    C5. Sesame Chicken Combo
    David A.

Wack horrible don't even taste like sesame it taste like orange. Where is the meat??? $13.00 for this little a$& plate. Ok a person that don't know portions would be happy to get ripped off. This does not even complete a combo in the hood. $11 would have gotten me a full plate more meat. More rice. The designer plate takes away from the food you should be getting. Cheap on the sesame. How do cheat on the seeds. At least make it look I am getting a lot by covering it up with seeds. This place gets 0 stars if there was a option for it. Now I know what they gave the dumpling sauce for free paid for it with this garbage. These plazas in this time and age are getting worse and worse. Place looks like a rub and tug. So in a way you are getting f$&@ed!!!

    Sesame Chicken w/ brown rice

Ordered Sesame Chicken w/brown rice. It was very very chewy and stringy almost choked on it. Out of frustration called the restaurant and kindly let them know. They told me "its fresh." Which is fine but still doesn't change the fact that it's not enjoyable, safe or nice to eat. Offered me another order or $5 credit. Which is what I gave to delivery alone. So tired of overpaying for garbage. They wouldn't even consider a refund. Use Jade Island or Oriental Plaza they're much better.

Eggplant with Chicken. SO delicious! Its a must try!

I haven't eaten inside since I was a kid and they were in another location, but I'm always more than satisfied with their food and service. I always liked that they offered Chinese tea for the sit-in guests, though I'm not sure if they still do. I'm sure the decor has changed since they moved locations, but it's likely just as nice as it used to be. The General Tso's chicken has been my favorite since I was young and this place has the best General Tso's sauce (and chicken) I've ever tasted. It's flavorful and abundant--not just cooked in the sauce, but almost smothered in it, so you can actually taste it. There is nothing lacking. Their sesame chicken is my runner-up and is always delicious, as well. I don't know what I'd do if this place ever closed. I have had Chinese food in a variety of places in several states and nothing compares to the wonderful tastes this place offers. It's so good I almost wish I hadn't moved eight hours away. Thank you for being consistent with your food and for serving the community so well for so many years. I would leave a picture, but it was so good that I finished the food before finishing typing this.

The mapo tofu, green beans, twice cooked pork, and spicy (lazi) chicken were very flavorful. I thought the mala levels were just right, but it may be on a bit on the lighter side compared to authentic. They don't take online reservations for groups over 5, so we called to make one for our group of 6. It was pretty busy Friday night, so would recommend. The service was great; they drew the cutest card when they found out it was my brother's birthday and let us bring a cake. And they also offered hair ties to the people with long hair. You order through an iPad which has a beautiful menu.

I wish the sauce was sweeter though since the flavor was more j spicy/ salty. I think a different sauce like a hoisin chili combo would make the dish a lot tastier. They have a variety of sichuan dishes. I wasn't a huge fan of the swing pork belly since it's served cold and mostly tastes like cucumber- it was lacking flavor for me even with the red sauce/oil. The sour cabbage beef soup was interesting! It tasted nice and beefy, but was a bit too sour for me. The lemon dessert was my favorite! It was a cheesecake mousse with lemon curd in the middle~ so pretty and tasty! Service was top tier! I'd recommend coming here for the vibes!

The food wasn't bad, actually quite tasty but I guess my taste buds are used to the more unhealthy, "fake" American Chinese food. Moreover, the server was nice but it was evident her English was a bit lacking so when I asked for a lychee martini, she kept pointing to martini but didn't know what I meant by lychee (so I went for a cosmo instead no biggie). The food came out pretty fast once ordered but any questions we had about the dishes were answered rather ambiguously and when we wanted some chili oil/more napkins we had to kind of hunt the server down. And it was weird because the restaurant really wasn't that busy on a Sunday afternoon. So, overall I still enjoyed my birthday (would've been nice to kinda get called on it especially since the server "checked" my ID but again maybe she didn't really look at it), and I don't think I'd rush to try this restaurant again. However, it's still worth at least a first try! The soup was my favorite dish, very herbal flavors. Heavy on lemongrass so if you're expecting something a bit less fragrant like pho or ramen you probably wouldn't like the soup here.

We were given an iPad and ordered the following: Preserved eggs mixed with tofu - Hubs and Daughter loved this a lot, especially the century eggs. She said that she wished that the bowl was bigger. Hubs said that he would've preferred the buffalo fish because he thought it tasted better. But, it was too many bones for Daughter and I, so he got the stripe bass instead. This was delicious! It was nice and spicy but not too spicy. Just the right amount. We also ordered white rice, but we only got a bowl and was hoping for more. They were generous with the instant noodle, though. It came in a small casserole pot. Hubs love this place. He loves the presentation of the fish with sides surrounding it in a big rectangular heated platter. There's this big wall of video going on with karaoke for those who are interested in singing. There was only one other table dining when we were there, so no one was singing during that time. Starting off, the numbing szechuan chicken was my least favorite of the dishes - the pieces of chicken were really tiny and there were a lot of peppercorns. I wish they made the pieces of chicken slightly larger as it was irritating to slowly pick it out towards the end of finishing it. Now, what went well were the stone pot with the fish. Normally not a huge fan of fish, so if I can enjoy eating fish a place has done well in preparing it. The soup was really flavorful and everyone at my table enjoyed it. The sweet and sour pork was also nice. The breading was crispy and the sauce had a nice tangy flavor to it and the texture was interestingly satisfying. The grilled beef ribs and bao buns were one of my favorite. The beef rib was very tender and went well with the buns and condiments that were provided.
