To quickly level-set, I rarely give 1 or 5 star reviews because they tend to be reactionary hip-shots. Jason and company are the real deal who run a professional, well-oiled, no bullshit operation and obviously care deeply about quality and customer service. I don't trust many folks to have the interests of VW/Audi Group owners at heart who are just not interested in throwing away their cars every 10 years or wasting their life sitting in rush hour traffic reverse-commuting to some dealership in the burbs just to get ripped off. If they cannot handle a repair properly (which is rare) they will tell you up front and likely have a recommendation of how to proceed. I forgot to review this place about 6 months back but a comment I just read here reminded me. Another garage tried to rip me off during inspection and I took it to Foreign Fix. Honest assessment, and saved me tons of trouble. When I was there, I overheard the owner(?) tell someone that their engine was going to be costly and recommended to get another car. That's the kind of blunt honesty we all need. I mentioned to the guy that I came to his shop because I saw reviews on reddit and he said he didn't know they were getting props on there. Also, it appeared a happy customer brought the man a pizza during our conversation. Anyway, my car just died and it's very possible the engine could be shot, or expensive repairs due to model. Or it could just be cheap electrical. Need an honest assessment more than anything right now, so I'll be headed back. Praying that this is not a full circle moment. I brought my BMW in for an alternator after breaking down on I-95 while traveling to Philadelphia from New York. Jason was helpful and suggested a towing company. My car was back on the road the same day. The price was about right according to my regular mechanic, but certainly no bargain. I was surprised that bill was not itemized, so I could not see the separate part and the labor cost. I took my 2007 VW here based on a rec from a neighbor and she wasn't wrong. I first went here when my catalytic converter was stolen (I hate the city sometimes). They fixed that and located a part for an older car very quickly. Later, they did an inspection and fixed a broken bulb for a reasonable price. When a warning light came on a couple weeks later they fixed that part and fixed another bulb and didn't charge me for the bulb since they were doing a thorough inspection anyway. Foreign Fix is awesome. I've been a loyal customer for many years. They are as straight as an arrow. They will never jerk you around. If they think an issue I bring up isn't a serious problem or not worth the price it would cost to fix, they will actually talk me out getting the work done. I totally trust these guys. They're knowledgeable. Their prices are very reasonable. They're super friendly. I can't sing their praises enough. They're always very busy there. Sometimes they won't be able to get to your car that day. But I'm fine with that. If a garage is swamped with legitimate business all day long, they won't waste your time and money trying sell you on some BS work that you don't need. If you need fairly standard maintenance work, just drop it off and grab a coffee. They work quickly and will call you in an hour. I can't comment on prices - I think they are pretty typical. This is one of the few shops near us that are a) GOOD and 2) open on Saturdays. I know of several Honda owners in the neighborhood who swear by them, and indeed they do what a good auto mechanic/shop should: offer reasonable rates, quick turnaround and a call before work starts to let you know just how big the hit will be. The only downside I can think of is that they're wedged into a residential area and don't have a great place to drop your car off without fear of getting a ticket. read more

Honest. That's my first comment on this auto shop. I had some very tricky issues needing fixing on my 13 year old Hyundai and they fixed them. I always get a detailed explanation of what the problem was and how they fixed it. I won't say they are cheap because they're not. I would say they are cheaper than most though. I want to believe all the very positive reviews, but at first, that wasn't my experience. I took my car in for a few specific repairs. They did the work in one day, I picked up my car and found I now had a noisy exhaust, which wasn't there when I brought the car in. I called them about it, and was told to bring my car in the next day. They finished the work in one day and didn't charge me, which I greatly appreciated. The problem was solved. After a couple of days I started to hear a grinding sound coming from the front of the engine, when I turn the steering wheel. Well, Jason pulled through for me!
