 1040 visit and was not treated and ready to leave until 2:15, after much begging and pleading. She weighs 94 lbs. She was given nothing to eat or drink until she was nearly in tears and begging the receptionist to just call for her ride to go home, never mind seeing the doctor. She told the receptionist at least twice that she didn't feel well. At that point, a receptionist offered her a glass of water. She was light headed and had to use the restroom, but was afraid she'd miss her name being called. At 12:45, she asked receptionist to call for her ride to go home and was told she was next and to wait just 15 minutes. She went up again at 1:15 and was told the same. She finally got called in to see the doctor at around 1:45. (She had been called to the window twice to ask her again about her appointment - again- she had a slip from them showing her appointment for that day at 10:40.) To the doctors credit, he at least realized that she was on the brink of passing out and sent the technichian to get her a glucose tablet, some chex mix, and more water. Then, to add insult to injury, the blonde-haired receptionist came into the room to scold her about knowing she needed to allow 2 hours for a visit- this after arriving at the office at 10:15 and it was now 2:00! The office was more concerned with her being there when they didn't think she had an appointment, despite having their appointment slip clearly stating that she DID have an appointment when she said she did. My mother also experienced heart palpitations from her ill treatment, having to wait FOUR HOURS, with literally only 'bread and water' and that only after begging. Despite all attempts to contact their office, I was told by Liz that the office manager, Sue, would probably not be in today and would not be able to get back to me in the near future. She did take a message. I asked for other contact information, such as an email for either the office or the office manager, Sue, but was told they were working on getting an email. Huh? I was very disappointed at the treatment my mother received. She could have died in their waiting room, and they would have been none the wiser, being more concerned that she was taking up space when they thought she shouldn't be there. I will be contacting our family attorney. read more

I have been coming to Foothill Eye Medical Group for awhile and have seen both of these physicians and have always received quality care. Dr. Jessica Wong is very professional, and unlike most doctors she truly cares about her patients - more than required. I would also like to give a "Shout Out" to Kim, Sonya, Stephanie, LEO, Rosa, and LaTisha (I apologize if I misspelled your name). These individuals are EXCEPTIONAL!!!! This place needs to be shut down! My mom has macular degeneration, she no longer can work. Trying to get the disabilty paperwork filled out is completey ridiculous! The office is so unorganized, the office staff is rude no clue what they are doing!! The files for the paitents are scattered all over this office, it's a mess. The disabilty paperwork was so outdated the disabilty dept would not accept it. It took my mom well over a month to have the dr sign it. They also misplaced the folder! I would not recommend this place to anyone!! I wouldn't give this dr office a 1 star!!!! read more

I can't thank Dr. Rui Zhang enough I am very lucky I was referred to her for ophthalmology for Strabismus Surgery Dr. Zhang specializes in. I was not born with Strabismus never even heard of it and at 63 years old it came on suddenly possibly related to my Graves' Thyroid disease from decades ago. When you look at me you cannot tell that I have Strabismus because my eyes look normal so it was a very tricky procedure because it's thyroid related. Dr. Zhang communicated every detail to me so I understood what was going on with my eyes and my surgery. The professionalism and personalize care is why I am writing this. I normally don't recommend people or things but my surgery was very successful and I feel blessed that I was in the her care. It's been one week after my surgery double vision almost completely gone 90% improved and it's only been a week thank you so much Dr. Zhang.. I also have to say great staff from everyone to the front desk to the pre-op nurses I am a very lucky happy grandma I can now pick up my grandchildren and feel like I can drive safely read more

Dr. Ron Gutmark performed my cataract surgery, Monday Dec. 16, 2019, @2:30pm. He was gracious and comforting. I've been going to the Glendora Office for about a year now. I have never had a long wait quite the contrary, this is perhaps the most punctual medical office I have ever been to. The staff is great from receptionist staff to assistant/tech Gary to Dr. Savetsky. I can only hope my other doctors office's can be as timely with meeting patients assigned appointment time. Dr. Sevetsky has a great attitude, is helpful and ask a lot of question instead of just wanting to write a script and get you out the door. read more

I was scheduled to have my eye measured for cataract surgery. My appointment was for 2:00 p.m. While I was enroute to the office, at 1:20 p.m., the office called me and cancelled my appointment due to the technician not showing up. I had to reschedule for the next week. I realize that things come up but I believe that the office should have called me early in the day instead of waiting for 40 minutes before my appointment. That, to me, is very poor customer service. If I had cancelled on them, 40 minutes before the appointment, do you think they would have billed my insurance. Me thinks, yes.... read more

Came with my Dad to see Dr. Savetsky. We were running 15 min late and the receptionist was super nice and did not make us feel bad about it. Yes, the appointment was long, about 2 hrs, but we were told ahead of time, so we knew what to expect. The receptionist, techs, and Dr.'s were all great. We were BOTH happy. read more

A screw fell out of my glasses and I showed them to the receptionist. She wasn't sure she could fix them so I left them with her for 10 minutes while I made a visit to one of my doctors in the same building when I came back my glasses were not only fixed but they were polished and cleaned as well what amazing service such a kind person to do so much and the best thing is she didn't charge me a dime! Awful by all accounts. In sum, this office is outdated, unhelpful, neglectful and bureaucratic. They certainly do not seem to care about my or anyone else's quality of care. I have a relatively rare degenerative eye disease and was referred here to checkup on the progression of the disease and to make sure I didn't have any secondary complications. To begin with, the interior design is completely thoughtless for a vision clinic. The lighting is far too dim and provides little contrast. The chairs are extremely close together making it difficult for a fully sighted person to navigate, let alone anyone with vision problems, whom one would think would be the primary clientele at an ophthalmologist's office. My case was given to a brand new doctor, Dr. Pai, who had never had a patient with my condition. She was the one bright point in my dealings with this office, and I hope she is able to move on to a better employer soon. Unfortunately, because she was unable to answer the majority of my questions, she referred me to their retina specialist, Dr. Mehran Taban. Avoid this doctor at all costs. He was dismissive of my experiences, research, and concerns and ignorant of the latest treatment protocols for my condition. At one point I asked him to describe the parameters used in the visual field test they had done that declared me legally blind, as this makes a difference when applying for social security. He responded, "why would you want to know that?" and then could not answer the question--he did not know what I was talking about. He also casually informed that I was developing cataracts but did not give me any information about how developed they were, ask me how they were affecting my vision, or inform me of my treatment options. I asked him to fill out a 1 page referral to the Braille Institute, but he refused and said Dr. Pai could do it, even though she wasn't there that day and would have to fax it to me. I asked Dr. Pai to give me a referral to a specialist for my specific condition since I had developed some complications and was told that her boss, Dr. Kislinger would have to review my case before she could do that and this would take 3 weeks. Meanwhile my vision's getting worse... I have since been working with the department of rehabilitation to get orientation and mobility training and my primary care doctor to get a new specialist, and it has been impossible to get my medical records released from these people. Why? I don't know. Maybe they're not used to dealing with anyone young and savvy enough to advocate for themselves (I haven't seen any patients under the age of 60, and many of them can't read the documents they are given to sign). read more

My mom brought my grandmother Rose in yesterday for an eye exam. My grandma has a medical condition which makes it hard to communicate with her and requires a lot of patience. The staff, especially Leticia, Gracie and Erica were amazing with her and took all the time needed to get her through the exam with patience and understanding. They were very accommodating and helped get her in quickly without rushing her through things. To the staff and Dr. Lindsay who made my grandma's appointment go so smoothly, I just wanted to say thank you, it can be extremely difficult getting her through check ups due to her condition but your exemplary work made it easy. read more

I have been under the treatment of Dr. Pae for periferal retinal detachment. I feel like she is very thorough and she takes the time to explain what is happening and why. My overall experience is that she is a good doctor. As mentioned before, the admin staff are not very good. They said they would call my primary care physician to update my referral because Dr. Pae wanted to continue to evaluate my condition. When it came time for the next appointment they had not done this and they told me to call my primary care physician myself. Normally it is not a problem but he had already left for the day. The result was I had to reschedule my appointment with Dr. Pae. But the staff is very efficient at collecting my copay. They never forget that. read more

I had an appointment at foothill eye medical group in Glendora several weeks ago, it was the worst office I have ever been to. The office is old, dirty, and extremely outdated. That office is infested with ants, it's so disgusting I even brought some home. There are way too many people in that tiny dirty office. It is so packed that as you walk through the halls it is crowed with people just standing there. There are no bathrooms. They provide no water or mints to keep up your blood sugar. The waiting time is way too long, you are waiting way too long for such a short appointment with the doctor. The office staff are unprofessional and unorganized. I was greeted by a loud and obnoxious lady with purple eye shadow all over her face. I believe her name was Melissa, she was extremely rude and short with me. I came in for my appointment and I was told that I was not on the schedule. I said no and I have the conformation voicemail from this office the previous day, I even played it for them. They were forced to accommodate my appointment after trying really hard to dismiss me. As I sat in the waiting room I over heard the staff inappropriately talking about another patient. I was displeased by this and couldn't believe that this was allowed. This really made me feel uncomfortable. I was seen by Dr. Pie she was great, she was so patient and kind to me. I would love to go back to see Dr. Pie If she wasn't at that office. After I was seen by Dr. Pie I asked to speak to the manager to let her know about the lack of organization in the office and the office staff inappropriately talking about another patient. The office manager is a rude unprofessional older women that looked malnourished and has thinning burnt hair, I believe her name was sue. The office manager sue was so rude to me and kept brushing me off like she didn't have time for me. Then when I was making my follow up appointment a girl with a squeaky voice kept calling me Hun. I had to tell her my name isn't hun. This office is worst office I have been to. The office staff need to take a course in customer service a well as patient privacy! I will never go back to this office it's poorly ran and has rude office staff. I will not recommend this office to anyone. If you go there beware the office staff will bad mouth you in front of other patients. read more
