Googled nail salons open on Sundays & this place came up. It's close, convenient & open on Sundays. It was the quickest pedicure I've ever had (sat under the heat light in about 20 minutes). I didn't feel lile the technician did a great job, however, I don't do my own mani/pedi, so whatever she did was more than I would have put forth the effort to do. This nail salon is new to the area but they've definitely won my sister and I over. We were greeted and asked if we wanted something to drink and they let us soak while we waited our turn. We looked around and everything was spotless, which is hard to come by nowadays. We were serviced and the technicians were really paying attention to details such as nail length and making sure the nail polish was lathered well. Overall, service is great, nails look spectacular. Absolutely remarkable, in both customer service and services provided ;D Got here about 25 minutes late for our "Couple's Massage" appointment; they greeted us at the door, welcoming, with smiling faces and sweet personalities, informing us that because we were late, someone has taken our time slot - no problem and completely understandable :) Instead of having is reschedule, they set us up for the appointment that would have us our massage in about 30-45 min wait time; we excitedly agreed, and they offered for us to have a seat in the spa-massage chairs and receive the chair massages while we wait ;D That loosened us up, and in about 45 minutes, it was our turn~ Lead to a back room with dim lighting and peaceful music, we were given the privacy of the room to undress and prepare ourselves in the table for our hour long massages. The massage was QUITE thorough, focusing on all parts of the body, from neck to toe. I got the deep tissue massage, and it was exactly what I needed. The sweet little masseuse did everything in her power to work out the kinks, even going as far as to climb in my back and use her entire body to get the knots out - this shit was very, VERY impressive :O! She even did some chiropractic shit and backed my back on both sides with some manipulative maneuvers, and continued to proceed with a hot stone massage towards the last 15 minutes or so! BEWARE OF THEIR EYELASH EXTENSIONS! I received mink eyelash extensions using a Groupon three weeks ago. Upon entering the small room, I was asked by the woman what kind of extensions I wanted. Thought it was odd as I made an appointment weeks in advance specifying what I would like. Reminded her again that I was there to get a full set of mink eyelashes and also added that I don't have naturally long lashes (they are neither short nor long) so I would like something that looks natural. The process was quicker than expected - around 35-40 minutes. My lashes looked voluminous and something off of an Instagram post when I walked out. I was in love with them even though they were a bit more dramatic than what I wanted. They remained in tact and did not shed at all the first couple days. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they held up and also received many compliments. Needless to say, I thought I found my go-to place for lashes. Another week passed by and some extensions began to fall out. Unfortunately I noticed that the extensions falling out weren't individual lashes at all but clusters! And attached to those clusters were 2-5 of my natural lashes! Over the course of the week, I found more of my natural lashes coming off with the many chunks of clusters. Not to mention that the clusters were glued to multiple of my own lashes causing irritation to my lash line in addition to them falling off prematurely. I spent the next two days panicking and researching all my options. I finally decided to bite the bullet and spend $30 at a reputable lash studio to get them removed for fear of causing more damage if I waited for them to fall off on their own. The lash technician at this studio was horrified to see that such heavy clusters were used on my lashes as they were clearly too heavy and long for me. She added that clusters are rarely ever used for extensions and a real lash technician would have taken my lash health into consideration when deciding what lashes to use. When the removal was completed, I opened my eyes to half of my lashes gone with the remaining lashes being super fine and short. I was told that the lashes I have now aren't even healthy enough for extensions! I am beyond upset at what have become of my lashes and this experience made me want to swear off lash extensions altogether. Based on the comments here it seems that this place is decent for manicures and pedicures. It might be best that they stick to what they're good at and not services they are clearly not trained to provide. read more

The mani-pedi was great. What I didn't like is the sign posted near the register with "suggested" tips. I always tip people that provide a service to me. I had a $35 service (regular price). The suggested tip sign had a frowny face for $10, a meh face for $15, a smile for $20, and a huge grin for $25. I think a $10 tip on a $35 service is a good tip. I asked for rounded nails and the technician gave me coffin like nails; the nails are also very uneven in some areas and missing polish in other. Beautiful location but inexperienced staff. I've been here once or twice before, but today was my absolute last day. Made an appointment, nd they took me on time. A lady proceeded to do my pedicure and it literally takes her 10min to clip my toe nails. She keeps switching utensils like the item was broken. Then she files my toenails unevenly, and barely cuts by of the cuticle. I hate to complain about bad service, but I politely asked if they could find someone else to complete my pedicure. 15-20 past, and a gentleman finishes it. He cleans up the cuticle, but the effort is half assed. Maybe they were annoyed because I asked for a different tech? Who knows!! I clearly wont be returning here. Pedicures are a way of relaxation for me, so I'm upset with myself for not going to normal spot. When it comes to getting eye brows and nails done I'm very picky but I wanted to give this place a try. The first time I went was to get my eye brows waxed and it was a mistake the lady that did my eye brows she ended up waxing more on the right side and the left sided ended looking shorter I ended up going to get my eye brows fixed some where else that same day. The second time was to get a no chip mani and pedi they charge me 70.00 which is not a problem if they did a good job. The nail tech ends up cutting me while she was removing cuticles from my nails it started bleeding she said sorry which is fine, but the over all work I did not like I wanted coffin shape and I ended up getting different shapes on my nails, my nails weren´t evenly shape, and my nails had little bubbles in them when they dried. I tried calling the nail place and look for the manager and every time I called the man that answers it always says no manager here. The girl did a good job on my Mani pedicure but this is winter Chicago where socks and boots are very necessary. Hello my name is Cassie, Cindy did my eyelashes and eyebrow tattoo on January 4th around 1:30. She is very sweet and I have no complaints on her whatsoever, the tattooing process went good, even the eyelashes mink semi permanent. Anyways, I'm disappointed in the mink eyelashes I was told they will last 3-4 weeks if I don't wash my face and take proper care which I have and these eyelashes are cheaply made because right after a few days of getting them, they instantly started poking me because the glue came off and then I had to go two times again over to the salon out of my way to get them readjusted and still they weren't looking that attractive. So I'm disappointed I really would like my money back for the mink eyelashes because the quality is cheap they are seventy five dollars I spend for eyelashes that don't even stay on properly. After a really great experience as a walk-in on Christmas Eve, I made an APPOINTMENT for a pedicure a week later. I came in on time to find the person I had requested (Ivy), just midway through a pedicure (or so I thought). Turns out she took on a pedi/mani 10 minutes before my appointment. I soaked for 10 minutes, then was asked if I could wait 10 more. Well, 30 minutes of soaking is my limit, and when I complained, Ivy handed over the remainder of the manicure to another coworker. Ok, so I hoped this was an isolated incident. Then I made an APPOINTMENT with Ivy for a manicure today. I called on Friday and asked for a 1:00 on Sunday, but I was told she was booked but could I come at 2:00. I said ok - I really like Ivy's work. Well, I showed up at 2:00 only to be told Ivy was doing another cosmetic client that would take 40 minutes. What? I specifically called to book with Ivy, was told to come in an hour later, but now was told to wait 40 minutes?! Well, just so everyone is on the same page - walk-ins are welcome but scheduled appointments are not honored. If you have something important that day, as I did, DO NOT rely on a prescheduled appointment to mean anything. I waited 40 minutes for a polish change instead of a manicure-no discount. I watched another client come in and experience the exact sand thing - checked in for an APPOINTMENT at 2:45 - then told at 3:00 that it'll be another 20 minutes, and she walked out. Bought a Groupon 30 min sauna and 60 min couples massage. Walked in for our appointment at 4pm and the lady looked surprised and quickly put us in the sauna room. The sauna wasn't even turned on and ready to go. 15-20 min into the sauna session the masseuse came in asking if we can start the massage. We were seated on the massage tables at 4:25pm and the massage was awful. This was supposed to be a swedish deep tissue massage but it felt like I was just being gently rubbed. This review is for massage services only. I found this salon through Groupon, after my boyfriend and I returned from a hiking trip and had a lot of muscle pains. I bought the 60 minute massage and 30 minute sauna deal, excited to try a new place and get my first couple's massage. Unfortunately, everything about this experience was disappointing and downright terrible. We were not greeted when we walked in, until a nail technician spotted us and grabbed someone else, who then pointed to the benches in the front and said "sit, sit!" Literally no one said a simple "hello" to us. After waiting a bit, we were brought to the back room, where the lady showed us the sauna first and then the massage tables, and left us in the massage room. She spoke broken English, which I understand and is usually fine, but in this case, we had a lot of difficulty understanding what they wanted us to do. I think she was very kind, but there was just a really difficult language barrier here. We thought we'd be starting with the massages, so we undressed and laid on the tables. We waited for a good 15 minutes until I finally dressed and went out to find someone. Turns out they wanted us to start with the sauna. A bit peeved, we went to sit in the sauna, which was decent, but uncomfortable. There was nowhere to lean your back except on the areas emitting heat, and my boyfriend came out with a huge red mark on his back. The whole time, upbeat korean pop music was playing, which is the exact opposite of relaxing music. Someone also cooked really stinky fish in the microwave nearby. Honestly, it was extremely distracting and annoying, and not what you want when you're paying for a relaxing sauna/massage. But the absolute worst part was the massages, if you can even call them that. My masseur had no clue what he was doing, and he basically just rubbed lotion/oil on my body for an hour. It looked like he was taking instructions from my boyfriend's masseuse, because I could tell he was copying her movements. He did not put any pressure on my muscles, did not focus on an specific areas at all, and in fact it seemed like he didn't even know where my muscles were. My boyfriend's masseuse would ask him if he wanted light or hard pressure, asked if she could touch his face, put hot stones on his back, etc., but my masseur did not say one single word to me the entire time. She seemed to be a tad more experienced than my masseur, but still did not use normal massage techniques. He said her movements were much too rapid, and she was shaking him at certain parts. She even pulled down his boxers (the only item of clothing he was wearing) and massaged his bare butt, which she did not ask his permission to do. Honestly it was just weird, rude, and made him uncomfortable. Oh, and my masseur stuck his fingers in my ears. No thank you. Throughout our lackluster "massages", the upbeat pop music was playing, you could hear the phone ringing and being answered in the salon, random beeping noises, and other customers coming in for nail services. This was not a relaxing massage environment at all. To top it off, our masseuses kept talking to each other in another language throughout the massages. This would have been fine if it was for a business reason, but it clearly wasn't because they outright LAUGHED multiple times. Not only was this distracting, but it was just plain rude. They also both left the room many times to get various supplies - a chair, rags and towels, hots stones, etc. without ever telling us what they were doing or where they were going. That should have all been ready to go in the room before we started, or they should have told us they would be leaving the room and returning. In the end, I left this place more stressed out than when I walked in. I truly don't think either person was a certified massage therapist. I'm never one to leave a bad review unless it really wasn't a good experience, and sadly, this was just all around awful. I also always leave a tip for any service, even if it's not that great, but I just could not justify tipping either masseuse for the terrible service we received. If I hadn't bought this service through Groupon, I would have hesitated to pay anything at all. I came here a few weeks ago to get a no chip, I absolutely loved it. To be quite honest my no chip has lasted 3 weeks. Today I came back to the biggest disappointment, I scheduled 3 pedicures. From the time we were scheduled it took them 40 minutes to eventually take care of us. When they finally took me in the girl who was going to do my pedi kept on talking to other people and it took her 15 minutes to finally get to my pedicure. Then same story, when she was doing my pedicure she was too busy talking that she was not paying attention and she clipped a piece of my skin, which hurt a lot and I told her. She did apologize but then she had another friend come and once again she was not paying attention to what she was doing, she just kept on having a conversation with this girl. The pedi was half-assed and it is a huge disappointment. I had brought 3 of my friends to try this place because I raved about it but I probably will not be recommending this place to anybody. Oh, also they do not sanitize their nail tools. I saw this girl take the same tools from the chair next to me.
