This was my first visit to Ford's Garage and it won't be my last. We had a large group of 8 people getting together to celebrate 2 birthdays. Fortunately we had reservations so our table was ready as soon as we arrived. The decor is perfect for car lovers with Craftsman tool chests all over the place as storage units for plates, flatware, to go boxes and whatever else the staff needs. Outside as you walk up there are two classic cars to welcome guests. I ordered the Thai Chicken Salad and a Sprite from the weekday value menu available during lunch hours (It includes a drink in the deal, a cool surprise). Good thing I got a "value portion" because it was Huge! I made two meals out of it. The peanut dressing was creamy with a little kick. So yummy. I stole a couple fries from my neighbor and they were crispy delicious and perfectly cooked. They serve Coke products. After our meal the staff paraded around the restaurant and clapped and sang a Happy Birthday song for our birthday girls. Such a great time! read more

So glad this place has finally opened near me in Sanford. Went tonight for the first time. Sat at the bar and got to experience the ice bar again. This is the best concept and all bars should have this. Sitting at the bar is more relaxed I feel. Had Des as my server and she was fantastic. Got the fords pickles and the seasoning on them was so good. I could have eaten those all day long. The I got the highway 101 burger with fries. Both were good and seasoning on fries was perfect. Burger was a little over cooked but it was still good. Will definitely be back to try out other burgers or other options on the menu read more

This was my first time at a Ford's Garage and it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant is big and open with plenty of seating. We were greeted by a friendly host and then seated. Our server was nice, friendly and attentive. She made sure our party was taken care of and checked on us often. For lunch on a weekday it was busy but not crowded. The have good weekday lunch specials and a large dinner menu options. I ordered the Ford's Signature Burger with a turkey patty. It was tasty, fresh and got fries instead of chips (they were put of them) which worked for me. Overall, a good meal and good location. read more

I've been 2 different times to be fair.. each time Average service, and the food quality was SUB - PAR.. The first visit .. I ordered a fried chicken Sandwich .. it was Flavorless, and had an odd Slick / Slimey sensation with each bite.. The batter was Terrible.. and fell Off in clumps.. I asked to speak to a manager ( Very nice, and helpful.. explained they had just opened and were still working out the kinks.. it's been at least a YEAR or more later !?! Went back today with my wife.. she ordered the French onion soup , and The pretzels.. the soup was NOT good.. seemed old like it's been sitting a long time.. the pretzels were actually GOOD... I ordered the Chicken Tenders with Fries.. the chicken was nothing more than the exact same chicken from the Prior visit sandwich, only now cut into Flat Tasteless Slimey planks. The fries had good flavor but were served COLD.. For the prices the charge. This should be top quality Food.. Again.. I had to ask to speak to a manager.. Again.. I really enjoy Ford's Garage. No, not the greatest food in the world but good enough. For example, the Blackened Salmon Salad - 8oz Blackened Norwegian Atlantic Salmon, Mixed Greens, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onions, Cucumbers, and Avocado is good but the default dressing needs a real upgrade. The atmosphere is great. I'm not even into cars and it just feels cool coming here seeing at least a facade of history. I have only been to one other location (the Orlando Premium Outlets) and they made a big deal there of how the tip was added, team service, etc. For Sanford, I was expecting the same drill; however, what I got was a normal restaurant experience. Stopped in at Ford's Garage for dinner after work and overall had a decent experience. The restaurant itself is very spacious and nicely decorated. It has a fun vibe and a lot of character, which made it feel like a cool place to grab dinner and hang out. We started with the cheese curds for an appetizer, and those were pretty good. They came out hot and were easy to snack on while waiting for the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the fish and chips. The portion size was definitely good, so I appreciated that, but I was a little disappointed in the overall taste. It just didn't have much flavor and felt like it needed a little more seasoning. My dining companion ordered the smoked brisket burnt end melt and really enjoyed it, so it seems some menu items may hit better than others. Overall, the experience was okay. The atmosphere was probably one of the stronger parts of the visit, and while some of the food was enjoyable, I do feel like it was a little pricey for what you get. Nachos were pathetic. Drinks were good but both bartenders double rang for every one drink even when the other made it so we were double charged for drinks we never had. They were friendly. The atmosphere was cool. Only thing we enjoyed really was the chiller ice strip on the bar to keep the drinks cold. read more

Beautiful addition to Sanford. This restaurant is very nice. It was Mother's Day today and we came and sat at the bar. The bar has this frozen dry ice thing in front of you that you set your drink on to keep it cold. I've never seen that before. Super friendly staff. The food was good. I got the pork sandwich They gave you a pretty big portion of the meat, however My tater tots were super salty. So I asked if I could get something else and I got the green beans. They were pretty good they could be cooked a little bit longer. My girlfriend got the onion rings and the onion soup and a fabulous tequila drink she was happy. Overall a pretty good experience for my first time here. I will come back with my husband and try a hamburger. I did cring at paying 20 bucks for the sandwich and the tater tots. But it's fun to get out every once in awhile and support the local scene. Live it up! read more

Came to visit the new Fords Sanford location! My hubbys first time and he was impressed with the vibe, all the memorabilia, vehicles and the napkin holders lol he thought someone left their part behind lol! Service was great as usually! We finally got a chance to visit Ford's Garage!! The ambiance inside is pretty cool, antique car parts, photos, and memorabilia everywhere. The service was good, our waiter Luke was very friendly and accommodating. For food, we had some mixed experiences. We got onion rings for appetizer, the flavor/taste was good but the onion to breading ratio was not great for us. The onion was super thin so felt like we were just eating a lot of breading. They were nice and crispy and the presentation on an oil funnel was cool. The two custom sauces were also really good, one was ranch based and the other ketchup based. For food my sons and myself got burgers, my wife got ribs. The burgers were fantastic! Cooked perfectly, tasted super fresh, seasoned well. The boys ordered regular build your own and I got the ESTATE burger. The estate burger was fancy! Fancy cheese, fancy caramelized onions, sauce, and some other stuff. It was amazing!! My wife's ribs were very good! Crispy on the outside and tender fall off the bone. The sauce on them was also really good. We got fries and mac and cheese for the sides. The fries were good nothing extraordinary the mac and cheese was kinda generic nothing special there either. The only challenge for us was that our older son has a shellfish allergy so he couldn't have onion rings, or fries, or the ribs (yes they fry those too) because they are all fried in the same oil as the shellfish that's sold there. After a day of flight delays and weather I opted for a quick and reliable burger place. Ford's has a great burger and usually great service and good selection of adult beverages. They didn't disappoint. Walked in and we were seated immediately. Bobby had eaten since he left Baton Rouge so he was famished. Ordered boom boom shrimp or whatever they call them and our burgers plus a beverage. I know I was don't drink a beer anymore but hey they had a stout and I like the Left Hand milk stout. Nothing like a little motor oil to was done your supper with. Burger and orings came out quickly and were delicious. Service was great as usual at a Ford's. Mouthwatering burgers and crispy fries! We came here for a birthday lunch with some coworkers, and we had a great time. The Ford Model A car suspended over the bar that would periodically have its horn honked and the gas pump sinks in the bathroom are some of the highlights of the decor here. Our server was great, especially with the party of 9 we had. Everybody's food came out at the same time which is always a plus. The burger and fries were fantastic and cooked just how I asked it to be cooked. My only concern is that we called earlier in the day to reserve a table for our large group but were told that they aren't taking reservations. Then when we arrived and told the hostess the number of people in our party... we were kinda asked why we didn't call ahead (which we did). We were still able to be sat down immediately, but this is a new facility and I'm sure they'll be able to iron out their kinks with time :) read more

This Fords Garage Restaurant had recently opened for n Sanford Florida and my wife and I to give it a try. When we arrived they were relatively busy but we were able to get seated right away. Our waitress came by and took our drink orders and we also ordered a tower of Onion Rings. Since we got the Onion Rings we both decided to order off the lunch menu and both of us ordered a Classic Hamburger with fries and a house salad for our sides. The lunch menu also included iced tea or soda which save you almost $8.00 nowadays. Everything was good the only issue our waitress came accidentally charged us for the drinks which she removed when we mentioned it. We were so excited for Fords Garage to open in Sanford and it did not disappoint. Our party of 6 arrived at 5:30 on a Tuesday night and had a 5-7 minute wait. It was very crowded!! The interior is decorated very well. Everything seems very intentional from the napkins to the restrooms. The service was a bit slow and our food took over 30 minutes to come out. However, I'll cut them some slack because they did great for being so new and busy. I enjoyed the salmon and my husband and uncle enjoyed the hot honey chicken bow. Others in our party enjoyed chicken tenders, onion rings, chicken sandwich, a burger, and more. My only complaint is that the tots were not crispy at all. Really cool Ford themed restaurant! The wings and pickles were a solid choice (blue cheese and ranch dip). The bison burger was delicious and the fries were crispy. The sweet potato tots were super good as well. Our server was very helpful and even gave us a bit of history about the restaurant and how each burger is chosen. They have this super cool bar with an actual vehicle on top as decoration with super cool napkins. The napkins are similar to the ones used to wipe off oil during an oil change. The detail put into the decor is absolutely amazing and you have to check out the bathrooms. read more

I was offered the opportunity to be a part of Sanford's newest dining experience, Ford's Garage. The ambiance is everything you would expect from a Garage themed restaurant, from the miscellaneous photo's, auto parts and metal advertisement signs that are hanging on the wall, all the way to the gas pump door handles, repurposed kegs for urinals and the restroom sinks wrapped in car tires. The food is bursting with flavor and the staff is on top of their game. Elyse was our server and she did an amazing job of making sure that we were well taken care of. It's definitely a positive dining experience that will fit in well with the restaurant options in this area of town. Looking forward to enjoying the rest of the menu options when I return. read more

With casual dining in decline, they really bring something to the table not only with the obvious automania but with the food. Love those burgers. And that buffalo chicken sandwich's wahoo woo! Onion rings are just fun too. Sure, you might pay a little bit more but I think you're going to get a little bit more. There's an air of excitment, importance, among that staff too, that doesn't go unnoticed and translates to an overall better experience. Not sure what is going on Fords, I haven't reviewed the last few times because I just chalked it up to a bad day. But my last 3 online orders have all had something wrong. Either over cooked burgers, old brown lettuce, and tomatoes, even the broccoli was brown. But this time the Bison Burger meat temp was absolutely perfect but covered in thick layers of pepper. It was truly not edible but my husband ate half, mainly because I drove from Debary on my lunch break to get him some food. Not a happy camper! I absolutely love a themed restaurant and Ford's Garage went all out! It's like an elevated sports bar vibe which I can totally get behind. I definitely recommend the Estate Burger. Sign me up to have anything with truffle in it! The burger is a flavor bomb with the smoked gouda, sweet red onion marmalade, white truffle bacon aioli, and fried onion straws. I opted not to get the bun because I didn't want bread to lessen the flavors and it was perfect. I wouldn't get the mac n cheese again because I personally don't like the beer cheese. I've had the pleasure to visit this location twice and both times were good. The staff and the ambiance is by far the best part of Ford's Garage. The restaurant is decorated with automotive parts, pictures and even several early model Ford vehicles. The first time I visited I ordered the veggie burger and I was not a fan. The patty tasted more like a mush rather than a patty of anything. On my second visit I ordered a salmon salad. The menu shows only blackened salmon as an option but the waitress told me the blackened seasoning could not be added and they could simply grill the salmon, which I was completely fine with. When the order cam out it was covered with blackened seasoning. There was another order of blackened salmon at the table and both of our plates looked exactly alike (even though mine should not have any blackened seasoning). When I asked the person that brought the food out looked at both and then told me mine definitely was the one without any seasoning then rushed off. When the waitress came back to check on things she saw my salmon and quickly said that it was wrong. She apologized and took it back. My order ended up not coming back out until the entire table was finished with their meal. At the end of it there was no offer to not charge me for my meal, not charge me for my app, manager come apologize or anything which was disappointing. With that being said, the onion rings are wildly popular and I am a fan of the pickle spears too. read more

Walking in, all the Ford vintage decor immediately catches your eye. Service was excellent. I tried both the mushroom Swiss burger and the estate burger. Though the portions were great, both were unfortunately a bit too salty for my taste. Have enjoyed Ford's Garage scene we first visited one while on vacation. The atmosphere is really cool with lots of Ford memorabilia. Lots to see and enjoy everywhere you look. This time we shared a combo that came with a half rack of ribs, pulled chicken and sausage. The meat just feel off the bone amd was delicious. Then pulled checked which was amazing. The sausage had a nice flavored sauce. Everything was delicious and the wait was not long for our food to come out. The only thing that I was not to happy about is the person that was working the bar area. The bar tender was great but the server was too busy talking and flirting with one lady way toooo long. I understand you have to be nice amd talk with all your customers and sometimes be a little flirty. We did I ask several time to cash out and still we waited for his 20 minute conversation to end with the lady he was flirting with. Finally the bar tender asked if we were ok because he saw that we were getting a little frustrated. Funny thing is the people sitting next to the lady he was flirting with was also getting annoyed. Other than that we had a great time and will be back again and again. Just hope the bar area pays more attention to everyone at the bar and not just one cute girl. read more

Lunchtime parking lot was full. The lobby had 4-5 folks standing around waiting. No hostess? And there were at least a half dozen empty tables. We sat at the bar. Interesting cold strip embedded in the countertop designed to keep drinks cold. Our lunch was good. We had heard from friends the burgers and salmon were particularly noteworthy. Bacon cheeseburger was cooked med rare, as requested. The bacon was barely cooked - next time we'll ask for crisp. The bun was branded with the logo and was buttered and toasted on the flattop, and fresh. Good eats. Our fish-and-chip order was a very large piece of perfectly fried cod or haddock and was quite tasty. The fries were served crisp as requested. Our bartender was very pre-occupied throughout our lunch with 3 gentlemen on the opposite side of the bar. We felt abandoned while we sat and sat and sat wishing we could get even basic service like some condiments for our rapidly-cooling food, and drink refills. Nope. She never turned around for fully 5 minutes. Good that we were the only other customers or there might've been a small riot. Come on, m'am. Please at least act like you care. Why not a 5* lunch? Our missing bartender. Gratuities are earned in the restaurant business by wait-staff being attentive and providing good service. Unfortunate for our nonexistent bartender in a half empty bar - she missed earning a nice tip from us by completely ignoring us. Hope those 3 guys were worth it. read more
