We just used H&H for the 3rd time for a large family celebration. From the start of the day till the end, Rob, the photographer was everywhere and anywhere getting amazing shots of all of the members of the family. He was patient with difficult family members and organized and creative. His goal was to get the best photos and he was amazing. The videographer was also amazing and captured the entire party. The pre-shoot pictures, done by another photographer, Eric, were also amazing and Eric was also extremely patient and creative and got terrific shots. Working through Larry, the owner, was also extremely easy and a pleasure. H&H is a class act! read more

We went ahead with H&H for our wedding in July of 2010. We had Eric. The poses he had us do were super unnatural and...not having been married before we did not get all the pictures we needed with typical family members. We really would have liked some guidance since as the groom with my new bride: there was no way we would have remembered who we need for photos. Then came the photos and video. Blah! Our friends took way better pictures in both quality and poses! The video was like something from 1980. Static and horrible audio. Again- better stuff came from our family than the videographer. Our friend got married in October and we are now seeing their videos and photos. Our friends used non-fulltime photo/videographers and got 200% better quality than we did with H&H. Sigh. I'm not on a mission to destroy these guys or anything- I'm sure they'll do just fine. However, I would hate to see anyone out there be as dissatisfied as we were. read more

I'm surprised to read some of the previous comments. I had a wonderful experience with H&H Photographers. In our initial meeting with Dan he took so much time to review the packages, show us samples of his different photographers work and describe their personalities so we could see who best fit our vision for the day. He introduced us to the two photographers in the studio that day and always followed-up promptly on any questions. They offered with my package a free engagement shoot---TAKE IT! Even if you don't want the pictures, it's a great way to meet your photographer that way you can see their style, samples of their work and decide prior to your wedding day whether you like them or not. There are several photographers on staff and each one I met was lovely. Eric was wonderful in handling all of our requests. He showed up at 6am ON TIME and didn't stop shooting all day. He had me make a list prior to the wedding of all the people I wanted photos with or of (important family shots, friends, etc). He worked very inconspicuously with my maid of honor to make sure he got EVERY shot I asked for. He then went the extra mile and took tons of pictures of my guests and even the band. He even stopped with our limo driver in the middle of the street to take a picture in front of a street sign my husband and I asked to photograph. H & H is worth the visit to meet in person. I used H & H Photographers for my wedding. The staff was very professional and great to work with. One of the assistants, Kat, was very personable and checked in with us throughout the process. When we realized it was going to rain on our wedding day, Kat was right on top of that. She called us a few days prior to the date to discuss options to make sure we would have the proper lighting for the weather conditions. Our photographer, Fred, was very easy to work with and had a great deal of experience. He also had a fun way to get everyone to smile and captured many memorable moments. About one month after the wedding, we received a video of some of the photo highlights, which was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. We were able to send it to family, friends and post it on Facebook. Dan is also a really great guy to work with and was very attentive. Our photos and the photo album were ready rather quickly. We were also given some additional promotional photos and a calendar, which was a great plus. This venue was worth the money spent and we would use them again for a big event. read more

Back in 2005, I was put in charge of finding a photographer for my cousin's Bar Mitzvah. H & H was recommended by a colleague and so I went in to meet with them. From the beginning, I was impressed with the staff's professionalism, ideas, and reassurance that we were in good hands. As a videographer, myself, I noted that Dan was understanding and forthcoming with the process and had scores of examples to show. We used H&H for an event in March of 2012 for both photos and video. The photographer was discrete, professional, engaged, very active in getting the right shot at the right angle and was always using the right equipment. The photos were unbelievably great. We used H&H Photographers for our wedding 9/19/2014. To start by saying my husband and I are terrible photo takers. We were a little concerned with our wedding and was hoping that we would at least have a couple good pictures of us. From the moment we met with H&H we loved the great vibe and level of professionalism. Leading up to our wedding we had a couple location changes, which H&H was very patient and was able to accommodate us. They day of the wedding these guys were on the ball. First they arrived early and it worked out perfect because we were not rushed for pictures and everything flowed perfectly. The whole day was perfect. A couple of weeks after the wedding we received a video collage of some photos to music. This video brought us to tears. It is absolutely beautiful. We received so many compliments regarding this video. I would highly recommend adding this feature to your package. Weeks later we met again to get a disk of all of our photos and given directions on how to upload our photos for our album. This process was so easy and user friendly. Looking at all the pictures I have never seen anything like it. Not only did H&H somehow make my husband and I look like we enjoy taking pictures, they captured the best shots ever. We had pictures done on the beach at our wedding venue and these pictures turned out absolutely stunning. Yesterday I went to pick up our wedding album and the 8x12 shots. Here H&H gave us a calendar with our wedding pictures. I thought this was such a nice surprise. The quality of the album and the pictures are unbelievable. We are very very happy with everything. We used H&H for our wedding in 2012. We loved every second of working with them from our engagement pictures to wedding photos. Finding a great photo studio is a tough decision to make. When We got engaged we decided to go with the best photographer recommended to us by our wedding venue at VIP in westchester who recommended H&H photography. We checked the reviews on wedding wire and it sounded great. We worked with Kat at the studio who was incredibly attentive to all the details of our wedding. They are all super friendly and easy to work with. We decided to go with Fred to be our photographer and he did an excellent job. He has a ton of experience and knows exactly what he's doing. We unexpectedly got a video preview of our photos and it was quite awesome. Our book came out pretty fast and the quality met all our expectations. I used H & H photographers for my wedding because my wedding venue highly recommended them. What-a-bad-mistake! I was not happy with my photos at all. When I asked them to edit the photos they had the nerve to ask me what should be edited. They are the professionals. The lead photography was unprofessional and gave poor guidance. The whole day was a mess because of the photographer. I will say that the assistant photog was trying to help and to redirect the day. I have only viewed my wedding album twice. To be honest I don't remember where I even put it. It is embarassing to show people the poor quality of the pictures and it brings back bad memories. Aside from the poor quality photos, the owner/salesperson is sooo dishonest. He makes you feel inferiorty and he is unwilling to listen to concerns. About a year after I had the awful encounters with H&H, I came across an article which detailed a man was suing H&H for their poor photography service. It solidified that it wasn't only me that had an issue with them. Keep looking. read more

My husband and I got married in January of 2006. Due to life events, both good and bad, we were never able to order our wedding pictures. To my surprise, our consultant, Dan Fried, remembered us and continued the excellent level of customer service we experienced almost seven years ago. Each person I talked to at the office reassured me and talked me down from the ledge as I was so worried that too much time had passed to order our pictures. Now, I am not advocating one waits that long, but the fact that H&H Photographers was still able to satisfy our order and demonstrate exemplar customer service just warms my heart. I can remember back in 2005 when my father, now deceased, and I went to their old location to see their studio. My father was almost like my wedding planner, weighing in on the important matters, since my mother had passed years before. The minute we saw samples of H&H Photography's work we knew there was no debate. We HAD to go with them. In fact, my dad was so touched by one of the video samples we saw that he literally got teary eyed, which speaks volumes to the quality of work. On our actual wedding day the staff was punctual, professional, fun and caring. They even humored my strong preference to avoid certain poses that I perceived as stereotypical. We not only used them for the photography, but also videography. The staff was AMAZING!!! I can't say enough good things about H&H Photographers. We are excitedly looking forward to reliving our wedding moments, yet again, with the help of our albums soon to be delivered. You cannot go wrong with these photographers. I am pretty shocked too. I had an incredible experience with H and H Photographers. Even before our wedding, Dan was unbelievably easy to work with. He catered to our budget and was nothing but kind, patient and extremely informative with what was included. At our engagement shoot (included), Eric, our phtographer was essentially most professional yet made the shoot so much fun. We were even allowed to have our dog in some of the pictures. The pictures came out great. They also had one printed out for our wedding. The wedding itself....Eric (photographer), Craig (the videographer) and MiuMiu (spelling) (the assistant) showed up early which really put my mind at ease as it was one less thing to worry about. Our wedding party was 25 people with 8 children from 1-11 years old included. Somehow, I'm not sure how, but they were able to get everyone together and either smiling or making some great pictures with funny faces. I think weddings are tough because there are so many different personalities coming together t celebrate you and your partners joining as one. And I give numerus accolades for the three representatives from H and H for making everyone have a great time while still completing the task of getting the pictures. They took amazing pictures of the grounds, chuppah, children, grown ups, guests. They captured everything and shot some gorgeous individual and artistic shots of the attendees. This photography studio has been in bussiness for longer than I've been alive!! They have really kept up with the most advanced technology. They photographed my wedding 34 years ago, my son's Bar Mitzphas and weddings and now my Grandson. Most of my friends have used them as well. As a photographer finding a wedding photographer to shoot my own wedding was a pretty scary decision. I was very fortunate that someone recommended H+H photographers! They were AMAZING! My main challenge was planing my wedding was the distance because I live upstate and my wedding was in Westchester. Do NOT use these photographers! Upon meeting and greeting, my sales person could not have been nicer. But, when it came to delivering, I found them to be dishonest and outright liers. When I tried to talk to them about my 'issues,' they were obnoxious and just plain didn't care. My wedding photos did not come out well and the photographer neglected to take photos of most of my guests. WIth SO many other photographers around, save yourself a headache. read more

You could tell how good a company really is based on how they operate in times of adversity. With just a few weeks prior to our daughter's bat mitzvah, our photographer had to be let go from the company. H&H replaced her with an even better photographer, which shows their bench strength and ability to come through no matter what happens. Our photographer, Brooke Ismach, was absolutely incredible. We just got our album back and we were blown away. Good news is that we had plenty of shots to fill an album, bad news is that there were so many amazing shots it was very difficult to get it down to a reasonable number for an album.I guess that's a good problem to have and all the moments she captured was more vivid than our own memories. Dan helped us make the album extraordinary by adding in some extra shots in the backgrounds and as transitions in the album which we would have never thought of ourselves. Then the finished album, made in Italy, has stunning craftsmanship and quality beyond our expectation. We used them for our video as well which was also well done and didn't require anything from us other than selecting four songs. We plan to use H&H for our next two daughters bat mitzvah and then their weddings too! read more

I wish my review would show in the top 4 and do not understand why it becomes "hidden" and 2 negative, really old reviews show. If anyone has had a negative experience with H&H, in the past, and I can't understand why they would, people should look at current reviews. Everything was so perfect, and eventhough the weather turned out not to our benefit, Andrea was able to make us all at ease and make the best of the weather. It will be so hard choosing for our albums. The pictures are posted on Pictage which allows whomever we want to be able to see them, see them, and order what they want. We were given 2 discs with all the pictures that we can use as we want to. The fact that the entire crew was with us for 12 hours, and shot pictures for 12 hours, with energy has to say more than I can. I used H&H for my December 23, 2012. These guys were great. We had a large wedding party of 28 people and my husband and I. We were looking for great posed pics as well as candid shots. We had 220 guests and 27 children under 12. The bridal party was 8 adult couples 3 JR couples (ages 8-11) and baby couples (ages 2-6). Fred was amazing, he got us all together arranged the best shot and delivered. We have not seen all the photos yet but they ones we have are incredible. He was professional and kept the night moving. He came with a emergency kit. We needed bobby pins for the veil, he had them. A dress starting falling apart and fred to the rescue again with safty pins. He and his assistant were incredible. The videographer was all over the place and I can not wait to see that too!! All in all I would use them any time I need photos done. read more

When I became engaged last year my friend highly recommended using H & H Photographers in Irvington NY. As I am a "super researcher" and one of the places I checked was Yelp. To my surprise they only earned 2 1/2 stars. I was so puzzled given my friends glowing reviews. I went back to her and told her. She said, yes but look at the grey area where it says reviews not recommended. To my surprise there were lots of really positive reviews. (This makes me really skeptical about believing any reviews on Yelp now- (maybe you have to be an advertiser to get good reviews, I dont know.) Ok, so that's my rant and complaint about Yelp! Even so, we went ahead and made an appointment. We met with Dan and as we are both Cornell alum we bonded right away. Dan took alot of time and meticulously went over details and prices etc. They weren't the cheapest but as they say you get what you pay for. I hate having my picture taken! but Andrea was fantastic. She really was a pro at guiding us into comfortable, natural posed family photos and the candids were awesome. We received a great video and our book was just beautiful. My husband and I booked H&H Photographers after we got a recommendation from our florist (Arcadia Floral in Mammaroneck - who was recommended by our venue, The Garrison- all were wonderful!). We worked with Dan and Larry on the booking and Fred was our photographer. They were all very helpful and responsive to emails/calls with questions and definitely helped us to prepare for gathering family and friends for photos on the big day. Our wedding ended up being the weekend of Hurricane Irene. Our band cancelled on us the night before (don't book Drop Dead Sexy!) so I frantically emailed Dan and he got back to me right away (it was 10pm at night) and told me not to worry, the photographer would be there no matter what. The next morning, Larry called to reassure us that Fred and an assistant would be there no matter what. They arrived on time that day and were extremely professional. They stayed until the very, very end of our party despite the bad weather. We loved working with them and look forward to creating our wedding album. Also, their prices are very, very reasonable considering how much you get. We researched many photographers in the Westchester/Hudson Valley/NYC area and their prices were great! read more

Eric made us so comfortable for our fall engagement pictures and they came out beautiful. Our wedding pictures came out absolutely stunning. Eric did a wonderful job keeping track of the specific shots we wanted. Eric and Chris made us feel at ease and natural as we were taking our shots. Everyone has been very easy to get in touch with and our pictures were available in a very timely manner. We also had a videographer who was able to capture our special day without us even noticing he was there. It was amazing to watch everything and experience it all over again. They give you the entire unedited footage and then edited videos. They were also accommodating with our requests for last minute wedding shots.
