Delish excellent food service and ambiance. Our favorite place to eat Thai. Always fresh and perfectly cooked. Love it here

The food is always delicious. My favorite is the tropical fried rice with pineapple and chicken. I like the small intimate ambiance. The service is quick and friendly. They offer 6% off, when you pay in cash.

I was a bit iffy about coming here due to the reviews but I was so glad to try this spot out. The prices for each dish is very reasonable and not as expensive as the other Thai locations in SI. At around 6pm on a Tuesday there was quite a few people wiating for their orders to takeout and dine in. Service is a bit slower due to the very limited amount of staff members that work here. The food and drinks are amazing and I can't believe I didn't come here sooner. I'll definitely come back whenever I'm craving for some Thai cuisine.

Forest on Thai is a place that stands out as one of the only true Thai restaurants on Staten Island. Their soups were made with more herbs than you'd get at most Asian takeouts. The same can be said for their noodle plates, which I found to have more herbs and more of an overall home-cooked touch to them than most of the noodles you get at takeout joints. What truly sets this place apart from most Thai takeout restaurants on Staten Island is the variety of their meat selection. As a pescaterian, I found many options on the menu, and they even make their seafood fried rice with real crab ! I ordered a Yellow Curry Scallops dish which was absolutely delicious. They make it with baby scallops, and for $11, the portion was fairly large. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's surely going to satisfy your appetite and the quality is great for the price.

I almost didn't order from here because there were no reviews, but I'm so glad I took a chance. It's a decent Thai place on the island when there aren't a lot of options to pick from. Got the shrimp shumai, Thai spring rolls, beef pad see eew, chicken pad Thai, and Thai iced tea. The staff was super friendly at pickup. My 7 year old picky eater loved it. We will be back!

I ordered takeout and found a METAL WIRE in my food

I've been a customer at Forest Thai for over a year and generally always order delivery and sure they've forgotten a salad or two once and it's a forgivable offense because the rest of the food is usually pretty tasty. However, I recently ordered with my friend and I was about halfway through eating my food when I found a spiral METAL wire in my food. It looked like something that would hold a bag of potatoes together. I immediately stopped eating and told my friend. Had I ingested that, I could have torn my esophagus or worse. And god forbid something like that be found in a child's meal. I called the restaurant to let them know and they flat out denied something like that could happen, and I'm like well it did, and my meal and my friends food is now ruined because I'd rather not have to sort through a minefield while I'm eating. The management was rude and said they would refund half of my meal... complete joke. When TWO meals were ruined and I could have ended up in the hospital. The manager didn't even offer an apology. I'll be going to Noodlefan from now on. Had they handled the situation better, I would have remained a customer.

My opinion, think this might be the only authentic Thai spot on staten island. I would recommend this spot to anyone.

We both enjoyed our entrees very much. The string beans were cooked well and delicious. My only disappointment was the dumplings. They were flavored very well, but were what I like to call "Staten Island Dumplings" in that they were way too heavy with a thick wrapper. I prefer the thin wrapper, softer type of dumpling. Service was adequate but otherwise unremarkable. We will eat here again.

The decor has not been updated in a long time but it doesn't look it's age either. It's clean Asian themed decor. Service is efficient, not particularly warm but not bad. I ventured outside my normal choice and I won't be doing that again. My usual go to is the egg rolls, pineapple fried rice and I add shrimp for my drink I ask for pineapple juice and coconut rum. This time I ordered pan fried noodles with seafood and the frozen mango margarita. I was disappointed, the dish lacked the flavor I was expecting and so did the cocktail. My husband had our usual and he was very happy, our friends had the chicken pad Thai and mango mojito and they were also very happy. Next time, I'm going back to my usual order lol.

The spicy Kani salad was alright, tasted more like cold slaw with a few pieces of avocado. It was $6 and I didn't know until I ordered it. I definitely would not get that again. I want to try their teriyaki chicken though! Service: the servers were nice and wait was about 5-7 minute pretty average. Price; the quickgrill was $8 and Cali roll was $4-5. I would go during happy hour 2:30-5:30 to get the regular rolls. Again my kani salad was a purchase I regret getting. Vibe; casual interior, you go up to order and then wait for it. I think it's a good sushi spot on the island, and definitely would come back for that chicken (saw others have it and smelled bomb!!!)

Prices here are not bad at all. I ordered the chicken bento meal up at the counter and it was out fairly fast and the counter guy was pretty friendly. The food? I didn't expect a five star meal, but they gave me exactly what I wanted and it was a good serving size. There's no reason NOT to give them a try if you're in the area.
