Both the coffee and pastries are good quality and have a nice taste; however, they both are a tad overpriced in comparison to other items of the same quality available in the city. Ambiance & comfort excellent. Pastries are very good. Meals are overpriced. Male employees work while the female employees are overly busy chatting with each other and interacting with their cell phones. Great, convenient location for Rosslyn residents, for people who work in the hi-rises, and for access to the Metro station. Good stop for tourists using the Metro to see the Iwo Jima Memorial, Netherlands Carillon, & views from those grounds. Very comfy Interior seating with lots of natural light, outlets for recharging or for staying connected while working. Clean rest rooms. read more

For Five Coffee roasters just opened in Rosslyn. A proper coffee shop is a much needed addition to the Rosslyn area where previously only a subpar shop and fast food chain coffees were available. I ordered an espresso and a spinach pie. Not only did the staff lose my ticket for an espresso but the espresso tasted really sour for some reason. The spinach pie was also just ok and pretty greasy. I'll chalk most of this up to opening jitters and give it another go in a few months when they get the Kinks out of their process. The interior of the shop is very well sleek and modern looking with a brown, white and grey motif. I could definitely see this as a potential meeting place for a client. P.S. I was suprised to see that the store offers a full menu of made to order breakfast and lunch items including instagram worthy jiggly, puffy pancakes. read more

I was wonder close by and saw the sing for their cookies, I love bakign and i am always looking to try new baked goods for inspiration. I ordered a red velvet cookie and a caramel apple cookie, I also ordered a cortado. The total was $19, each cookie is $6+ which is normal for the big stuffed cookies. The coffee was great but the cookies were just okay. Red Velvet is just vanilla dough dye pink with a tiny piece of "cheesecake", the cookie are very soft and if you like more of a cakey cookie you will enjoy it. The caramel apple cookies was better, it had some nice warm spice flavor and oats in it. It had a tiny piece of apple, i kind of wish it had more. But this cookie has inspired me to search for apple cookie. read more

After five days going to a bunch of restaurants in our visit in Arlington, this is the place by far that change my mind about the customer service, the food and people from here (Arlington). Bad experiences in the others restaurants but in here was perfect. Good atmosphere, clean and modern, prices are considerable good for a healthy food. The portions are good for the price. The greetings for this three beautiful ladies Nicole, Gabriela and Nadia, it was amazing. They were very helpful, happy and respectful, which all this combine makes me to come back! I thoroughly enjoy this place. The staff is always friendly and the food is made to order. Whenever I'm in the office, I come and see what types of cakes they have. I have tried so many cakes and cookies and have never been disappointed. For food items I have only tried the salmon toast, and the artisanal breakfast sandwich. Food and drinks are pricy, yes, but it's DC, and overall it's pretty good. Very spacious upstairs! Nicely decorated. I want to keep coming back. BUT, my only complaint is the music. I'm pretty chill but I could hear it through my headphones as if I was at a club. I could tell I wasn't the only one because I locked eyes with another random customer upstairs in the sitting area and we both kind of gestured to each other the music was TOO LOUD. Guys, please, lower the volume a bit! I really like everything else about this place and want to make it a regular study area. This space is uncontested in the rosslyn area for a good ambience, space, seating, location, for studying/hanging out/ group studying. It would seem a waste to have such a great space but have too loud music that I can barely hear my friends who I'm talking to right next to me. read more

Matcha Latte was absolutely awful, i've never had such bad matcha. It tastes a bit burnt and was grainy. Also, was super milky. However, my sister's hot chocolate was pretty good. DONT get the matcha latte!! read more

Bought a strawberry cream cookie only to find mold growing inside... do yourself a favor and carefully look at your food before consuming. If you order a cookie, break it in half. This is horrendous. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

I was so exited to try a new coffee spot so I saw I was close and picked For Five. I walked in and the place was nice and clean, very promising. However, the service was so bad and the person who took my order was rude and looked miserable. He took my coffee order and put it down as a large when I did not ask for a large. in fact, he did not ask me what size I wanted at all. it was 9 DOLLARS. I accepted my fate thinking it would be amazing coffee but it was actually super bad. Like one of the worse coffees I've have ever and I've tried a lot of different places. They charge a 4% "operational charge" on all purchases which is not disclosed in advance. The cashier could not explain this charge to me. I would have asked for a refund, but then saw a sign saying "no refunds" as they don't stand by their product. Coffee and food were disappointing. This place could be great. It is a nice setting and the quality of food and drink is good. Unfortunately, the prices are sky high. Like really obscene. This isn't the Four Seasons. I got a tea. Just a medium tea bag tea for over $5. Then, the breakfast sandwich cost over $18. It was a decent sized sandwich but it didn't even include any meat. Im not sure who will be willing to pay these prices on a consistent basis but it isn't me. read more
