I haven't had IHOP in so long & I mean like YEARS!!! We decided to come here to eat since we were in the plaza. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was wonderful. She made sure to check up on us to see if everything was good and ok or if we needed anything else. As you enter the restaurant it was very quiet and not busy. We went around 3pm. - cali turkey melt sandwich: flavorful. It had slices of Avocado and I was able to feed that to my child which was hit. - happy face pancake: it was too cute. My child definitely enjoyed it. - cowboy bbq burger: Onion rings gave it a nice crunch and it didn't go soggy. Sauce was a little on the sweeter side, but it's not gonna bother the whole burger. - appetizer (onion rings, chicken strip, & mozzarella sticks: onions rings were crunchy & tasty. Chicken strip was well cooked. & mozzarella sticks lacked just a little bit of flavor & cheese was not really a "cheese pull" but it was there especially dipping it in ranch. Overall, the food was good. Would definitely come back if I am around the plaza again & craving the turkey sandwich. We're sitting waiting for our name to be called and hostess seats walk-ins the minute they arrive--1st oops! Experienced hostess catches mistake and gets us seated as soon as possible. Next oops--the server in our area ignores us-- no hello, no coffee, no nothing while people who were seated after us are getting attention right away. Ooops--guess the tip just almost disappeared. Bright spot--a different server named Rachel (bless you) notices our disappointment and swoops in with our drinks and immediately takes our order. Her tip has just gone up. The low ratings steered me away from this IHOP for a long time, but I'm so glad we came in anyway! Stopped in for brunch around 1p and were greeted right away by a couple of employees who were helping others. The hostess seated us right away. Tables were clean and the dining area was maybe a quarter full. Our server checked in maybe 5-7 mins after we were seated for our drink orders. Coffee with cream and a water. Drinks came out within the next few minutes and our food order was taken. Service time was perhaps a tish slower than expected but nothing to be considered a negative since we weren't in a hurry. I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelet, and had a choice of hashbrowns, 3 buttermilk pancakes, or fruit. I chose the pancakes - how can you go to IHOP without ordering pancakes?! Added a side of 2 sausage links. We also ordered the Happy face Pancake kid combo, came with a Pancake, 1 egg, 1 bacon, and 1 sausage, and added a side hashbrowns. I gotta say the omelet was perfection! The hollandaise under the melted cheese and all the veggies (onion, spinach, mushroom, tomato) was delicious and perfectly cooked! The kiddo had zero complaints about the Happy Face combo and left nothing behind! Will definitely be back and hope the great service and iconic IHOP food carries over to all future visits. read more

Never brought us water, forgot coffee, then never checked to see if ran out. Ordered pancake, never received it, but was charged for it. Etc. Etc..you get the point. Extremely slow service, waited 25 minutes for cold breakfast. Eggs were cold, hash browns were cold, and toast was cold.

The food was super greasy, the service was under par, and the ambiance was terrible. We're seated alone, as far back in restaurant as possible, under running vents fans and fairly ignored... and the business was far from full! This is a typical ihop experience, decent food, really nice and clean interior, and very nice wait staff. Two reasons last two stars. We waited 45 minutes after placing order for food, unacceptable. Granted, it sounded like everyone can't in at once yet no communication was made, which is why last a second star. Communication, as with everything, is KEY to it all. Really hope the wait staff ramps up communication when kitchen is fully backed up. If they did no stars would've been lost. read more

I found myself needing some food after an appointment nearby. We haven't been here at the Twin Lakes location for a minute so we decided to venture in. The place was not crowded and we were greeted and seated right away. I'm not a breakfast food guy so I ordered a burger. We both did actually. The burgers were decent. I wasn't expecting anything fancy. I got the Monster which is two patties and cheese with the regular LT & O garnish. Mrs. Billy D had the brunch burger. It has hash browns, a fried egg, and avocado on it. She seemed to like it. Nothing was over cooked and it all held together within the confines of the bun for most of the eating but I finally had to pick up a fork toward the end. The service was good. We were not wanting for anything. I know it's hit and miss sometimes with service at a place like IHOP. One day you will get the friendly and efficient server and the next visit you get the "I just got off a four day binder and I hate everyone server". It's a Crap shoot for sure. I'll consider myself lucky I got the former and not the latter. All in all it was a decent visit on a Friday morning before 9am. read more

First and foremost our server, Madison F., was amazing! I came to IHOP for the first time in awhile, wait time was reasonable for how many guests were coming during a rush. I was pleased to see my favorite menu item- the cinna-stack pancakes. The food was brought out promptly, and it was amazing! Wife and I stopped in 8/12/22 since we were shopping in the complex. Expected the 15 to 20 minute wait to get seated but not the 15 to 20 minutes to get waited on or the 1hr wait after ordering. Inside was not packed. Three tables who came in well after we ordered got served first. Ours had obviously been under the heat lamps for awhile (baked out french toast and pancakes) and the eggs were wrong. Not the first bad experience here. Had a busy day running around, toddler in toe. He was such a trooper I decided it was only fitting that I get him something special. IHOP was right across the street from our last stop and I've never been there before so it seemed like a fun adventure. The place is really clean. The staff was welcoming and friendly, especially our server, a gentleman, was attentive and had a great sense of humor. When he got busy the other servers jumped in and ran out our food order and one even checked in on us as she was passing by. I've worked in restaurants a long time and this is key. When you see coworkers helping each other out being friendly and helpful to tables who aren't even theirs to take care of this is a good restaurant to support. Food was great. So IHOP changed their name, albeit temporarily, to International House of Burgers to highlight their non-breakfast fare. We decided to check it out because if you are staking your name on it those should be some good burgers, right? Um...not so much. I had a Jalapeño burger which was okay. Not terrible but the single slice of lettuce they put on it was twice a big as the burger and didn't add to the experience. They didn't ask how I wanted it cooked and by the length of time it took to make it out to our table I figured it was well done and I was not wrong. I like mine medium so it was not the way I wanted it but it wasn't overly dry so that is a plus. Here is where it gets weird. My wife ordered a classic cheeseburger but wanted to substitute cheddar cheese for the standard American. Our waitress said no problem. When the burgers finally came out it turns out that they indeed put cheddar on the burger...shredded cheddar. This was sub-optimal as it wasn't even completely melted (See picture). So to sum it up. I hate giving very low ratings but this IHOP is probably the worst I have ever been to. We had to ask them to replace 2 drinking glasses not once, not twice but 3 times! Each time they came back with the same dark brown finger prints on the drinking glasses. The staff were apologetic but seriously, 3 times? The servers who looked like high school or college kids were friendly and attentive but it took FOREVER for our food to come out. By the time we got them, they were lukewarm. Last Saturday I met with my family at IHop at Twin Lakes, when we got there I was in a bit of distress from a severe sudden case of heartburn from something I ate earlier in the day, I also have a breathing problem, so, it was a slow entry into the restaurant. My husband (unbeknownst to me) asked the waitress if they had any apple cider vinegar (kills heartburn quickly) and they said no. I recovered and met everyone at the table and about 5 minutes later a girl appeared at our table with a whole brand new bottle of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and said 'here, this is for you, I hope it helps'. This waitress ran all the way to Target and purchased it! Her name is "HOPE". All I can say is, in my life no one has ever done such a nice thing and she didn't even know me!! I wish Hope and her helpers to get promoted, if more people were like this, the world would be so much better. Hope never asked for anything in return. We have been back since and today we got the same service, the food was great as always! I hope IHOP reads this and promotes the people working there, they are all very nice, accommodating and HOPE is a very special girl. Thank you! read more

Avoid. Decided to brave the crowds on a Sunday and go to this IHOP. Should have known when we arrived to see no crowds that we should leave. Tables left unbussed, waittresses high on heavy drugs playing disappearing acts, food overcooked and sloppy. Bacon raw. Absolutely terrible experience. Will not be back. We stopped to eat after a basketball game and had a terrible experience. We walked in to a fairly empty restuarant and waited a long time for someone to greet us and be seated. A young man saw us when we walked in and said hello and then disappered. Once seated it took forever for our drinks and then food to arrive. Waitress overcharged us for one of our meals and when pointed out said oh sorry it is too late. No offer to reinburse us for the overcharge. Very poor customer service. We have eaten here a number of times and never had such a horrible experience. We will not be back. read more
