This is my second visit for this location and my second review, and Ive dropped it a star. This is the second time I've invited someone to join me at this restaurant. It has such a great menu and fun atmosphere and this location is pretty convenient but I'm not going to try a third time. After my first review, the manager kindly reached out for more info and provided me with a credit to come back and try again. I was grateful and more than happy to try again. This time around, it was a busy Saturday night and we were seated pretty quickly. I'm not going to go into a tremendous amount of detail on this because I've already spent more time on this and have no interest in spending more time...the summary version is that our waitress was awful...beyond awful. My burger was not only cooked at the wrong temperature, it was also not put together well. Let me add that I've been to Fords in other locations and had this burger multiple times. It was just wrong. There are so many restaurants in and around this area that it is unnecessary for anyone to have a bad experience and keep going back. First time, I chalked it up to inexperienced staff and tried it again. Second time, it's more than that. It's a shame because they have a pretty good menu, good location, and fun atmosphere. This establishment is very unique, not at all what I was expecting, you get lost in the unique decor so I think that alone makes the food even better. The door handles are gas pumps lots to see here. I ordered the hamburger cooked medium and Fries, it was cooked to perfection However the sandwich was a little dry, I wish they had asked me if I wanted any sauce on it because I didn't think about it not having anything on the buns or Sandwich. Fords Garage is always packed on the weekends, and for good reason! The food is consistently great, and the service is always on point as well. I had the onion rings, and they were crunchy and nicely seasoned. Ambiance is just perfect... great decor, and it does feel like being at a garage... but much nicer. Food there was so good. We started with this shrimp and onion rings for an appetizer, both were amazing. For the meal I got the BBQ Brisket Burger, it was to die for... the only downside was the amount of onion, for personal taste, there was just too much raw onion. For the side, I got mashed potatoes and they were so good! DRINKS: I tried a strawberry margarita on the rocks, it was okay, just too much strawberry syrup for my taste, a little sweet. We went for lunch after church on the first Sunday after the event that followed up with "The Battle Cry" speech. She helped me to have back some humanity in our society. I took my sister and great nephews there today for lunch. We had Davedra and noah waiting on us. they were exceptional totally on target with what we ordered asking us. I built one 'off the menu' and it sounded so good my 2 friends ordered the same thing. LOL. (Cheddar cheese, bacon, 2x shoestring onion rings, BBQ sauce.) Sorry but I forgot to take a photo of my burger until I was at the last bite. I've been once before and for got how fabulous these burgers really are. Top visit! After purchasing a car, we were hungry. Since it was prime lunch time on a weekend, we had a little wait, but we filled it by discovering all of the living details of the restaurant that create a great ambiance. Our server was terrific. Attentive, friendly and fast. We ordered drinks, and decided to share. Good choice as portions were quite generous. I had previously eaten at the Orlando location of this chain. When I heard they were giving away Kentucky Derby glasses to MotorCub members, I figured I would try the St. Augustine location. The restaurant is located next to the Ford car dealership near the outlets. They have three model Ford cars displayed outside. The inside of the restaurant also has a lot of Ford car decor. There is plenty of indoor and bar seating. Service was quick. They have appetizers, burgers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. I opted for the Estate burger. It comes with smoked gouda cheese, sweet red onion marmalade, arugula, tomato, fried onion straws, and white truffle bacon aioloi on a brioche bun. Fries are the standard side, but you can upgrade to onion rings for an additional 3 dollars. The sandwich is very tasty, and the waitress said it's her favorite burger. read more
