Finding a table for three on Valentine's Day without a reservation usually ends in heartbreak, but…read morewe lucked out here! Despite it being a busy holiday evening, we were seated immediately. The vibe was lively but comfortable, with most tables and the bar filled. Since we visited in February, we leaned heavily into their specials menu. We skipped the small plates and went straight for the mains: the Greek Salad with Steak, the Steak and Gorgonzola Flatbread, and the Vine Burger. Every dish was a hit, though my wife found the red wine vinaigrette on the salad to be just "okay" rather than great. For drinks, we stuck to the mocktails. We tried all three on the menu, and the Blueberry Mule (ginger beer based) was the undisputed winner. We'll have to come back for the cocktails another time since they looked promising! We capped the night with the Apple Blossom pastry with vanilla ice cream--it is a total "must-try." Overall, the service was courteous, the ambiance was spot-on, and parking was a breeze. We'll definitely be back!

The soup of the day was fantastic. A sausage, potato and kale soup. Warm, comforting and delicious! The salad was somewhat disappointing. I ordered the quinoa kale salad, with a citrus vinaigrette. There was a little quinoa and kale on top of a large amount of romaine. Not what I expected. It was also served stuffed into a small, tall sided bowl with the dressing on the side. How exactly are you supposed to dress it and eat it? My friend had the burger and fries. The burger was half the size of the bun. She literally removed 50% of the bun. It was also extremely well done. The fries were cold. They don't have decaf coffee, but I was able to order mint tea. It was brought in a cup that smelled like old coffee. The table had been cleared and I had no napkin and he didn't bring one with the tea. There was a slice of lemon I didn't want and I had no place to put it. There is potential here, I hope they pay more attention to providing a quality experience and food.

You just…read morehave to be careful about what you choose because some things aren't up charge and your server may or may not tell you about that before your check comes. If you want to save some money, use their app and join their club and check for deals and don't forget to tell your server that you belong to the club and use points to save money on your check. The servers are always nice and the place is clean and the food comes pretty quickly. If you want an appetizer before your main meal, you probably want to order that first and wait until you get it then order your main dishes. They are that quick. This last time we had the original buffalo wing sauce and we're surprised that it was pretty spicy. We also had the honey sauce, which was really good too. We didn't realize that ordering bone- in was an up charge. (Why??) It does say so on their menu and since we ordered two out of the pick four appetizers in the combo, we were charged $1.50×2. I'm sure we'll be back because we enjoy the food, watching TV while we're eating, and the service has always been great. We will just need to study the menu better so we're not surprised by prices. Also, we found out that the email advertisement that comes out from Buffalo Wild Wings saying that a combo is $19.99 doesn't matter at the Smokey Point restaurant because they are not corporate and apparently the email is sent out from corporate regarding some other corporate properties. ‍‍

Brunch review: on weekend mornings on warm, dry days they open up their front patio for service,…read morewhich can make for a pleasant brunch. The menu offerings vary widely from traditional breakfasts to creative takes on Benedict's, sandwiches, sweet pancake variations and more, and the quality is decent. The drink program is pretty exceptional; their house-made Bloody Mary variations are well worth the price, delicious and spicy. And they have an entire section devoted to tiki-style drinks, including shareable "fishbowl" variations, which could be a novel way to kick off a summer weekend, indeed! Side note: the coffee is unexpectedly good. Service can be a little spotty; they could improve this by adopting a more cooperative, team-service style. More than once, we saw servers struggling to juggle inside and outside service, while their less busy colleagues checked their phones or chatted with each other. True: it's the only brunch there is here, without a long drive to a neighboring community. But they do a fair job and the prices, for now, are under control. Recommended.

This is a place that I really wanted to like. I was hungry and came in for a very late lunch…read more Because I came in just before a shift change, it was a while before I could get my beer order placed. My server was very pleasant, but I can't really say that she did as well as she could've. For example, I ordered the cheeseburger and added onions. It must have sat for a little bit in the kitchen, because it was barely warm when it arrived, minus the onions. My server was at the table behind me, chatting, and very slowly taking the order of two women who must've been locals she knew. I was patient for a while, but eventually tapped her on the shoulder and asked her to talk to me when she finished taking their order. Meanwhile, my cheeseburger continued to get colder. When she finally finish baking their order, she turned me, and I mentioned that I had asked for onions on the burger. She nodded, and then she went to the bar, proceeded to restock the cooler, and did other tasks. At this point, the burger is cold. I push it away from me, and I am going to ask them to take it off the bill. I had not taken a bite, mind you. Another server comes over and asked if I would like a box. II told him it was cold, did not have the requested onions on it, and I had no interest in it whatsoever. He apologized profusely and said they are happy to make me another. I usually do not like to send back food to the kitchen, but I made an exception in this case. In a reasonable time, someone who I guess was the kitchen manager brought over a freshly cooked burger. There were onions, but they were finally diced, which I don't understand, because they just kept falling out of the burger. Why wouldn't you just put in a slice? The burger was overcooked and not well seasoned and at the end of the day, I thought the food was rather mediocre. This place gets an extra star because my original server did come over and sincerely apologize for the issues with the food. Nevertheless, it is not a place I would come back to. Maybe best left to the locals.
