Cool concept, the place is amazing as far as the decor. I didn't feel safe inside, everyone was jammed together given Covid concerns. But that's the risk on my part I guess. We ordered drinks and my son ordered a sweet tea which he returned, it wasn't sweet like us southerners expect. We couldn't get the waitress to remember to bring his other drink order and other condiments we asked for. She kept apologizing. It was getting old being apologized all the time with zero results. We all ordered the burgers, I ordered a double stack which was well presented and looked delicious. No seasoning on the burger what so ever! Salt goes a long way, what a concept to put salt on your meat before you cook. That tells me they have people with no training in food preparation. Always season whatever meat your cooking, Gordon Ramsey would yell everyone out of the kitchen. The Burger was also cooked on a flat top, because of no salt it tasted like it was boiled. No Grill marks which is okay if cooked properly. My son said the same about his burger. The waitress did ask us how our meal was and I told her. She did go out of her way to make it right and told the manager. She came to our table and apologized and asked if we where getting deserts and rang up 2 to go and reduced the price on meals so I up'd the star from 1 to 2. Terrible experience if you can't enjoy your food. The manager really needs to taste the food randomly to check for quality and immediately give directions to the kitchen if complaints are made. I'm reluctant to try it again. Having a fancy looking place won't keep the customers coming back. Quality control is key. You can't hide flavors under bacon, onions, lettuce and cheese. I see the manager reads and responds to these reviews. Season, Season, Season or the business will fail for tasteless food. Cooks have to be consistent with cooking not random one day I season the food and the next day I'm too busy to season it at all. I'm also reading the other reviews and I'm seeing the same complaints about seasoning. If your cooks are telling you they're seasoning guess what that means it's not enough. read more

Three stars only because our server was great and attentive. The atmosphere was fun and kitschy -- perfect for my two young sons. The food was not good. My kids ordered a rack of ribs (not a kid's menu item) that tasted like they were boiled. They were so mushy and over-cooked that the actual bone crumbled like chalk. They were served on top of about 10 limp fries and drowned in bbq sauce. Very disappointing. I ordered a veggie burger which I was told the patty was made in-house and not frozen which I was excited about. It came to the table looking fine, but it was terrible! I love a good homemade veggie burger, but this one had a pasty internal texture and an aftertaste that I cannot describe (but you should see the face I'm making). I took a couple of bites and was done. Ate the onion rings instead. Those were fine. All in all, we will not be back. Glad we went to get the curiosity out of the way. read more

Woot woot! Best road stop decision on our way to Davenport. From the greetings, to the wait staff and the quick service we experienced just all around cheers to the staff! We loved how the restaurant used a car theme through out from the door handles to the gasket cover napkin rings the details were spot on. Loved our pretzel appetizer- crispy, good portion, and excellent dips. Our favourite of the even was the black N Bleu followed by the Mushroom Swiss, and then Chicken sandwich. Just finished having a great late lunch early dinner at Fords Garage. Kelly was our waitress and she was perfect funny and helpful. I had a strawberry Margarita and my husband had bud light on tap. For dinner I had pork Mac n cheese and it was so delicious. My husband had the shrimp Mac n cheese and loved it . For dessert he had the turtle brownie with ice cream and I had the strawberry and sweet cake with whippped cream . Delicious dinner and the restaurant is decorated very festive . I've always been a huge fan of Ford. I love Fords garage. I've been to the Lakeland location and this one. Service is always great and Food is always delicious. The portions are very large as well. I started out with the spicy shrimp and fried pickles. The shrimp was great and the pickles were not. For my entree I had the chipotle chicken sandwich with tater tot's. My sandwich - pretty good. (But get the bacon jam on the side) the tater tot's, not so great. This place is an over priced Chili's with subpar food. Decided to sit at the bar instead of a table- love all the car decor & wall of beer taps. I really enjoyed my made in house veggie burger- a hearty flavorful veggie burger is hard to find! Great garage theme based on Ford Motors. Lots of old cars inside and out. Cool decor including the bathrooms. Lol. Kegs for urinals, tire sinks, and gas pump nozzles for door handles & faucets. Old gas pumps and signs throughout. It is kind of an open-air place with inside and outside seating. Big bar in the middle with an old Ford hanging over it. Entire wall of draft beer to choose from. Coincidentally right next to the Ford dealership... Food is awesome with fantastic service from genuinely friendly people. Great selection of high quality burgers and sandwiches. We had the brisket burger which was excellent and the Chipotle Chicken sandwich that was also great. Bison burger will be the next one I try. Serving sizes were big. Lots of unique sides and appetizers are offered. You can pay by scanning the code on your ticket or the old fashioned way. Overall it was excellent and a great addition to the many choices St. Augustine has to offer. It's easy to get to and plenty of parking and seating. I highly recommend Ford's Garage. read more

We discovered this new to us Chain restaurant in St Augustine and thought, what the heck, let's give it a go after a long, hard day of outlet mall shopping. Shopping makes you hungry! We were greeted outside by 3 old classy Ford Vehicles and I had to take an obligatory photo of these classics. (Photo not included in review for child's privacy). The wait was comparable to most restaurants 3-45 minutes for a walk in. However, we did try to call ahead and informed that they didn't do call ahead today or reservations. I dislike not being able to do call ahead, as I'm spoiled, and feel what's the difference with me calling ahead or walking up to wait to be seated. None to the restaurant, to me it's sitting, standing, waiting an additional time to be able to eat. So this is a negative in my book, others might say not, to each his own. I want customer service and convenience. We sat after 35 minutes after picking fastest seating available in a corner inside the restaurant next to the supposed heated patio. It was a rather crisp evening in Florida, yes, I know hard to believe, it does happen though. We ended up freezing the entire meal, not enjoyable, and we saw no heaters near us. I asked and no other seating was available and we could wait another 30 minutes for another spot, uhmm that's no, I'm hungry. We perused the menus provided and ordered. I had a Pina Colada which was okay. I ordered the BERRIES AND GORGONZOLA SALAD WITH SHRIMP Mixed Greens Tossed in a Strawberry Vinaigrette with Grilled, Shrimp, Dried Cranberries, Fresh Blueberries, Candied Walnuts, and Gorgonzola Cheese and a French onion soup to warm up with. The salad was a good size and adequately balanced with shrimp, I did have to ask for more dressing. However, that is an individual preference and I like a salad to not be dry. The soup was fair, one small piece of bread with a few onions in beef broth, covered with a good amount of mozzarella. My daughter had the Mac n Cheese with Shrimp which we needed to send back as it was cold. It took a bit to come back out, and I'd finished eating, but they had added more cheese and this time it was perfect. My daughter enjoyed it, but left feeling hungry, as the portion was small. If you knew my daughter, you'd know she doesn't eat a lot, so for her to say I'm still hungry and finish a meal says-there wasn't enough food. She also disclaimed it was good, but not worthy of the price. I must give kudos to the waiter, he was attentive and did apologize for not providing utensils for us to eat with for 5 minutes after receiving our food by another wait staff. He did bring us free fries to warm us up. While we waited again, i watched the bar personnel empty a fridge full of their fruit mix drink boxes for mixed drinks, and sit them on the floor, some fell over. They cleaned the fridge, the person cleaning handled two of the containers tops unscrewed one dropped the lid on the floor and recapped it, and another fold top closure he opened with bare hands and stuck a finger inside the opening and removed something and then placed all 10-15 boxes back in the fridge. I nearly threw up knowing I had the Pina Colada. So we will not try Fords again. read more

What a find! This place is a blast. From the fuel-nozzle door handles to the onion rings served on an inverted funnel, everything is on theme. The napkins are even shop towels! The food is very good: we had onion rings, seared ahi, a burger, and brownie for dessert (get the caramel sauce on the side if you don't like salty caramel). All delicious. Great beer selection, too.
