I pass by this restaurant every single day. I never thought of stopping here. I was not feeling great and I wanted fried fish but didn't want to cook it. I looked at several places, this location caught my eye. Hubby drove me over to SR-207 and I-95. I didn't realize that we could call and order ahead. This location was just recently renovated. The inside has lots of seating and there's a tv to watch while you eat your meal. Young lady working the cashier/ order taker was so friendly and helpful. Let's talk prices...Sam's prices are pretty good. Very reasonably priced meals and they have a large selection. See the menu photos below. Hubby ordered the #1- Southern Single Burger $8.99. Beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and mayo. I ordered Sam Combo #11- $16.99. 4 fish (2 Swai/2Flounder), fried pickles and sweet tea. I had already made fresh Cole slaw at home. We also ordered Fried Pickles $4.99 & Banana Pudding $4.99. We did take out. When we got home the food was still piping hot ! Yesss . The fish was fried Well but not seasoned. Stopped at this place on vacation to eat fish. Ate there and Tammy was the waitress and she was so nice and accommodating. She was a great Waitress and juggled the 3 of us and a family of 6 that walked and as well as answered the phone and took orders to go. Went for breakfast. We were the only diners in. The food however was very good. I had the shrimp and grits, which was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. My husband had an egg platter that was equally good. The coffee was very tasty. We will return to try their lunch. read more

I grabbed for there two weeks ago it's small no place to really sit and I got the burger and fries my friend got the steak and cheese sub but it wasn't that great nothing to write home about. Nice clean friendly place that serves some great country style food. Cracker Barrel beware. This place beats you hands down. Fresh fried fish, shrimp, wings and tenders. As well as country favorites of fried gizzards and livers. The side choices are also simple. I found the red beans and rice to be the best I've ever eaten. The cole slaw was fresh and creamy. And a gentleman there said they have the best greens hes' ever had. Appetizes include mozz sticks, corn nuggets and fried green tomatoes. And the prices are well below seafood prices for the area. Portions are very sufficient enough we chose to share a meal and still did not eat it all. We will definitely return. Maybe next time we'll try breakfast which is also country style including biscuits and gravy, shrimp n grits and fish n grits as well as traditional eggs, hashbrowns and biscuits plus breakfast sandwiches. I tried the rice bowl with both chicken and lamb, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, but what really pushed it over the top was the added sauce. It brought everything together and made each bite even better. The rice was fluffy, the flavors blended beautifully, and the portion was generous. Shoutout to Angel and the hard work kitchen staff here at this venue. Angel was so personable, welcoming, friendly, and pleasant to chat with. She really loves St Augustine This is a very fun menu including sandwiches, wings, yummy sides, combos, and kids meals too. The dining area is clean, bright, and gives you lots of elbow space. The macaroni and cheese and cheese burgers were already sold out today, so they must be good! The bathroom is unisex, well lit, and kept clean. There seemed to be a lot of regulars and that is good sign. I can't wait to try out more items, but we stared off with our favorites this first time here. We ordered the choose 3 combo: Fried oysters, chicken tenders, and wings. Hubby enjoyed the plump fried oysters first. The tenders are nicely sized tender white meat. The chicken wings are whole wings and that gives a lot of crispy surface area to collect the lemon pepper flavor that I had mine tossed with today. A nice flavor bump to the already delicious wing. The side orders were delicious and portioned generously. We had fried okra, fried mushrooms, coleslaw, and green beans. Yes, I ordered some extra sides, just to try my favorites. It was hard to pick, because they had a lot to choose from. I had sweet tea and hubby had a soda. We had to take some food home for sure, because we filled up fast! The worst breakfast I've ever had I got the waffle platter. The waffles were flat and dense .The bacon was cold and the eggs just didn't taste good. The grits I had to return because they put pepper kind of butter on it, which they should've asked first. I was charged $9.99 for the waffle platter when it was supposed to be $7.99 on the board. read more

Pretty great. Surprising for a roadside joint. Clean and a nice place to rest. Food is good and seems really fresh. I had the jumbo shrimp po-boy sandwich. Good sauces, big slices of tomato, and really soft bread. Give it a try. read more
