The work ends up fine, if you stay on them about it. We hired LIT earlier this year to redo our backyard, build a short retaining wall, and lay new sod. We chose them because their bid came in about 30% cheaper than another company. Verbally, I said to redo the whole irrigation system, which wasn't on the bid. Adding that later raised the final price by a couple thousand dollars and I can own that, should have read it more closely...a sign of things to come. There was no drawing, no pre-work visit to discuss specifics, nothing to approve. They showed up on day one and went straight to work, great, but no communication. The wall was starting to be built in the wrong spot. Each day, I had to make it my responsibility to come out and chat about the day's work, what to expect, and how long they'd plan to be there. There was no project management at all from their side. By the end of week 1, I was losing sleep over the project, sprinkler heads were uneven, there was no indication of the appearance of the final product. The owner came by that Monday to work it out with all of us. In the end, the work looked good but it was tough sledding to get to that point. After they left, I had to clean, by hand, the backside of the short wall they had installed. They left behind concrete, roots, and rock, which looked like a garbage pile. I pulled out handful after handful, sifted it, and replaced the clean rock to make it look intentional. The sprinklers they installed were aimed incorrectly and a small triangle of sod died. They are coming out later this month to correct it. What I'm seeing now is holes, low spots, ditches forming in front of the sprinkler heads. Showing the soil underneath was put down in a sub-par manner. Mowing the lawn reminds me of how much I dislike how it all turned out. The owner said it straight to me that he knew "we'd be picky" because he saw the work my wife and I had done, ourselves, at our house. He said it looked professional. Appreciate that, thanks. Their work was not. Our neighbor (who does landscape work for a living) told us that my wife and I would have done a better job. In the end, I agreed. I did not enjoy my time working with Larry. Almost 10 k to repair an existing system. Over priced. They charged me 5500 dollars for one day of work with two employees...

I rarely write a bad review. However, this company cost me so much money, time and stress, I hope to steer others clear of this experience. I hired them to fix a leak in my irrigation system, install a hydrant faucet, and put a drip system into my raised garden beds. 1) The drip system in raised beds: The contract was to install a drip system into my raised beds. They came and routed plumbing to each bed, then left all the drip lines in a heap on the side of the beds. I called the owner, and he said he was having trouble getting the guys to 'finish the jobs'. They came back and installed the drip lines into each bed. 2) The hydrant: They installed a new hydrant faucet. After only 1 year, the area in front of the faucet started flooding. When we dug down to the bottom of the hydrant, there was a cheap plastic piece of pipe connecting the hydrant to our well line. It was easy to see why it broke. I called this company 3 times, but they wouldn't return my call, so we just finished replacing it--paying out of our pockets. 3) The leak: The first visit, the guy said there was no leak--it was 'just the rain'. Two weeks (of dry weather) later, my porch is flooded, and I had them come back. They dug up part of my front lawn and said it was fixed. My porch was still flooding. So they came, did some more digging and said it was in a leak between the well and the house and I'd need to hire a professional leak detection service. I did this, and $1,000 later, they confirmed there was no leak between the well and the house. During this search for the leak, one of the L&I guys found a valve and asked me what it did. I didn't know, but asked him not to touch it. One month later, my pasture is flooding, and we spent $2000 trying to figure out where the leak was coming from. We finally figured out the irrigation valve (that I told the guy not to touch) drained the entire irrigation system. He had turned the valve and left it draining for 1 month! Bottom line, I fired this company and hired a competent irrigation company and they immediately found the leak in the irrigation manifold. I have never had such a stressful, expensive experience with any company I've hired! read more

I had not prepared my irrigation system for the winter before cold weather hit, so I was hoping I would not have to wait too long before a technician could be sent out. The office person, Jennifer, was very professional and pleasant. She was actually able to schedule a crew to arrive within hours of my call. The technician, Nick, was also a pleasure to deal with. He bled the water from the pipes and turned off the system for the winter. I was very pleased with this company's service. Their staff are both professional and courteous, and they are very responsive to their customers' needs. And, their prices are reasonable, too. I plan to call them for any future needs. read more

I had some sprinkler head issues and left a message to see if they could do a small job for me. At my surprise, Larry called me shortly after my posting and he was able to have someone come out to my house within a few hours. The technician "Gin" was professional, friendly, and resolved my issues in a short period of time. He explained the problem I was having and how he would be able to repair them to satisfy my request.
