Neapolitan cake

Fancy cakes that also taste pretty good too! If you're, you're celebrating a special occasion and need a fancy cake, Trafiq hits the spot. Be aware that you need to pre-order whole cakes at least a couple days in advance. Sometimes good looking cakes. Don't taste. Very good but this was not the case with this bakery. It wasn't the best cake I've ever had but was still moist and the design elements were very unique and aesthetically pleasing. Worth of try if you're in the area and they also sell slices of their cakes if you want to try a variety.

For what's lacking in ambiance is made up in decadent desserts. By far one of the most delectable tasting cakes, petite cakes and baked delights. If you love cake , you'll be in heaven here. The lunch menu is decent but the salad was lacking . I don't like mixed greens it tasted cheap. I'm a fan for life for the sweet treats!

Sakura cake

Have heard great reviews from this bakery and first time trying their cakes. This Sakura cake was delicious. My family quoted "best cake I've ever had". The cream is light and not heavy. Can taste the matcha on the mousse and the sponge. Need to order in advance but fortunately they had the cakes for display when I got there. Counter staff were very nice and friendly.

Amazing moist cakes and pastries! From all their cakes I've tried my favorite is their signature salted caramel cake. Although, from their entire roster you can't go wrong with any of them! They're all consistently delicious

Blueberry Lemon 10"

Place that my daughter loves to get her cake from. Ordered 10" Blueberry Lemon cake that was moist, tart and not too sweet. Street parking available with meter parking. Pending when you go, it is an area that not only locals but around the city including myself that make the trip to order from because it is worth it for finding a parking spot.

My daughter and I were on our way to have lunch at someone's house so I dropped by Trafiq Cafe & Bakery to pick up some dessert that we could bring over. They have a deal where you can buy 6 small dessert cakes for $18 so we went for this and since they had 6 flavors to choose from, we chose one of each flavor! Pumpkin Spice Latte Tiramisu London Fog Chocolate Decadence Oreo Cream Cake Ultimate Lemon Each one was shaped like a cube which made them easy to cut and divide into 4 pieces. Perfect for sharing and tasting a variety of flavors. They were all sooooo good! Every single one of these was bursting with flavor and they were such yummy flavors! I need to find more places like this where I can buy lots of mini gourmet desserts for a good price! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the side streets Location: 4216 Main St., Vancouver

This is my go-to place for all cakes and desserts. I like to switch between the Homage to Earl Grey and Lemon Lavender cake slices. They are top tier for the no-too-sweet variety of cake. I tried the Chocolate Brulee, and although it was very good, it was a little too sweet for my liking. Their sponge cake is best in town. The seating area gets a little busy on the weekend and isn't much more than a fancy dining room so don't expect coffee-house ambiance here; but don't worry about it since the food more than makes up for it. The service is quick and they are very clear about what they are providing you with if you are picking up something for takeout. I also like how they provide individual boxes for cake slices if you get them to go. They are very well-organized.

Ok I went for the desserts (which are amazing) but I didn't realize I was also going to have the best sandwich ever!! The cranberry sourdough was easily the best bread I've ever had in my life!!!! Also, the staff were so very kind and helpful. Very cute place. I wish I could go back everyday!!

Vanilla All Stars and Salted Caramel Cakes

This is my 2nd day hanging out in the Main St as there are so many cafes and restaurants to explore. I came to this cafe today as I heard about their signature cakes. I came here with my friend and picked the Vanilla All Stars and Salted Caramel cake to share. The shop was almost full but it didn't take long for the cakes and coffee. The cakes are marvellous - perhaps the best cakes I have ever had since I come to Vancouver. The cakes ain't too sweet but the taste proved a good marriage of salted caramel and vanilla. The layers of flavour didn't cover each other but matched in harmony. Cappuccino and latte are great, especially after a few bites of cakes, the sweet flavours carried forward to the coffee and made it better. Last but not least, the staff is friendly and the environment is comfy with enough natural light. What you might expect is the chatting sounds around but it made a good vibe here. To conclude, no doubt - 5 stars for this cafe. Cakes are must-try.

Strawberry cake and Americano
Stephanie M.

We came on a Saturday morning and it was pretty empty. We had an Americano and the strawberry cake. The Americano was pretty strong and went perfectly with the strawberry cake. The strawberry cake had a bit of tartness to it which I liked and it wasn't overly sweet. The cake also wasn't dry and I didn't get sick of it any time. The staff are really friendly and fast. Lots of places to sit. Great for big and small groups

Earl grey cake slice

Super cute cafe with a fair selection of cakes and cake slices. Walked away with a slice of earl grey, pumpkin pie, and lemon lavender cakes. The pumpkin pie was my favorite, and was layered with actual pumpkin pie filling! The earl grey had good flavor, although it was a bit dry - same issue with the lemon lavender. I would go back to try their coffees and cookies, primarily because the staff were delightful and I loved the atmosphere.

Lemon Yuzu Frangipane Tart

This lemon yuzu tart is mouthwatering! I love how its not too sweet and not too sour, blended well with their shortbread crust. I ate a whole slice after my meal ~ Lemon Yuzu Frangipane Tart $31.00

BIG slices of cake AND it's not too sweet. This was a huge piece of cake that I wish I shared with someone else! I am usually not a fan of icing and cream but they made it so well that I enjoyed it. The sponge cake isn't dry and it's packed with earl grey flavours. It balances with the chocolate icing. A decadent treat but worth trying! I think it'd be a great birthday cake!

This is a unique review! I've never been there but judging by the cake photos, how can you go wrong. Can't wait to go.

The concept and stunning visuals completely blew my mind and I knew I had to come by to try this dessert. Their hours are a bit limited as they close at 5pm even on weekends. Luckily, I was passing by in downtown and quickly ran in to grab a couple sandwiches. They were rock solid when the cashier passed them to me, which was perfect as I had to make the trek back to the car before I could unwrap and try it. The sandwich is on the smaller end so I made sure to cherish the $25 I had spent on 2 sandwiches. The inside featured a creamy basil ice cream with frozen strawberries. The strawberries were a bit icy but the cream balanced it out and it was not too sweet. And of course, who wouldn't love a biscoff ice cream sandwich? The basil flavour was unique and interesting and I was glad I got to try this delicious creation. I probably wouldn't have it again, but it is definitely worth a try! The French bakery is also really cute inside, so I do want to come back to experience and in-café experience - maybe at a different location with more parking.

It was a huge hit with everyone! The 6 inch cake was $69 and I added a customized birthday message on chocolate for an extra $3 which was a nice personal touch. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to order online well in advance because their cakes sell out quickly. I can definitely see why. They're fantastic! I'll be ordering from Gary's Patisserie again for future celebrations.

Gary's only allows to order the fresh mango cakes up to one week ahead to ensure they have enough ripe mangos, which I admire their dedication. We ordered the 6 inch cake for 9 people (7 adults and 2 kids) and everyone got a thin to average slice. The cake is definitely prettier than the other fresh mango cakes on the market, has a lot more mangos that are perfectly ripe and sweet, there is less wipped cream, and the sponge cake is softer. The family agreed that Gary's has the best fresh mango cake but at $69 for a 6 inch cake, versus $43 for a 6 inch mango cake from Saint Germaine, a cake from Gary's is definitely a treat and for special occasions. Is Gary's worth the premium price? I think so but not everyone in my family agreed. One thing to note: Gary's do offer cake in a jar that's $8.50 each. When we went, they had a BOGO deal with the mango cake jars. My nephew asked my sister to buy the BOGO deal knowing that the 6 inch cake was not going to be enough, as the kids like having a second slice of cake.

As I love desserts, I was so excited to see Chinatown and visit this place for the first time. This place was located in an area that would be best to walk with a friend or a small group- I was not quite prepared to see and experience what was going on all around. Finally, we made it there and were glad to order some doughnuts. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the sweet smell of doughnuts and the two friendly staff.
