    Red flag

Spent two hours this time to get an allergy shot just for them to deny serving my dog because his skin was irritated yet when they treated him last time it was way worse off and they still did it. You have incompetent staff who doesn't know what they are doing or what they are talking about and are sitting behind the front desk ordering takeout and gigling about whose appointments they should cancels which is very nasty. When you treated our dogs last time it didn't work clearly and you still charged $600.

I was not influenced to write this review. This is based off of my own thoughts. I brought my dog here because he was having a hard time walking, he was not eating, and I could tell something was off about him. I recommend coming here with an appointment so you don't have to wait that long. Oreo and I were taken in and we only waited about 15-20 minutes to be seen by the doctor. Dr. Brian is extremely knowledgeable and professional. As he was observing Oreo, he was making sure Oreo felt safe and comfortable even if it was scary. He explained Oreo's condition to me clearly, showed me the X-rays and explained, and gave me all the options for his treatment. I really appreciate the staff here. I highly recommend bringing your dogs here. I trust them with my furry babies.

The receptionists are pretty worthless and rude. Doctors won't talk to you and take forever, even with appointments.

When a family…read moreemergency called me away on a Thurs nite, I was majorly stressing over whether I could find a sitter on short notice. I'm so lucky to have found Aaron; he was totally accommodating, and within 90 minutes I had my rescue beagle settled in at his place. There were a few other dogs there, and I could tell that they were happy and well-cared for. During my trip, I got regular photos and updates, without even having to ask. My lil girl was having the time of her life, even though she usually has major separation anxiety when I leave. 10/10 will board here again.

The bottom line: Foothill Feed came through for my bunnies when Red Barn left me holding bags of,…read moreliterally, 'rotten' hay and did NOTHING to try to help ensure the bunnies had food. PLEASE READ MY RED BARD REVIEW - IT'S CHILLING... I was told by a Red Barn employee no hay would be delivered until Tuesday, 12-22-20, without exception, though I begged and begged and begged. Are those the words of someone who feels 'more special' than anyone else? Desperate to have edible hay delivered for the bunnies to eat as quickly as possible, I found a resource. Six days with no hay can be very damaging to a bunny's GI. Very stressful, I was able to obtain a temporary fix - a long story no one would find helpful or interesting. Exasperated, I called Foothill Feed and spoke with a man, Mr. Gus. I told him my issue, ad nauseum, because he truly needed to understand my bleak situation. He understood, and Mr. Gus offered a wonderful solution even though delivery was not available until Monday, 12-21-20. Guess what? After a brief call early that day, Mr. Gus took my demographics, expressed delivery would be sometime that day, and he would call me to confirm. He didn't...BUT Mr. Gus did one better; I received a lot of fresh, fragrant, edible hay early afternoon! I was near tears, the customer service was so amazing. Mr. Gus hadn't taken my credit card information during our call earlier, trusting I would make good. He wanted to make sure his hay was up to my and, more importantly, my children's standards. Not many, if any, retailers, would offer such service! When I called to provide credit card information, I told Mr. Gus how pleased my children were with the hay and how they gobbled it as soon as I presented it to them. Foothill Feed now has a long-term customer. I do not feel self-entitled in any way as told to me by Red Barn but circumstances WERE/ARE. This is the major point ignored by Red Barn. Please do yourself a favor...the next time you need something for your furry loved one, call Foothill Feed, and ask for Mr. Gus or Mr. Eli. You will be treated with the respect a retailer should provide but will feel the level of care for your needs without drama. Foothill Feed is AMAZING! THANK YOU FOR YOUR CARE, MR. GUS!!!

The female I can only describe has having ptsd - it sounds like exaggeration- shaking which she did not before . Cages - nobody cleaning up messes, it's too hard to even write Most rescues And people who feel guilty for trusting the dogs to him too now are aware of who he is and speaking out -would never allow an animal in his care his only clients were rescues because he was cheap not because he was capable at all -but it's not worth it. To start, Everyone has their own experiences and expectancy from places that are suppose to care…read morefor their pet/s while they are away. I'm a rescue that came here to pick up a dog that was abandoned in boarding or at least that's what I was told her story was. This is my experience, again MY experience, just picking up and being in the front of the building. I can see that this place is not a having a yard for them to run sort of place so if you have a dog with allot of energy that needs a yard or to go to the park daily or a few times a week you should choose another facility. I saw at least 10 dogs go out for their walks and back and the walks seem to be more for just letting them potty rather than getting out their energy. They are FILLED with energy even coming back from the walk. The lobby did smell! You can say all you want that there are allot of dogs there of course it's going to smell, of dog, right? no, I own my own rescue and still am able to keep our place smelling like a normal home without any pets. It's allot of work but necessary to make sure they don't get sick or the people visiting don't get sick or assume we don't care for our pets cause of cleanliness. It didn't just smell like wet dog it smelled like wet dirty dog. I have visited quite a few boarding facilities that did not make me want to hold my breath the whole time I was inside. It was gross and hard to stand but I was not leaving without the dog I came to take in. Milan was not at the facility when I arrived so I can't say much for his ways other than he's not always prepared and on top of things. We had made arrangements ahead of time for me to pick up this dog and the guy at the front didn't know what I was talking about I waited an extra hour before Milan actually answered his phone to let the guy know it was ok for me to get her. Shouldn't he had already known if we had this all planned out that a rescue was going to be picking her up? I mean it seems like it would be the professional thing to me. As for how he treats the dogs I could not say because I have yet to actually meet him in person or be aloud into the back. Speaking of not being let into the back. It seemed kinda shady to me that the guy up front was very strong about me not seeing where the dogs stayed. He made sure to squeeze the dogs through for their walks so I couldn't see past and had a kinda confused and freaked out look on his face when I asked. I don't know any facility that does not let people see where the dogs stay! Maybe this is something they do in the LA area but we do not do things that way in NorCal. Even rescue boarding facilities that don't have yards out here let you see the kennels, do not smell very strongly of dogs and prepared and on top of things. They keep up with grooming them as well. On to my next note. When I finally got the dog she was FULL of energy leaping at me to leave and very excited to be in the car. When we took our pit stop for a potty and food break I took a look at her body to see if there was anything amiss and well she had scrapes on her underside of her hind legs that I then realized was from scratching herself with her hawk like nails that seemed to never had been trimmed the whole time she was there. They say they groom. When I got her home to our 2 acres of land and tried to run her she wouldn't leave my side she was skittish of men and once I took her for a good walk she's been very calm every since and well behaved outside of barking and being skittish around men. Kids she LOVES she was licking all over our neighbors son's face when they arrived but grown men she didn't seem very fond of. which also made me a little concerned about this facilities she was being kept at. It's said that their fears are worked on and yet she didn't want to be near the guy holding her lead and barked and seemed to hide near me when she saw a grown man get close to us. It's said they are well cared for and groom dogs yet when I gave her a bath the water was so dark brown it could be black, I had to give her an extra scrub and rinse, as well as the fact that her nails were unhealthily long! She had been limping a little and found out why when I saw the state of her nails. SO much loose hair came off of her when I brushed her which is what made me decide on a bath sooner than later. She did seem to be fed well. The guy at the front had said she was a problem for milan, I asked "why, does she have behavior problems?" and he said "no, just problems I don't know specifically". You are in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly while milan is away and don't know why she is a problem for him? On their card it states... Top Dog Resort www.topdogresort.biz boarding, training, doggy daycare, Grooming 818-898-9663 11401 llex ave San Fernando, CA 91340 for that other person that posted I see that you like this place but he states he's a DOGGY DAYCARE! so don't go saying it's not suppose to be a daycare when it's stated on the card.
