Logistics there could be a bit tricky, so we really wanted someone who new the location. Are we glad we did! From beginning to end, the process could not have been smoother. We worked primarily with Shelley, and she really made the entire process, from planning, to more planning, to more planning, to even more planning still, to deliveries, to pick-ups, to clean up, to our final dried and framed bouquets, a breeze. She was really patient with all of our questions and changes. In the end, the flowers were PERFECT! They did an arch for the ceremony, lanterns for the aisle, flowers for the tables, wedding party, and even strung bistro lights outside for the reception. They had plenty of good ideas, although it really was my wife's vision, and they made it come to fruition with precise execution. The end results were stunning. My husband and I used Forever in Bloom for our wedding reception on August 6, 2016 at the Stone Mill House in the NYBG. We live in Manhattan, so getting up to Mount Kisco was not exactly convenient for the two meetings we had with Shelley, but it was well worth it. During the first meeting with Shelley she listened to what our vision was. She put together a 'flexible' quote for us since there were some items we were not sure we wanted to include. Approximately 6 weeks before our wedding she put together a 'mock' table to show us what our floral arrangements would approximately look like. This was incredibly helpful because we could see how the flowers looked together with the rustic pieces and candles we requested. We were able to give her direction to remove certain flower types and add more of other things. The day of, Shelley and her staff did an incredible job with our venue. Everything looked amazing! We worked with Shelley for our wedding and she was fantastic! In addition to providing a wonderful finished product, she was very respectful of our budget (we didn't want to spend a fortune on flowers) and worked with all of our requests (like having low centerpieces that people could see over rather than huge ones). I came to our first meeting with photos of bouquets that incorporated the colors I wanted (white, pale green, and burgundy) and she turned my colors into a vision for the whole wedding. She was familiar with our venue (Highlands Country Club) so she was able to recommend where we would and wouldn't need flowers. Everything was exquisite: the centerpieces, bouquets, aisle markers, large ceremony pieces, and vases on the mantles. My dress had a very prominent floral sash and I didn't want my bouqet to detract from it; she designed one that was the perfect size (not too huge) and had a great mix of textures and different shades of white. Really perfect! I can't tell you how many compliments we got on the flowers; people were raving about them. They were so unique and worked perfectly with the space. The flowers were absolutely beautiful, as was the wedding at the Castle last weekend. At the end of the evening I told the manager that I would be taking all the leftover flowers in the morning. On my way to breakfast I saw him again and he told me they were still there....after breakfast they were gone! I was so distressed, called Forever in Bloom store, was closed on Sunday, my husband looked in dumpsters at The Castle and they weren't there. I called Deans house and his wife said they were thrown out in the dumpster at the shop!!!!! We drove 45 minutes to get there, most were there, many roses were missing. I remade the arrangements at home and brought some to my daughter and son in laws house so they'd have them when they came home from honeymoon. The only bad part of the wedding, don't know why anyone would toss beautiful flowers ? Especially when he knew I was in the Garden Club and have a landscaping company with my husband here in CT.
