I brought a 1 year old Bissell Spinwave Mop here. It was barely used, but 1 side wasn't rotating freely. They said it was fixed. I paid $40, took it home. It wasn't fixed. I took it back, then they said it was fixed. It wasn't. I ordered a replacement disk from Bissell, only to Thats when I could see they "fixed it" by changing the screw so it really wasn't spinning freely. Got the pieces from Bissell only to find out they also changed the anchor piece that the screw attaches to so even this doesn't work. Foothill Vacuum didn't actually fix my vacuum, so I can't speak on that. My review is only about their response time and follow through, which was awful. I called several times over the last month trying to find out if they could fix my vacuum. I was only able to reach him once, and was told he would call me back, but he didn't. I host on AirBnB, so I can't be without a vacuum cleaner for a month. Like I said, I'm glad I went ahead and bought a new vacuum cleaner after dropping my old one off there over a month ago. Came in 7/30/18 to get a new hoes for my vacuum which had a cut in the pipe. They said they had a used one for me to buy. I brought in the broken hoes, they looked at it, fixed the cut and said it would work like new. Didn't even charge me. Great honest guys. I had to find a vacuum repair place when my eleven year old Hoover started billowing smoke. I debated whether to buy a new one but decided to try to repair it first as they don't make them like they used to. I found Foothill and was lucky with street parking right outside the repair center. I dropped my Hoover off in the afternoon, they called the next day with the repair estimate and said it would be ready for pickup the following afternoon. They fixed the motor, belt and serviced the vacuum cleaner for $40. The suction is more powerful and works much better than before. They take credit cards but being a small local business, I gave them cash. Their work also comes with a 10-day guarantee. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed they had added replacement extension wands and crevice tools to the side of the upright vacuum cleaner. The extension tools they provided were not new but it was very thoughtful of them to add these at no charge. Fast excellent service, highly recommended. read more

THE OWNER IS SUUUUPER SHADY!!!! Do not go here!!!!! My Vacuum suddenly started making a loud noise, (from the motor.) This was about 6 months ago. So I took it in, he charged me $40 telling me the fan was broken. When I went to pick it up, he showed me "the broken piece." Well my machine started doing it again last week, I took the machine apart myself completely this time, which was really easy, and lo and behold, there WAS NOT ONE PIECE THAT RESEMBLED THE PIECE THE OWNER CLAIMED TO HAVE REPLACED!!!!! I found the problem out online ( a cracked fan.) He never changed it, I saw glue marks on it. I am buying a new one online $10. 95 (totalvac.com) I can do this myself! I've used Foothill Vacuum Cleaner Center shop on Fruitvale next to St. Jarlath's church for many years now and have always felt good about their service. However, I recently took my Dyson cordless in because it wasn't running. After 2 weeks, I still hadn't received a call back re: an estimate. I called them and found they hadn't even checked into it. After another week and no call back I called a second time and they gave me an estimate of $129 for a new battery. I decided not to do the work. When I went down to pick up my cordless vacuum the long tubular piece was all scratched up. I was so disappointed and will need to find another local business to support. read more

He threw my unassembled vacuum cleaner in a box and insisted all the pieces were there and told me if I wanted it reassembled it would be $30. Don't use this business.
