This was my first time to the Fords garage. The fact it sits in the middle of a Ford dealer is unique. The old Ford models and car parts all over is very clever. I'm glad the food and drinks were above par. I started with a beer flight. I like to mix my beers and when I asked the server for a glass she brought me a plastic cup. Fords garage is so amazing. The staff is amazing. The ambiance is amazing. The food was 10/10 for our whole group of 24 people. Our car group got together for a cruise and afterwards we headed to Fords Garage. We didn't make a reservation, we were able to be seated and greeted in such a timely manner. Less than an hour, on the spot, for a group of 20+. The manager was super awesome, making us feel so comfortable and taken care of with such a large party on the spot, and the hosts were so sweet. Great vibes & burgers!! We had an excellent time meeting up with family at Ford's St. Augustine location. They were able to accommodate our large party size, despite how busy the restaurant was. I would recommend calling ahead at this location as they were busy at 4pm on a weekday. While I didn't have high expectations for this chain restaurant the burgers were phenomenal! Cool theme. Everything was well executed. Good presentation and my Jiffy burger was cooked perfectly. I totally had to go for it as my first peanut butter burger. One minor complaint is that the party could've used a little seasoning as I found it to lean towards the bland side. We had another minor complaint in that the cloth napkins - shop towel to match the theme along with auto clamps and napkin rings - smelled of oil. We enjoyed our time and service was on point but we asked our waitress about the napkins. She sent the manager over right away. We had a pleasant feedback conversation with him and even learned about the business itself. Very welcoming and while we were just providing feedback, he discounted some items and also comped a dessert for the table. Completely unnecessary but surely appreciated. This is the first time I ate at Fords Garage. The ambiance- very cool. There is a model T Ford hanging over the bar. There are engines, automotive parts used for decor ( check out the bathroom!). Very casual, cool vibe The service- friendly service, though felt a bit rushed as we sat and they were all over us regarding drinks. Bar- 150 different types of beer, several cocktails- good drinks Food- they have gourmet burgers, real interesting, big variety. They do have sandwiches as well. Sweet potato tater tots ( delish). Some burgers that was ordered: jiffy burger that had peanut butter on it. There was a black n bleu burger bleu cheese and all the topping. Mushroom burger with onion straws, and i think the Fords burger ( don't remember the name). It is topped with a fried egg. Everyone enjoyed the meal. The only issue that we had was that some of the burgers came out cold, not lukewarm.. cold! Along with cold fries. Absolutely amazing experience tonight! I invited 34 people to Fords for my birthday. I easily made reservations weeks in advance and was advised they would love to host our group. They called to confirm the day of. We arrived, table already together and heaters were turned on. Due to the party size we had to eat on the patio. It was perfect. The heaters were on high and you never knew it was in the 40's. I would like to send a 5 star review to Matt and Clayton. They made the entire evening PERFECT. I recently visited Fords for the 1st time after hearing good things about them! It wasn't a great experience tbh. The staff seem to hangout behind the hostess stand while guests look for them. Our server checked on us 1 time while in motion to another table. They weren't smashed busy either. The burgers were very over cooked, dry and lacked in seasoning! Fries were greasy and cold but I was starving so I ate them. Mac and cheese was cold, very little chicken but edible enough. By the time we were checked on, we were ready to leave. So there was no point in trying to get new food. We would've told our sever early on, as we understand how challenging it can be and it wasn't her fault, but unfortunately we didn't get that opportunity. We heard so much praise about this new burger place. The wait was between 20 to 30 mins on sa Saturday lunch time. The decor was really cool, 3 vintage cars in the front. I like the little things like the door handles that are gas pump that was pretty cool. Also the sinks in the bathrooms are the old tires. And even on the napkin rings, anything that's car related. The service was Ok, our server wasnt attentive. She didn't really check on us to see what we needed. We got seated outside and nobody was really checking on anybody, they were just hanging out by the door. I was done with my drinks before I even got my burger. I guess it didn't really help with the heat from the sun and eating a dry burger. The server came out to check on us after being almost done with my burger. We got an onion ring as our appetizer and it was good. My go to order at a burger place is mushroom Swiss. It was on the dry side and I wish they put some kind of aioli. It came with pretzel bun and it was already dry and hard to begin with. The burger patty was Ok. There was red onion and lettuce and the mushroom and chess. I substitute my fries with jalapeño cream corn instead. That one was good. Took a few fries from my husband and their fries was seasoned well and it was crispy. My husband got the Estate Burger. Cool concept, the place is amazing as far as the decor. I didn't feel safe inside, everyone was jammed together given Covid concerns. But that's the risk on my part I guess. We ordered drinks and my son ordered a sweet tea which he returned, it wasn't sweet like us southerners expect. We couldn't get the waitress to remember to bring his other drink order and other condiments we asked for. She kept apologizing. It was getting old being apologized all the time with zero results. We all ordered the burgers, I ordered a double stack which was well presented and looked delicious. No seasoning on the burger what so ever! Salt goes a long way, what a concept to put salt on your meat before you cook. That tells me they have people with no training in food preparation. Always season whatever meat your cooking, Gordon Ramsey would yell everyone out of the kitchen. The Burger was also cooked on a flat top, because of no salt it tasted like it was boiled. No Grill marks which is okay if cooked properly. My son said the same about his burger. The waitress did ask us how our meal was and I told her. She did go out of her way to make it right and told the manager. She came to our table and apologized and asked if we where getting deserts and rang up 2 to go and reduced the price on meals so I up'd the star from 1 to 2. Terrible experience if you can't enjoy your food. The manager really needs to taste the food randomly to check for quality and immediately give directions to the kitchen if complaints are made. I'm reluctant to try it again. Having a fancy looking place won't keep the customers coming back. Quality control is key. You can't hide flavors under bacon, onions, lettuce and cheese. I see the manager reads and responds to these reviews. Season, Season, Season or the business will fail for tasteless food. Cooks have to be consistent with cooking not random one day I season the food and the next day I'm too busy to season it at all. I'm also reading the other reviews and I'm seeing the same complaints about seasoning. If your cooks are telling you they're seasoning guess what that means it's not enough. read more

Love all of the locations we have been to so far. My first experience was at the Daytona location. Then when I heard of this location I had to try it. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We sat by the window on a nice sunny day. Even though the restaurant was busy it was to loud. The food was hot and tasty and the service was really good. If you're a car buff, especially Ford or love burgers, or really appreciate a great selection of craft brews than this is the place for you. It's a little challenging to find even though there's a huge sign right on I-95 in St. Augustine but it's worth taking the time to find it. It's located right between the Ford dealer and the Lincoln dealer in St Augustine. All of the automotive memorabilia is awesome, right down to the door handles being old handles from gas pumps, down to the several actual Model T's that they have. If you're a guy you HAVE to check out the mens room, I'll leave it at that. Our waitress did a nice job, there were 9 of us for lunch and it;s not always easy handling that large of a table but she did a nice job with it. We loved how the restaurant used a car theme through out from the door handles to the gasket cover napkin rings the details were spot on. Loved our pretzel appetizer- crispy, good portion, and excellent dips. Our favourite of the even was the black N Bleu followed by the Mushroom Swiss, and then Chicken sandwich. Just finished having a great late lunch early dinner at Fords Garage. Kelly was our waitress and she was perfect funny and helpful. I had a strawberry Margarita and my husband had bud light on tap. For dinner I had pork Mac n cheese and it was so delicious. My husband had the shrimp Mac n cheese and loved it . Three stars only because our server was great and attentive. The atmosphere was fun and kitschy -- perfect for my two young sons. The food was not good. My kids ordered a rack of ribs (not a kid's menu item) that tasted like they were boiled. They were so mushy and over-cooked that the actual bone crumbled like chalk. They were served on top of about 10 limp fries and drowned in bbq sauce. Very disappointing. I ordered a veggie burger which I was told the patty was made in-house and not frozen which I was excited about. It came to the table looking fine, but it was terrible! I love a good homemade veggie burger, but this one had a pasty internal texture and an aftertaste that I cannot describe (but you should see the face I'm making).
