It really made a very difficult situation so much easier. I do not like to think about what the alternative would have been like in a world without Autumn of Life. We all want the very best for our loved ones. AoL realizes this and did everything in their power to get us the services we needed to keep my loved one comfortable. Chris was and is very thorough with an almost intuitive approach in customizing his services that met my needs. Most importantly, I asked if they were in network with my insurance and they said yes., but then I got a $150 bill in the mail from them for a piece of paper that said what I already know. I've never had to pay anywhere near that much whenever I go to an in network urgent care so I don't think they accept Aetna. Will die first before I return here.

My parents have lived there a year and a half and enjoyed group outings to the Columbia Gorge, the Portland Art Museum, and local vineyards. They also have great in-house programs including daily exercise class, movies, interesting lectures and celebrations, weekly happy hour on Fridays, and a wonderful resident garden area on the 4th floor terrace where people can sign up for their own little garden space. It has drip irrigation in all the plots so it's easy, low maintenance for everyone. They have shaded seating areas, too, so it's a great place to bring a book and cup of coffee or gather with friends. If you are looking for a nice place to live, easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants, and only a block to Good Sam Hospital then this is definitely a good choice! The only drawback is they don't have progressive care, so if you need or anticipate the need for additional care you will have to hire people to come in or move. We chose to hire extra help because the atmosphere is so nice and when my dad passed away recently the residents and staff have really rallied around my mom. They get an A for effort and going above and beyond what is expected.

That was a mistake…read more After several few months of waiting we got a phone appointment with someone at Morrison to talk about wanting therapy for our son. Then we were put on another waiting list to wait for a telephone intake appointment. Weeks later, we had the telephone intake and filled out many many pages of paperwork explaining why we're worried about our son. Then we got put on another long waiting list, which we thought was for our son to finally start therapy. (We were losing confidence by this point we thought we needed a backup plan--we got on the waiting list for another clinic.) When the week finally came to see a therapist we learned the appointment wasn't actually to see a therapist, it was to meet in person with yet another intake person, to repeat what we already said and wrote about why we want therapy for our son. We were told that after that face to face intake meeting we would be put on another waiting list to get referred to a therapist. Fortunately the other clinic came through as we past the third month mark and sat on our fourth Morrison waiting list. We felt completely defeated by Morrison and enrolled at the other clinic. If they can't help customers get connected to a therapist in a timely manner, it doesn't matter how skilled their therapists are.

There were a couple of things that happened, but the worst of it was our chef served us raw chicken. We were told the chicken was fully cooked so we didn't think twice before sitting down to eat it. It was heavy sauced and the chicken was in small pieces so we couldn't tell the meat was raw until it was too late. I immediately contacted Sage and they were much more concerned about a review than they were our potentially getting sick. On that same cook date, the chef broke our stovetop. He used it the entire day cooking and at the end of the day I heard him trying to start the ignitor a couple of times, so I checked it after he left. It only partially ignited so I contacted him and asked about it. He said there may be some "debris in the passage" and included a DYI video link on how to fix it. It's a gas stovetop so I'm not comfortable DIY'ing it and hired someone to come out and fix it. I mentioned this to Sage and sent them the $428 bill, which is hardly a big ask given they broke it and just exposed us to food poisoning. Sage refused to pay for the stovetop repair, saying we couldn't prove the chef broke it. It's $428. The chef cooked that day and it worked, he left it didn't work AND more importantly you exposed us to food poisoning. Are you serious? Twice we got emails from Sage implying that they might cover these expenses if we removed our review. Doing the right thing and taking responsibility should not be tied to a review status and their request should be kept in mind when reading the other reviews. We did not agree and have since gotten word that they aren't covering the stove, as mentioned above. The only thing they did in the end was not charge us for the cook date when we were given the raw chicken. Even that they implied was a favor since the bad chicken only represented 1/4 of the meals we got that week. Who on earth is going to eat dinners prepared by someone who gave them food poisoning? I think Sage is a great business concept and I'm sure they have some good cooks, but it seems hit and miss and if you get a miss, good luck to you.
