I love how they have a bar area, couches, outdoor and regular tables as options of seating. They have high tables as well. It was busy when I visited yet the place was still clean and organized. The woman who took my order was pleasant and that was appreciated. My Dona Chai (chai latte) was okay. I've had more hearty ones. It seemed watery to me. There were so many options of drinks and pastries which was great. I ordered the Avodaise Eggs Benedict BLT and it was good. The portion was satisfying and there was good flavor. I was able to get my eggs customized because the menu offers it as poached. It was scrambled perfectly. The hollandaise sauce was avocado infused and it was amazing. Well prepared. This place is a scam. My large cold brew and yogurt bowl came to $30. The yogurt bowl is advertised as $15 something on the printed menu but I was charged $19. Photos are what is advertised vs what I got :( It was a bowl of plain yogurt with some plain granola, some almond silvers, 6 blueberries, 2 sliced strawberries and a sliced banana. It says it comes with chia seeds and hemp seeds -- none on it. The granola tasted plain like Nature Valley granola you get at the store, not "chocolate coffee granola" as advertised (and definitely looks different than photo). It tasted fine but I'm guessing the whole thing costs a few dollars to make. It should be $8-10 instead, if that. Cold brew also doesn't taste great They also charge a 4% service fee on top of their exorbitant prices! Damn, got a large green matcha latte here and I think i got robbed. Wait no, i know i got robbed. I know it's normal to charge for Oatmilk but also got charged for syrup. It was decent but was almost 10$ and mostly filled with ice which tasted watered down eventually. There was a 4% charge regardless if you pay with cash or card, what the heck? This was my second visit and was just as impressed as the time prior. This is the ultimate coffee shop cafe with a range of drink and made to order food. They have outdoor seating in both the front and back and abundant indoor seating. We ordered the avodaise eggs Benedict BLT and the BLT sandwich. Both were generous portions and had delicious flavor. The maple bacon was perfectly cooked on both and added a delicious salty sweetness into each bite. We also ordered a matcha latte and cappuccino which were great complements to the meal. So yes, you definitely get your money's worth in the $3.00 cup, but they charge a few cents for cream. I wasn't bothered though, this coffee was so full of rich flavor, I would have gladly paid more. Check the shelf near the restroom for a variety of full bean house blends for purchase. If you are as hungry as a hostage, I recommend you order the Country Style Breakfast Plate. It includes scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, seared tomatoes, sliced avocado (a half of an avocado) , three slices of Canadian bacon, and two pieces of fried Halloumi Cheese. Now guys this is easily enough food for two, and if we are feeding children, three, so it is well worth the price point. The avocado toast was beautiful, I observed it from another diner at the table, across from me. And while I don't enjoy poached eggs, these were nestled like a sleeping bird in a nest of lettuce, the presentation alone made me want to try them. Yes, you will find a nice selection of cakes and pastries, I advise you to give them a try because they looked scrumptious and freshly baked. I am not often on this side of New York, but when I am, I enjoy different spots, especially those with a nice cup of coffee, and this guys was a winner and worth the stop. I'm not going to Starbucks, there are too many good coffee roasters. I had For Five in Manhasset and loved it. To see them open a large cafe-coffee house makes my heart flutter. When you first walk in, I felt like I was in a IKEA commercial. Beautifully decorated space with couches as well as various size tables. I arrived about 11:45 and the place was packed out. I came for coffee but when I saw the menu, it came as a shock. On the breakfast side, you can order Peach French Toast to Churro Pancakes and on the lunch side are entrees like the B.L.A.T sandwich which is maple glazed, thick cut bacon, L. Avocado and T. That sounds like a winner for sure! I chose the Breakfast Sando: Two Scrambled Eggs, Sauteed Spinach, Tomato, Roasted Red Onions, and Sriracha Sauce all held together with a Semolina Roll. I popped into Five Coffee Roasters earlier this week for some coffee and after perusing their extensive menu, ended up grabbing lunch. I ordered the acai bowl and besides being absolutely delicious.. it was sooo darn photogenic! It looked so much like a piece of art that I legit felt a little guilty piercing it with my spoon. Since my seat had an outlet right below me, I couldn't help but break out my laptop and get some work done. I at least 8 several others working from here as well so I didn't feel too out of place doing so. They even have bussers coming around clearing tables, which you don't often see in coffee shops! I stopped by the new For Five in Garden City a week after they first opened. I asked the gentleman behind the counter what he would recommend I eat and he suggested the chickpea salad sandwich. I also said "give me the strongest, boldest drip coffee you have. Black." THE GROWS: The menu is not posted above to peruse while you wait on line to order. Instead, laminated menus are right by the register. This created a sense of panic for me since I didn't want to be the reason the line got held up. Would be a good idea to have menus accessible elsewhere or have a QR code people could scan. Also, wifi password isn't publicized. Make that easier for patrons. People who stay and do online work tend to buy more than one cup of coffee (at least I do). THE GLOWS: They have wifi and you can work there. It's a large space and somewhat noisy, but I anticipated when kids go back to school, it's a place someone could work if you don't mind a high energy spot. Their drip coffee was memorable. Next time I'm trying a latte. The chickpea salad blew me away. Fresh and flavorful. They're cool about recycling and have receptacles for both landfill and recycling labeled. There's ample seating and the type of decor you'd find in someone's home. Seating is flexible: high top tables, couches, arm chairs, typical tables and chairs, outdoor seating. Their outdoor seating area is right on 7th street, a very nice block with lots of activity yet no crazy traffic. Plenty of parking in the free lot across the street or on-street, if available. There is a coffee competitor across the street, but For Five is definitely a step above, offering a full menu which includes a spicy pasta dish and many vegetarian/vegan options.
